We left with such great memories of our stay here. Beautiful gardens surround a warm and welcoming home. Although it was too cool for swimming, we enjoyed relaxing poolside, with the view of Ceglie Messapica. Comfortable and spacious, this was one of the best residences we've enjoyed in Italy. Thank you for providing such a tranquil environment so close to all we wanted to see in Puglia. We hope to come back one day!

Very nice house, with all the necessary comfort to have an excellent stay. The environment is ideal for resting and visiting the main tourist sites in the region. Our host has always been very responsive and available to answer our questions or solve small hazards during stays away from home. We highly recommend this house to all lovers of authentic life outside of urban sites.

This place is a gem and has everything you need to spend an unforgettable vacation. We stayed there for 9 nights a loved it every single second. The road to and from the Trullo is a little bumpy. We rented a normal car but a little SUV would have been a little more comfortable. However, don't hesitate to st1u there. Furthermore, the housekeeper Anthony is a very helpfull person. Super destination Super holiday. A bit sad to return home.

The pool and its view were excellent. The entire property was tastefully decorated. The kitchen had everything you would need for making meals.Robert was very helpful and friendly and sent us a detailed info pack about the property and useful information about local restaurants etc. Andrew, the property manager, was also friendly and helpful whenever we needed to contact him to address things that went wrong.

Fantastic Trullo, kitted out to a high spec. Lots of space, great pool and very peaceful. Within easy reach of great towns like Ceglie and Cisternino as well as popular places like Alberabello and Matera. Relax by the pool all day and explore in the evenings! Host was very easy to communicate with and we had no issues at all. Mid stay cleaning was very thorough too. Highly recommended!

Great Trullo experience

Unique stay in a traditional Trullo style house; plenty of room, with style and character. A spacious kitchen and a nice sized pool. Situated about easy 10min drive from Ceglie Messapica town along a quite narrow but reasonably good road. A good base location to visit some of the towns in Val D’Itra

Beautiful, spacious and fabulous trullo in a very peaceful location. We had everything we needed during our stay, the beds were very comfortable and there were lots of places to socialise or find your own space (indoors and outdoors). La Dolce Vita in Mandorleto, Ceglie Messapica

Mandorleto is a beautiful renovated trullo in a quiet area, surrounded by olive trees. The house is very nicely decorated and very clean. Lovely garden with various terraces and a swimmingpool with a marvellous view! Nice villages in the neighbourhood to visit as well as good Italian restaurants! We love it!

We have a truly wonderful stay. The house is exactly what we needed - spacious, clean, peaceful, practical and beautifully placed in the countryside. Unique and beautiful trullo in Ceglie Messapica

We had a great vacation at the trullo. Robert provided excellent and detailed information about the house and surrounding area. Staying at the home provided an authentic feel of trullo-living with the benefits of modern amenities and a beautiful pool. My only suggestions are a few more fans and some roadwork on the bumpy local neighborhood road.

Fantastic days in Puglia

We thouroughly recommend the villa. A great location out in the country and 10 mins from the Ceglie Messapica. Plenty of space in the Villa for the 5 of us and the facilities are excellent. The pool area was excellent and there are several eating areas. We used the barbeque a couple of times and for the other 6 nights visited local towns to eat. Very relaxing and great communication from the hosts. a big success....

An unforgettable, amazing

Mandoroleto exceeded our expectations in every way.The house is spacious and attractive with something special in every room. We are a group who cooks and we have never had such a well equipped and well organized kitchen. We enjoyed the ripe persimmons. Excellent information was provided to help us with the house and in our explorations, on foot and by car, of the area. We enjoyed our peaceful and fascinating stay immensely.

Idyllic holiday

Fabulous property, great location for a restful time, the region is stunning, un-spoilt and local towns are beautiful. Food and wine was off the charts and so nice not to see The Red Lion or others of that ilk, just Italian through and through. Both coasts are stunning, Matera and Alborobello were amazing as was most of what we saw. The owners were very easy to deal with and the property hosts could not have been more accommodating if they had tried. The nearby pizza restaurant in the hills was charming, the food was very good, the location lovely and the staff were amazing!!! Overall a fantastic holiday, will be back in the future, could not recommend this place and region more highly!!

Lovely comfortable property, great pool and gardens

This house was comfortable and spacious, well equipped and pool was great! Outside shady area next to pool is good but needs an extra layer of bamboo do that you don’t get sunburnt through the shade. Lovely comfortable seating by the pool. Great location close to beautiful towns to visit - Martina Franca, Ostuni, Alberabello, Monopoli etc. Really good pizzeria in closest village but you need to book - lovely open air village square dining area.We loved the roof terraces with panoramic views.All in all a great holiday and lovely property - only improvement would have been aircon which would have been great when the temperature got to 43 degrees. The fans in each bedroom were good.

