Activities:
The main attraction, is of course the beach, Located by the Yacht Harbor, Twin Lakes Beach has a mile of uninterrupted white sand, fire-pits and lifeguards.
Santa Cruz was voted the #1 outdoor town by Outdoor Magazine: 'Santa Cruz is the epitome of the California beach lifestyle.

There are also restaurants (the renowned Crows Nest restaurant), a coffee house, surf shop general store, and bathrooms within waling distance. Relax and play in the sand, rent a boat or kayak, boogie board, play beach volleyball and enjoy fabulous sunsets.

Visit “the hook” or Cowell’s beach for great surfing, hang out at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk amusement park, check out the shops and restaurants in Downtown Santa Cruz or nearby Capitola Village, hike the beautiful trails in the redwood forest or bike along the coastline - all of which are just minutes away.

And, don’t miss the incredible sea life at the Monterey Bay Aquarium located just forty minutes South of Santa Cruz.

West coast excursion

The seahorse was the perfect spot for our stint in Santa Cruz. Our first time there the house was steps to the beach, volleyball courts, and restaurants. The house was very clean, could hear the crashing waves, and appointed with beach chairs and boogie boards too. We can’t wait to come back!

Had a great visit. The house was very comfortable for our little kids. Everything we needed to make meals and go to the beach. Just wish the outlets had covers (we ended up covering them ourselves). Bring a semi wide gate for the stairs if you have little kids/babies. We will definitely visit again!!

We rented this house in June 2021 and loved it so much we returned to ring in 2023. There were 6 of us in our party and the house comfortably accommodated all of us with plenty of space. You can’t beat the location of this home. Only steps from the beach and able to hear the waves crashing at night when falling asleep. The kitchen is fully outfitted for making family dinners, decor is on point, and the patio in the front is perfect for watching the waves.

Nothing but great things to say about this property!

This property really is awesome. The location is steps from the ocean, has a great patio in front with a view of the ocean and the entire upper level of the home has varying views of the beach. The bedrooms are all large and comfortable. There is plenty of space for everyone to eat and hang out. The furniture is comfortable and the television in the living room is enormous. The kitchen is decently-sized and has everything you need to make meals with your family and the back patio has a nice grill. The owner is incredible communicative and helpful. The location is also excellent, steps from the beach and a short walk from a couple restaurants. It's a short walk from a lighthouse, several other scenic beaches and about a 20-25 minute walk from the boardwalk and wharf. Lastly the property has all of the fine details covered....the linens are high quality and comfortable and the entire place is very clean. The artwork and entire beach feel of the interior is well done as well.

Great Place

Owner was very communicative. The property has great views of the beach and the ocean. If your group likes to walk, making it to the lighthouse is a good goal. Property is a block from the beach and a block from the fire pits on the beach, which is the only place you can have fires on the beach. Overall great property and great location. Property is very spacious inside and out. Between the beach and on-site seating there are plenty of spaces to gather with your group and just hang out. Including the fire pit in the back… s’mores.

Always a good time here

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, this is one of the best rentals you can find in Santa Cruz. Two houses away from the beach, walking distance to Crows Nest and Johnnys Harborside (which has amazing fresh catch of the day fish), clean and tastefully decorated. The hosts are on top of it and communication is a breeze. Looking forward to our trip back next year!
