Glorious Wellfleet oceanside retreat! Three bedroom, two-and-a-half bath, air-conditioned, spacious, quiet, private cape with outdoor deck, gas grill, updated appliances, high-speed internet, outdoor shower, wooded backyard, with National Seashore across the street. Close to several kettle ponds (Duck, Great, Dyer), easy drive to Wellfleet Center (less than five minutes away), or enjoy an afternoon at Cahoon Hollow beach or surf White Crest (eight minutes away).

After a day at one of the ponds or the beach, relax on the large back deck – or the hammock. Enjoy your drink and smell the fish cooking on the gas grill. Or lounge on the comfy sectional in the cathedral-ceilinged living room and listen to music or log on to your Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime account.

If you absolutely have to work, we’ve got "Extreme Pro Internet" (e.g., 600 mb downloads) with a separate ethernet connection available in the downstairs bedroom

Don’t worry about those really hot nights, the mini-split air conditioners in each of the bedrooms will ensure you sleep comfortably and if it’s cold, snuggle up on the large sectional and flip on the gas fireplace.

After dinner, play cribbage, Scrabble, or one of the many board games or play a game of pool or ping-pong on the table downstairs.

And then guess what: Do the exact same thing tomorrow!

Classic Cape in beautiful Wellfleet

Great property. Nice deck in the back yard with lots of pitch pine and scrub oak. Nicely equipped kitchen. Short drive to the beach and town. Very comfortable.

Perfect Wellfleet Vacation

The house was exactly as listed. Perfect for a family vacation! Good times playing pool and everyone loved the hammock and outdoor shower! Very private backyard to enjoy time with family. The deck was our favorite place to eat! Property manager was very responsive. House was extra clean when we arrived. Great location within 15 minutes of several ocean and bay beaches, all of which we enjoyed! Would highly recommend this home!

Good solid choice

Very good communication. Nice location. Quiet. Great living room and light. House as advertised. Two minor negatives: thin walls so that you hear water in pipes when upstairs bathroom used and kitchen had basic supplies, but still a little thin if you cook.

You were the new owners’ first guests so they were glad to hear that you enjoyed the house. The privacy and quietness of this setting, nestled at edge of woodland, could make the sounds of daily living startling. It is important to the owners that renters feel welcomed and be comfortable so they would welcome any suggestions – especially what would have made the kitchen more conducive to cooking as it is pretty well equipped already.

Secluded bliss

This was a beautiful, secluded property with a spacious house. It was immaculate and so open with so much natural light. The deck opened up to what seemed like secluded woods, and it was so peaceful to just listen to the birds while drinking coffee. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was plenty of living space. The property was close to all that was good, including great bakeries, restaurants, and so many sunrises and sunsets. Margie was fantastic and quickly responded when we needed her. We will certainly be back and hope to stay here!

Idyllic stay

The home was spacious with bright, natural light, but isolated from the neighbors, with easy access to both the bay, ocean side nand ponds, as well as an eclectic range of eating spots. Wellfleet center is a quick ride, where the market opens at 7 am, so parking is very easy. Loved the peacefulness of the deck and the abundance of stars. Small frustration: The owners wanted us out by 9 am , rather than the VRBO contract which stated 10:00. With an 11 month-old, this made a leaving Saturaday morning somewhat hectic. But again: phenomenal place.

A memorable getaway

This lovely home is in a very quiet, peaceful and pleasant neighborhood. It was perfect for our little one - slept through the night, every night! The open plan and way the home fills with natural light added so much to our relaxing week away. The back patio is so peaceful and although I thought it might be buggy, it wasn’t at all. The proximity to the ponds and beaches were also a plus. Mayo beach was definitely a little gem we had passed many times before on previous trips to the Cape, but since it was so easy to get to and perfect for a little one - it became our go-to! We had a couple things come up during our stay, but Margie gives a whole ‘nother meaning to ‘premier host’. Her responsiveness, care, good nature and help made it so we could quickly continue enjoying our week away with nana and papa. We made some wonderful memories that will never be forgotten. When is it time to go back to Wellfleet? We are ready!

Spacious House with Deck

Very clean and spacious. It's a rental house not a home so little things are missing like a hair dryer, a scissors etc. However, we very much enjoyed our stay with the spacious deck and an outdoor shower.

Extended stay

We needed a place to stay for a month while construction of our house, in the next town, was completed and 50 Dow fit the bill. It was comfortable, pretty, clean, great setting in a beautiful neighborhood, accessible to beautiful trails, plenty of space to work and relax. April was still chilly, so having the fireplace was wonderful. It was just the two of us so we had plenty of room, but the house is plenty big to accommodate a family. I highly recommend 50 Dow.

Labor Day weekend in wellfleet

We had the best time at dow. Area is quiet and secluded but close to so many great beaches and wellfleet center. Property was super clean!

Idyllic Wellfleet retreat

This is a well maintained property with a beautiful flower garden. The property and appliances are very recent. The location is quiet and on the ocean side of Rte 6. We rode our bikes to Great Pond for excellent freshwater swimming and to Cahoon Hollow Beach for big ocean waves. These rides were no problem for 10 year old kids. Getting into Wellfleet requires crossing Rte 6 and is less amenable to cycling, especially with kids and is too far to walk. The house has a great deck at the back but it is not screened and during our stay the mosquitoes were too abundant to be able to use the deck for long periods. The house has everything you need, but would benefit from additional cutlery and glasses for larger parties. The property manager Margaret was very responsive and helpful.
