Modern house with commanding views - Evermore cottage on Powers Landing Beach
Along a quiet stretch of Chequessett Neck, Evermore rests atop a protected dune on Powers Landing Beach. The three mahogany decks afford more than 180 degree views of Wellfleet Harbor, the Herring River, and Cape Cod Bay. One can take the steps down to the beach for a full day of sport and exploration, or, simply relax in the sunlit living quarters that seem to float above the water like a ship's bridge. A southern orientation, tidal flats, and a robust harbor mean the view is always changing.

Had the best stay at the best house. Beautiful views. Direct stairs to the beach. House was clean and modern with nice kitchen and bathrooms. Would definitely stay again!
My family had a wonderful time at this gorgeous property. The view is even prettier than advertised, and the house had everything we needed to cook and enjoy the beach for a week. We would love to return!
We have stayed at Evermore for more than 5 or 6 years. We have vacationed on the Cape for over 30 years and this is our favorite place! Our home away from home!
The house is beautiful, airy, immaculate with beautiful views of thebbay and a private beach for morning walks.
The hosts are friendly and helpful with any issues that may arise! It’s really the best!
Floors had sand on them-could have been cleaned better.
People before us,left large dog bed with towels on deck.
Otherwise, beautiful house as always with awesome locationand owners are very responsive.
We had a wonderful stay! The home is amazing; very clean, and the kitchen very well stocked. We loved the deck off the kitchen and enjoyed breakfast there when the weather allowed. No complaints -- everything was perfect. It would be nice to have access to a few beach chairs, though! :) I'd definitely stay there again.

Relaxing vacation with amazing views
This amazing property has it all! Amazing views, great living space with all the amenities and conveniences of home and best of all relaxing. We sat and admired the views of the water. The living spaces feel bigger than the pictures on the website. Comfy beds, blinds and awnings for shade, upscale appliances, great linen service, and a washer and dryer made this trip a peaceful retreat. The owners are accommodating and respond quickly to emails. Our family was sad to leave and are planning our next trip back : )
This place does not disappoint! My husband and I, and two close friends rented Evermore to celebrate milestone birthdays and it was the perfect place to do that. This well appointed home sits above the beach with stunning water views, and multiple decks from which to enjoy them. We never wanted to leave.
The owners stocked the place with pretty much everything you would need for a beach vacation and a few things that we didn't know we'd need. They were also great about checking in with us when arrived to make sure that everything was ok.
We'd go back there in heartbeat!
From the minute we walked into this exquisite home with a spectacular view until the minute we left, we enjoyed every minute of this incredibly property. I am so grateful to Debra, Kurt and Matthew for their willingness to share their carefully and lovingly designed home. The views are amazing day and night -- some of the best I have ever experienced in a rental home anywhere. We loved breakfast on the upper deck and happy hour on the lower deck almost every day. The location is perfect for kayaking over to Great Island for a picnic or to Indian Neck Beach to look for shells. Who know there were so many shells in Wellfleet? The tides come in right to the bottom of the steps so walking on the beach is best at low tide -- and so interesting as there are many cool sea creatures in the flats. Water shoes are helpful. The steps from the house to the beach are steep but there is a kayak launch a couple of doors down which would make it easier to get to the beach if stairs are a challenge.
The house itself is wonderfully decorated and the kitchen is user-ready with everything one could possibly need. The owners are super nice and very responsive. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, including quickly providing a new TV when the one onsite died. Thank you, Debra, for being so sweet and kind. You and your family have created something really special and we are so fortunate that you are willing to share it with others. Thank you! Will return!
They did a beautiful job with this property! You feel like you’re riding on the ocean. Views all around , lovely redone kitchen . And the guess are across to National sea shore . A lot of thought went into the bedrooms and design. Decor nautical and classy and not cluttered. Great bookshelf and game selection, too.
We liked the steps down the beach but just be aware if you have older folks (or a recent hip replacement)
There is a public beach and *free* parking (a fine on the cape!) just 1 mile up. Proximity to Great Island is a nice touch, too
Beware mosquito season .
Would stay again and would recommend !
We had another wonderful and restorative week this year at Evermore - so much so that we couldn’t convince my mom to leave. We finally (reluctantly) left just as the cleaning team arrived, closely followed by the Limbachs themselves! Great to finally meet you in person. Thank you for being so responsive when we had issues with the linens and the motorized awnings. The location is extraordinary, especially in the off-season, and the beautifully maintained and appointed home has everything one might need for a homey stay. We meant it when we said “we’ll be back!” Good luck getting rid of us!
This house was so much more than we expected. We knew there were views but we didn't expect this. Sure, there are some stairs to get in, but when you do, it feels like you are on a cruise. Water views everywhere. And then, sure more stairs, but a private beach in your back yard?!?!? We went over to Marconi one day but then decided, Why deal with the hassle? Our beach is better and has no crowds.
We love to cook and this kitchen did not disappoint. Great pots, pans, tools and a great gas cooktop. Did I mention we were looking at the bay while preparing our meals?
Our adult children joined us. We hoped to get three days with them but they saw the place and didn't want to leave. The living area downstairs is great. Nice sitting area and TV (that I didn't turn on all week because we didn't want to leave the views upstairs).
Walks on the beach, watching the shellfishermen bring in their catch, watching the tides come in and go back out... just a great place to be. We have never rented the same property twice but we hope for this to be our first.
Our family stayed at this wonderful beach-side haven for a second year. The location is perfect, the beach is wonderful, and the views are spectacular. The house is decorated with a tasteful, modern aesthetic. It is well-equipped, with everything you need (even every kitchen gadget imaginable).
We thoroughly enjoyed the water sports, renting paddle boards, a kayak, and a Sunfish sailboat, using the owner's mooring (which they generously allowed). The sailing was magnificent, with the wind changing each day. We all enjoyed paddle-boarding out to Great Island.
Surfing the big waves into shore on a return sail was a highlight of the vacation, as was a swim by the full moon.
A happy, wonderful vacation in every way.

