About this property

Spacious cottage on the outskirts of Port Isaac with large garden and parking.

Singing Cottage is a charming place to stay in an extremely peaceful rural setting, yet just a short 7 minute walk into the centre of Port Isaac.
Immaculately presented and offering a high standard of accommodation throughout, Singing Cottage features a large spacious lounge with French doors opening up onto its south facing patio and large garden with furniture where you can enjoy eating alfresco or simply relax with a glass of wine. Inside, the lounge offers three comfortable sofas, a wood burning stove, and a large flat screen TV with DVD player. For the occasional rainy day there is also a WII with assorted games, books and a selection of board games. Free unlimited broadband WIFI is also available for guests to use along with a stereo.
Additionally there are lots of maps and guide books to help you plan your stay.
The main bedroom has sea glimpses and offers a king size bed and large fitted wardrobe. The second bedroom is extremely spacious with two single beds, with a large fitted wardrobe. There is also a desk/study area available. A travel cot is available which could easily be set up in either bedroom. The third bedroom, with a lovely rural outlook, has a set of bunk beds and freestanding wardrobe.
The property has a large kitchen diner offering ample seating for six and is fully equipped with a full size dishwasher, washer drier, fridge freezer, twin oven with induction hob, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine.
There is a family bathroom with a large heated towel rail and powerful shower over the bath.
For your convenience to help you enjoy your stay there are USB charging points around the property. In addition, beach chairs and beach umbrella are available.
Linen and towels are provided and the beds will be made up for your arrival.
One well behaved dog is welcome.
Please Note this property is only available to rent on a Sat to Sat basis.

Family-friendly stay a short walk from Port Isaac

Great for a family holiday a short walk from Port Isaac and within 10 or 20 minutes’ drive of several great beaches. The accommodation was clean, spacious and the owner had clearly thought carefully about what visitors were likely to need during their stay. Would certainly recommend to others.

This is the second time that we have stayed at Singing Cottage and we loved it asuch as the first time. The house is beautifully presented and has everything you need, definitely a home from home. Good location for exploring nearby beaches, visiting Port Isaac but also lovely and peaceful.

Singing Cottage: 10-11 August 2025

Singing Cottage is a beautifully located and equipped cottage. We had a fantastic stay and the cottage provided everything we needed to take advantage of the location and the beautiful food and drink in the surrounding area. We were able to divide our time between cooking in the fantastically stocked kitchen and eating out. Pilchards in Port Gaverne is highly recommended. Clive was a quick and helpful host.

Great Property

Well appointed property which is an ideal base to explore the North Cornwall coast. The property has everything that you could need and the owners were incredibly quick to respond to any queries. The only slight warning is that the property is at the top of a very steep hill out of Port Isaac - it is demanding even if you are fit. Only a comment ....Would definitely recommend

We have stayed once before and we have chosen to stay again because of its exceptional quality. Everything is so clean, fresh and welcoming. All appliances work and are maintained to a high standard. It is well equipped everything provided for a comfortable enjoyable stay. The beds are comfortable, plenty of space in the wardrobes and throughout the cottage. 'Wonderful'

Singing Cottage is an outstanding property in the ideal location for exploring the North Cornwall Coast. Perfectly situated, the cottage provides 'a home away from home' and offers a high standard of comfort and amenity in close proximity to the South West Coastal Path. Picture perfect Port Isaac is only a short stroll away and other well known destinations can easily be reached by car in a relatively short time. Carolyn and Clive were superb hosts who went to great lengths to ensure everything ran smoothly during our stay. Thankyou.

We have just returned home from a truly lovely week in Singing Cottage. The cottage was beautifully presented and well equipped with just about everything you could need - we felt very 'at home' Our grandchildren enjoyed the selection of toys provided and the 'Wi' -a lovely thought- and had we needed, a good selection of beach things. The cottage is in an ideal location, walking distance to Port Isaac!! and lovely beaches within an easy drive . We also walked some of the coastal path experiencing fabulous views. All in all we had a lovely time and would love to return in the future. Thank you for allowing us to share your cottage.

Fantastic Property

We spent 10 days at this lovely property. As other reviewers have said, the cottage has everything you need and more for a self catering holiday. The rooms are very clean, spacious and homely. Welcome gifts of cake, biscuits, milk, juice were very kindly left for us by the owner. The outdoor area is lovely for sunny days and is one of the reasons we booked the cottage. It is a steep road into Port Isaac (and back up the hill again) but we managed it twice. It’s in a great location for visits to Padstow, Rock, Tintagel, Boscastle and other places of interest. Those of you familiar with Cornwall will be aware of the narrow roads which we found a bit daunting at first but soon got used to them. All in all a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend this lovely cottage.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful bungalow. We felt at home from the minute we arrived as absolutely everything has been provided. I always believe in paying a bit more for quality self-catering accommodation, but this was the best of the best. The place is beautifully decorated in a modern style with a seaside theme, spotlessly clean, and is so spacious that our party of four adults, a baby and a dog were very comfortable. The weather wasn’t as good as it had been in the weeks before our holiday so we didn’t get to relax in the garden, but there were several beaches within easy driving distance and we did the walk down to Port Isaac many times. It’s a bit of a climb back up the hill but we resisted the shuttle bus! There were lots of lovely walks for the dog in the fields surrounding Singing Cottage. I would point out that the garden is not enclosed so if your dog is an escape artist like ours you have to keep an eye on them. There was a lovely welcome gift of cookies, flowers and milk, thank you so much Clive! I would thoroughly recommend this lovely bungalow.

Home from home in atemberaubender Lage über dem Küstenort Port Isaac

Wir waren sehr beeindruckt über die netten Kleinigkeiten zum Empfang im Ferienhaus Singing Cottage! Der Check-in hat aufgrund des Schlüsseltresorsystems gut geklappt und das Cottage ist super ausgestattet, sehr sauber und sehr liebevoll mit kleinen Dingen wie ein Beach House dekoriert. Viele Schlafmöglichkeiten und Sitzmöglichkeiten im Wohnzimmer und auf der schönen Terrasse, sowie super Ausstattung der Küche. Vielen lieben Dank für die schöne und sehr ruhige Zeit, die uns die Gastgeber Clive und Carolyn bereitet haben!

Beautiful house with everything you need

Singing cottage is a beautifully presented house which is very well equipped with everything you will need. We had some lovely welcome supplies, including dog treats for our dog, the owners thought of everything. It is closely located to port Isaac, walkable down a steep hill. We definitely hope to visit again.

We are a Bristol based family and have enjoyed many holidays in North Cornwall over the years. We enjoy surfing, body boarding, sailing and walking with our dog who loves running on the beach and swimming in the sea.

Why they chose this property

We bought Singing Cottage in 2015 because we love the area and its location. We are looking forward to many more family holidays here.

What makes this property unique

This property is quite uniquely situated as it is within walking distance of the centre of Port Isaac yet has a large garden and provides parking for two cars. A well behaved dog is welcome.
