Wonderful Property

Gorgeous house in fabulous scenery and good value. Location is well connected, yet rural enough. Great garden with pool too. Only issue we had was that the local town had it's music festival the week we were there - so most nights were a bit noisy. Hey ho, no matter.

Beautiful

The property was well located with easy and good access to Aramante the Douro valley and Porto. The garden and house are secluded and the surrounding area of vineyards was very quiet and peaceful. The house was really well equipped and very nice with lots of hot water and towels for the pool. We enjoyed walking around the area and into Aramante along the new footpath next to the river. We had a really relaxing stay and would throughly recommend the house to people.

Wow! We just spent 10 days at this beautiful cottage and had an amazing time. The cottage is incredible, full of character, and even better than the pictures. It has the family's own touches and everything that you want or need for the perfect stay is there, exactly where you expect to find it.The grounds are amazing and the lovely big pool (at least 10m long, maybe 12m?), a small climb up, in the large garden just above the property is fantastic, especially as the temperatures were mostly in the 30's last week, up to 38c at one point. The area in front of the cottage is very neat and tidy with 2 or 3 different areas to catch the sun or shade, with the bbq and various seating options.Despite the temperature, it was easy to keep the cottage cool; we kept the shutters closed during the day when the sun was out and we had no problem sleeping.Diogo is a real gentleman. We went to Porto for 2 days and he offered to show us around on day 2. Unfortunately, we couldn't quite make it work as we wanted to explore the coast that day but it was a kind, genuine offer that we appreciated. Diogo is very responsive to messages and so we knew we would have support there if we needed it.There are a few properties nearby but they do not impact on the stay if you are looking for total peace and tranquility, as we were. It's good to know you're not totally isolated. Also ideally located for walking & cycling.This is an amazing place, definitely an 11 out of 10 and we hope to return soon.

Wir hatten einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub in diesem schönen Haus. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt, um sich wohl zu fühlen. Das Haus und die Umgebung sind fantastisch! Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und fühlten uns sehr willkommen.

Nous avons passé un tres bon séjour. Le lieu était parfait. Petit point négatif la literie, les matelas sont tres dure. Et je pense qu'il faut revoir le système de filtration de la piscine car il y a avait beaucoup de saletés et d'algues . Sinon Diogo est un tres bon hote ,très sympathique. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

A casinha do Monte est un lieu magique, la maison, le jardin et la vue sont magnifiques. Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances La maison est très bien équipée, nous n'avons manqué de rien si ce n'est d'une clim dans les chambres. Les températures étant très fortes nous avons du racheter un ventilateur mais malgré tout les nuits étaient difficiles. La dame qui nous accueille ainsi que son mari sont extrêmement gentils, très discret mais réactif en cas de besoin . Leur maison se trouve en contre bas.C'est avec grand plaisir que je reviendrai passer des vacances chez Monsieur Diogo

La maison de Diogo est très agréable pour vivre une semaine de vacances et visiter le nord du Portugal. Le jardin invite à la détente grâce au calme et quant à la piscine, un vrai bonheur avec les fortes chaleurs ! Nous avons passé un très bon moment en famille avec les enfants.A conseiller !

Charmant parardijsje

Wij waren hier een weekje met onze oudere kinderen, en hebben genoten van het huis. Het is net of je in het huis van vrienden verblijft. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig, prettig zwembad, keukengereedschap, inclusief afwasmachine en heerlijke wijn (€6 per fles). Het was warm overdag, maar het huis blijft koel. Er is geen wifi, wat op zicht geen probleem is, want er is goed bereik met de telefoon, maar dat heeft bij ons wel veel data gekost. (zorg voor wat extra GBs, als dat relevant is) Onderaan de heuvel 5-10 min. Lopen, is een mooi rivierstrandje, met nieuw aangelegd wandelpad richting Amarante (5km?). Waar allemaal leuke restaurantjes & meerdere supermarkten zitten. Helemaal top!

Nous avons passé un bon sejour . Diogo a été facilement joignable ; bonne situation pour visiter la région; exterieurs agréables, grande piscine bien rafraîchissante; il faisait un peu chaud à l'étage dans les chambres des enfants (plein été); sinon tout était bien.

Charmante maison traditionnelle proche de la nature

La maison toute en pierre est bien équipée et spacieuse : il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans la cuisine et dans les chambres. Nous avons apprécié la piscine privative et le jardin qui est magnifique (bien entretenu et fleuri). La présence d'une suite parentale est un plus. Malgré l'absence de clim nous n'avons pas souffert de la chaleur car la maison reste fraîche. La maison est bien située à proximité de la rivière (on peut s'y baigner) et il est possible de visiter facilement les environs, dont Porto (à environ 40min de voiture). Le propriétaire très sympa nous a gentiment accueilli en français. Merci !

Toller Aufenthalt

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche im Haus. Der Pool und die Wiese sind sehr groß und sehr gepflegt. Morgens wird man von den Nachbar Hunden und Hähnen geweckt. Bei einer leeren Gasflasche haben wir sofort Abhilfe erhalten. Toller Gastgeber!

Super séjour

À part, pour trouver la maison, ce qui fut un peu compliqué, excellent séjour. Une maison agréable, endroit calme, piscine sympa... En bonus, le parking pour la voiture faisait un très beau terrain de pétanque! Diogo est joignable très facilement et vraiment gentil. À conseiller !