The best of the best!
We have been coming up to this area of the Cape for decades and this house was the best we have ever rented. We walked into a bright, open living space with beautiful views of the bay! Everything was clean and well maintained. A kitchen with top of the line appliances including the pots, pans, dishes and glasses! It was only the two of us so we used the master bedroom in which there was lots of closet space and a comfy bed! We truly felt at home in this house and plan to retun next year. It had everything we wanted!

Wonderful home on Wellfleet harbor!
This was our second summer staying at Evermore. Still our favorite house on the Cape after 25 years of renting- the house is gorgeous and bright, extremely well-designed, awesome 180 degree views of the water, and great location in Wellfleet. Owners are always very responsive, we are going back next year. Aways tough to leave here!

Five stars all the way
I can only echo what previous holiday makers have said. The property itself is of an extremely high standard throughout. Its location is fabulous, at the end of a sandy beach. You can walk to Wellfleet along the beach or you can drive in which only takes a few minutes. It's in a very quiet spot and is perfect for chilling out. We loved it and would recommend the property to everyone.

We had an incredible time - the privacy yet full expanse of house, beach and water is incredible. Close to everything (I walked to golf everyday) - beaches, town center - make it a great family retreat.

Beautifully designed and furnished house, great location!
My family (5 of us) stayed at this amazing home right next to Powers Landing beach for four weeks. By far the nicest place we have stayed at in 30 years of rentals on the Cape, from the house itself to the location on the beach in Wellfleet. Close to Wellfleet center, and but also quiet area in a prime spot on Chequesset Neck Rd. We were here for four weeks, and rarely had to go out to Rt. 6 to do errands, etc., because so much great stuff is accessible right in the cute town of Wellfleet. The house itself is recently renovated, with many clever and interesting design ideas that add functionality and visual appeal. Gourmet kitchen, open, bright and airy living areas, super-clean, with a "second living room" on ground level for TV watching or board games in the evening, and all three bedrooms have good privacy. Lots of gorgeous mahogany decks, including one right on the edge of a bluff, with your own set of steps down to the quiet beach. Motorized awnings on the main decks provide shade all day, and two-zone A/C if you need it in the house. And the owners have been great to deal with- responsive by email or phone, and nice people. All is good!

