Great location in south tahoe. Easy access to everything and you can walk down to the lake. Beds were comfy and the place was nicely stocked. We had a great stay!
Everything exceeded our expectations. The house was clean and cozy, and our kids loved playing in the snowy backyard. The host was very kind and responsive. Highly recommend!
This cabin was much larger than we expected- worked perfectly for our family! It’s walking distance to the lake, stores and a playground. It’s an older, rustic- feeling home but charming and well maintained. I’d recommend it!
Pros - great location, roomy, lots of beds
Cons - no AC (was in 90's - should make this more obvious), large ant holes covering entire front and back yard, problem with check-in process and difficult to reach host, last minute notification of broken washer and unable to fix it during the stay

We really try to stay on top of things, however, things can go a bit awry.
In the past, it hasn't been so warm as to warrant air conditioning. With climate change, it looks like we will have to address this in some way. Usually windows open and the fans/swamp cooler can help, but this week it has been extra hot in Tahoe. As for the washer...it is new! Unfortunately, the company had to wait for parts to be able to repair it.
Lots of room for family gathering. Everything you need. Great kitchen, well stocked for those who love to cook. Beds were comfortable. Location was perfect !!!
Walk to restaurants and beaches, library, indoor city pool, and parks. Owner quick to respond and went out and bought AC’s for us during the unusual heatwave. Quiet old neighborhood with no through traffic. Keep it slow Tahoe ! 🚗

Cozy cottage
We were very happy with our stay. The house is adorable and a perfect cozy Tahoe relaxing house. There are some strange things in the design but it makes it fun and quirky and does not impede the enjoyment at all. Rooms were all great, 3 large and 1 small. Well equipped and the owner is very responsive. Our only complaint is the heater is strange so some rooms get really hot in order to get others to heat up. There are some space heaters too but it was all a bit complicated (there are instructions). Everything is very organized.
The cabin included everything we needed and was located within walking distance to the store, lake, water sports rental and bike rental. We enjoyed our stay in cute little cabin where everything was clean. The only negative was the amount of bugs located inside on the main floor mostly. We spectate that they are large adult termites. There also appears to be a mouse living in the kitchen. We woke one morning to find a granola bar in a zip lock bag chewed through and partially eaten. We mostly just slept at the cabin and typically camp, so although the extra guests were not desirable, we made due. If those two items were addressed, we would stay there again.

This year seems to have been bug year! We have been here for 6 years and this is the first summer we have had these visitors. I will address both issues right away.
We had a great time during our week at the house. No problems checking in, and the essentials were covered. The kids had fun with the putting green in the back. The beds were comfortable. The house does have a moth problem, which turned out to be a major problem for my 9 year old, who was terrified of them. I cooked several meals in the kitchen and had no issue with the stove, oven, fridge, freezer, or sink. We did run short on towels with just 4 of us and had to wash some. The dryer gave us some problems and had to be run several times, even with just clothes in it. The hair dryer provided didn't want to do any drying either. It only blows cold air. The house could also do with a little bit of general repair and maintenance, but I felt we got good value for the price. We had a heck of a time with the charcoal brickets we bought to grill one night and ended up cooking inside. Based on the photos we had expected a gas grill, so that's something to be aware of. We loved eating at Freshies, which we walked to. If anyone in your party has food restrictions, check them out. It's also an easy walk to the beach, but it was so crowded, we opted to drive to Kings Beach instead. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was a much needed escape from covid isolation at home. Thank you for a relaxing week.

I am so sorry to hear about the moths. I have not seen any in the 4 years we have been there, so this is a surprise. I will be addressing this immediately. As for the towels, there should have been plenty as we always put two on each bed. I will check with the housekeeper. Will work on getting a new hair dryer and changing the photo of the grill. So glad you had a good time otherwise.
I was there with my besties for our annual girls weekend. We loved the place. Everything was perfect! The rooms were great, the kitchen perfect (well stocked) and the location central to everything. We hope to stay their again next year!
The host were very good getting back to us, she said we were the first guest from the east coast, of course we didn't know if we were going to be able to stay because of the evacuation. Luckily it all worked out. More then enough room for the six of us, would stay there again if we visit lake Tahoe in the future
Summer: Walk to the beach or short drive to trailheads
The house was perfect for our family - my wife and I + adult children and their spouses. House was quaint / old South Lake Tahoe - endearing to all of us with pine walls, etc. We were out and about during the day and found the living room area / dining /kitchen areas great for gathering before going to bed. Walked to the beach where you can rent paddle boards. Drove to trailhead up to Eagle Lake - Beautiful.
Looking forward to returning for skiing in a winter or two!
We loved this place! It’s in a quiet neighborhood and is a cute and cozy cabin. The owner had excellent communication about our stay. The beds were really comfortable. The living room was perfect for us to hang out when we were relaxing after a fun day at the beach. At first we were worried about the heat upstairs without having an AC. However, it cools down really well at night. We opened the windows and each room has a fan as well which helped cool the rooms down. We will definitely be back!
The property was a nice location. The rules were clear. Communication with the owners was good. The house does need air conditioning but it was made clear it didn't have it. There were fans in every room, however which helped. There was one portable swamp cooler. The upstairs gets really hot but it was also the middle of summer. Thank you for an accurate stay.
Fantastic location can walk to a beach and store.
Older house, has some quirks - upstairs level is small - upstairs bathroom super tiny but the bedrooms are nice.
Neighborhood had bears during our stay — must follow all bear precautions!
This house is as described and allows for plenty of room for everyone. It’s very comfortable and close to everything. This is our 2nd stay here and we’ll definitely be back!
My family and I had a wonderful time. I would give it 5 stars, except that it was ridiculously hot in Tahoe (over 100) and the cabin has no air conditioning.

About the host
Hosted by Jocelyn Littlejohn and David Romero
We love the mountains and lake and realized we needed to get away from the city (Sacramento) and visit here more often. Owning a second home was never in our thoughts until a certain visit to the area. Once the idea came to light, there was no turning back.
Why they chose this property
We had looked at a number of houses in town, and as soon as we walked into this Tahoe Cabin we knew right away that this would be our 'home away from home'. The quiet neighborhood, the knotty pine interior, fireplace, large backyard, and being near so much that South Lake Tahoe has to offer are what we love so much.
What makes this property unique
The cabin is so close to everything here. It is an easy to walk around the neighborhood, to the lake, the recreation center, grocery store, etc. You can take a short drive to Stateline or to the many hiking trails. It is also a great place to just stay put and enjoy the solitude.
