Mansion - Nancras

A few kilometers (17) from the beaches and golf, this house dating from the 19th century is surrounded by a park of more than one ha, wooded with many kinds of trees and plants. The private garden is 1050 m². The home has been totally renovated this year (2011) in a spirit true to it’s original architecture with fine fixtures and top of the line quality all in the respect of the environment. The ground floor is specially equipped for persons with disabilities.
This home provides a larger living space with 3 bedrooms (13m², 14m² and 19m²), including a spacious living area (40m²) with a large fireplace of the 19th century, a kitchen and dining area (32m²), the very beautiful kitchen with stainless steel worktop is entirely equipped with all the essential utilities to provide in the wellbeing of the stomach and especially a large modern stove with 5 fire and furnace, dishwasher, a large “American” fridge, toaster etc.. Two bathrooms (7 m² itch ) with toilet and shower. Laundry including washing machine and dryer. TV, DVD, HI-FI, Internet and phone (France only). The beautiful swimming pool (10.5m x 7 m) depth from 90cm to 2.20m; the water treatment is made with salt.
This pool is only shared this the owners (3pers), a large terrace around is composed of 110m² of wood and 80m² of very fine sand beach.

Hidden gem in tiny hamlet

This lovely, comfortable and very well-equipped house is a joy to stay at. The house and pool area are set in beautiful and well-tended woody grounds. The pool area (with truly comfortable deck chairs) is tastefully designed; two big palm trees and a pebble beach give it a tropical feel. Charming towns and sweeping, quiet beaches can be found at half an hour drive. The very helpful owner directed us to some great places and restaurants we would otherwise probably not have found. Holiday home is in the same grounds as owner’s house but clearly separate.

Excellent séjour dans une maison spacieuse, bien équipée et joliment décorée. Les visites, et elles sont nombreuses, aux alentours sont presque toutes à moins de 30 mn. Le jardin est très agréable, très arboré ce qui appréciable surtout par forte chaleur. Quant à la piscine c'est un vrai bonheur de nager au milieu des palmiers et des fleurs

Très bon séjour en Charente

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine entre amis même si le soleil à joué à cache cache…. Le gîte est magnifique, tout confort. Très belle piscine, très beau jardin (balançoire pour les enfants). Des hôtes très sympathiques qui nous ont bien informé sur les sites à visiter. Très belle région et le gîte est idéalement placé moins de 25 minutes de la mer. Nous reviendrons certainement car nous n’avons pas eu le temps de tout visiter. Merci à Nathalie et Bertrand.

Maison parfaitement équipée et située pour passer un excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ( 2 couples + 4 enfants - 6ans) dans cette charmante maison typique charentaise. La maison possède tous les équipements nécessaires et la piscine est juste somptueuse. Bertrand et Nathalie sont à la fois discrets et très à l écoute et prennent plaisir à donner des tuyaux pour profiter au maximum de la région. Je recommande vivement cette location !

Dirty, old house without privacy

We chose this holiday home as it had good reviews, a pool and was quiet as described. Unfortunately it was dirty in the house and badly cleaned. We first had to clean the kitchen and pans so they could be used. The house is located together with the landlords in the same area. What we did not know. Otherwise we would not have booked. The pool was in the middle of two houses and we were allowed to use it alone, but an important for us privacy did not arise. Also this week was a detour and we had traffic right outside the house like trucks, track gates and vehicles. Too bad. Unfortunately, we can not recommend this house. We made the best of it and went from morning to late at night a lot on the way. This house needs renovation urgently. Cosiness does not come up. The rooms partly stink of old and damp. Dreadful.

Agréable et tout confort

En famille (2 adultes & 3 ados) nous avons passé 15 jours de vacances agréables. On se sent vite chez soi et tout y est. La piscine est magnifique et bien entretenue. Les propriétaires sont tout près et toujours prêts à donner de bons conseils (dégustation de pineau, les meilleures huitres et les plus belles plages, etc…). Nous avons visité Saintes, Royan, Talmont, Cognac, Aulnay, Dampierre-sur-Boutonne et Bordeaux. Et il y a encore tant d’autres choses à voir et à faire. Destination à recommander !

Tres beau gîte dans une belle région

Gîte très spacieux, bien agencé et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et font leur maximum pour rendre votre séjour très agréable. La piscine est un vrai plus et permet aux enfants de tous les ages de s'amuser (sous le contrôle des parents...). Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte.