Outstanding house on the water
My family has been coming to Wellfleet off and on for over 15 years so we have rented many different houses. Evermore was by far the best place we have ever rented. The pictures don't even do it justice. It is clean and contemporary and incredibly welcoming. We wanted a house where we could hang out, cook, read, etc. This house was perfect for us. I spent many hours on the upper deck overlooking the bay. At low tied, we walked out and talked to the oyster "farmers" and took walks along the beach. As the tied came in, we went swimming. There are plenty of chairs to sit on the beach if you want. The floor plan is very open so you can easily cook and hang out at the same time. The furniture is very comfortable (including the beds.) The 3 bedrooms were perfect for us, and all of the appliances were new and worked well. The spectacular views of the bay are really something. This is by far the best house we have rented and we look forward to coming back.

Great week in Wellfleet
My first stay on Cape Cod in many years couldn't have been in a better house or location. Our family had a great week in your house. It was comfortable, had everything we needed, and was conveniently located. The view from the decks was great and the grandchildren had a great time searching for souvenirs out on the sandbars when the tide was out. Nearby hikes and attractions meant we had plenty to do. The single night-time thunderstorm on Cape Cod Bay during our week there put on a great light show. We really hated to leave (I almost had to push my wife out the door) and hope to be back in the future.

Perfect home on the water in Wellfleet -- for a family, a group of friends or a romantic get-away!
We just returned from a magical week in Wellfleet. Evermore Cottage was perfect, even better than the photos and description. "Cottage" does not do it justice. This is a recently rebuilt, very well designed home -- in the ideal location between Wellfleet Harbor and Grand Island. You are close to Wellfleet Pier, the restaurants and market (but not too close) and hiking trails on Grand Island are just a couple of minutes in the other direction. You can launch your kayaks right from the beach in front; stairs lead down to the sand and water.
The house has two levels, which is great for a family or a group of friends. There is a large bedroom, bath, kitchen and dining room upstairs -- with windows all around, and a deck with magnificent views. Downstairs there are a nice bedroom, two bunk beds and a bath with another deck and more amazing views, plus a little deck perched right at the edge of the bluff, looking over the water. (The perfect spot for a romantic dinner, glass of wine, or to just read a book.)
My wife and I were there by ourselves, and loved it -- so Evermore is also perfect for just two.
Unlike some of the other homes we've rented on the Cape, Evermore also feels private and peaceful. You are not ten feet from a house on the left and right, with other kids (and parents) screaming at each other. (Yep, we've been there!)
The full kitchen is great if you want to cook. My wife is a master chef and we bought excellent tuna, sword and scallops at Mac's fish market on the pier. The Wellfleet Market and Hatch's market across the street have everything else. So if you would like to cook a nice meal or two at "home", no problem.
We highly recommend hiking and kayaking around Great Island. There are two basic hiking routes around Great Island -- (a) the 'marsh side', which is beautiful but includes a long stretch through loose sand, and (b) the 'bay side', which faces the wind and waves. The Bay side is better for small kids, elders and an easier walk, particularly as the tide is going out, because the sand if firmer and easier to walk on. Kayaking around the Great Island marsh and the Wellfleet harbor area is also not-to-be-missed. If you will be a first-timer, the Bay side location is sheltered and the perfect place to start. For everyone, there is much natural wonder you can see if you glide up quietly on a kayak, close to the shore. (Jack's is best for kayak rentals: www.jacksboatrental.com )
Enjoy! Mark

About the host
Hosted by Limbach Family
Our family is from Pittsburgh, although Debra and Kurt spent almost a decade living in New England and over thirty years vacationing there. We spend significant time on Cape Cod every year. Some of our favorite activities include surfing, boating and taking whale-watch cruises out of Provincetown.
Why they chose this property
Evermore is located on a quiet, pristine stretch of the Cape. Still, the house's convenient location affords easy access to Wellfleet town center and all of its amenities.
What makes this property unique
Unlike most houses on the Cape, or any ocean community for that matter, Evermore offers direct access to the beach. The water is literally just outside your back door.
Much of our own vacation time is spent at Evermore. The house augments our already incredible experiences on the Cape, and its maintenance, cleanliness and decoration are just as important to us as to anyone else who will enjoy this property. We would not rent a this house to you if we did not love it %100 ourselves.