Peaceful, comfortable and a haven in Puglia

We were given a marvellous welcome pack by the owners of this wonderful Trullo and so we had all the information we needed at our fingertips. It is beautifully furnished and has so many corners to sit outside and enjoy the olive trees or relax poolside. Close to the many stunning Puglian villages and towns like Cisternino and Alberobello and within striking distance of the sea. So there is the opportunity to relax at the Trullo or to marvel at wonderful sights . It made for an unforgettable holiday and we returned totally refreshed to UK. Thank you to the owners who have created such a haven.

Fun property very well equipped

The checking in and information pre holiday was superb and we knew exactly what to expect. The Trulli are split so one end has two bedrooms and a bathroom while the other end has another bedroom and bathroom. That was great for us as for our daughter and son in law could then have some privacy. The pool was wonderful and with temperatures often mid 30's it was lovely to cool down or just have an early morning swim There is a bar b q and one of the Ceglie supermarkets has fresh fish and gave us appropriate fish to cook. It's not a very touristy part which is nice.

A lovely stay in the country side

From the beginning, months before our stay, the communication was always easy and very usefull. We had been welcome by Anthony, who gave us many tips and suggestions of restaurants, attractions and things to do in the area.The trullo is very well equiped and lovely decorated. Our family enjoyed the garden, the pool and the terrace. During our stay it was very hot but unfortunately no air conditionner in the house, just fans in each bedrooms…It was still very hot and I would say that this is the only negative point.If you want to have the impression of being alone, cut off the world, this is the perfect spot! The city of Ceglie Messapica is lovely and very good restaurants!We would recommend this place to any one but you must have a car!

Magnificent Trullo in Tranquil Surroundings

This property was truly amazing, in every sense of the word. The information booklet sent in advance was very useful and told us so much about the area, which places were best to visit and some of the best places to eat. Hayley and Anthony, who met us and showed us round the wonderful Trullo, were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The pool was enjoyed by everyone, especially the children. Our favourite restaurant was Vino fritti e Cucina in Ceglie, but we also enjoyed Pizzeria in Pescarosa, being fairly close to the Trullo. Our favourite place that we visited was Alberobello, and we loved the beaches on the Adriatic coast. It was a wonderful holiday with many happy memories for my brothers 40th birthday. Quiet seclusion

We are a family of 5 and have recently (start of August) spent a week in this lovely villa. It is very spacious inside and surprisingly cool considering there is no A/C. At night, we utilised the electric fans in each bedroom which were very welcome. Externally, the good sized pool was a real hit with our boys and, being in a raised position, we were afforded lovely distant views and a cooling breeze. There are no immediate neighbours and the sense of seclusion is very apparent - a real 'get away from it all'. Our boys enjoyed the 2.5km jog through the quiet local lanes as outlined in the information booklet. We ventured into Ceglie at night but we particularly liked Martina Franca and Ostuni; both had a class about them with a very good selection of restaurants. We liked the fact that the whole area is not very touristy so we had to practise our limited Italian more often than not. Beach-wise, we loved Monticelli and it's brilliant waves and cool 'White Beach' club (although a bit pricey). The only minor complaint about our whole stay would be that the drawers in some of the rooms were quite dusty and we had to lay a towel down before placing our clothes inside. We would gladly recommend the property however.

A piece of paradise in Puglia

As a true Puglia lover, I was on the hunt for a property which could cater to my family as I wanted to share the beauty of the region with them and Trullo Mandoreto exceeded our expectations. Ceglie Messapica is my preferred location in Puglia and this property is in the perfect location, only a short drive from the town but still amongst the beautiful olive groves and near to the local farmshop Masseria Sepunisi which was amazing for cheese, yoghurts and ham. The trullo itself was brilliant and allowed my family to have the most wonderful holiday. Robert and Ina have created a beautiful home which allows you to relax whilst enjoying the magnificent pool, views and BBQ. We particularly enjoyed how there were many seating locations which gave everyone enough space. The trullo was beautifully clean and comfortable and was the perfect setup for 6 adults sharing. We spent many nights having wonderful BBQs and watching the sunset. We highly recommend the local pizzeria which was recommended to us by the lovely Hayley and we also dined at Osteria Pugliese for a very laidback dinner as well as our usual favourite Da Frano and Relax. Special shout out to Il Brillo Parlante on Centro Storico in Ceglie Messapica which is a beautiful bar/restaurant in a historic square. Thank you so much to Robert and Ina (and Hayley!) who made our experience of staying here perfect. They are the best hosts I have ever experienced and my family are keen to return. Thank you again! This was a great property giving us a real feel for life in a Trullo in rural Puglia. The fully equipped kitchen and pool were a real bonus as were the fruit trees with ripe figs and the BBQ. A perfect location from which to visit key Puglia sights and to chill, especially in the heat.
