Greenbanks 2. Damerham Self Catering. The perfect getaway for just couples

Greenbanks 2 is ideal for two people and is fully equipped with everything you could need for a break in the country of walking, riding, cycling and even relaxing.
If outdoor activities are not your cup of tea, this New Forest holiday apartment allows you to enjoy the spectacular views of the Damerham countryside from your very own patio.
The garden is alive with wildlife from badgers, hares and deer, and more recently a family of green woodpeckers. to our own chickens who will lay you fresh eggs for your breakfast.
The apartment is entered through double patio doors into the lounge, dinning and kitchenette. There is a two seater sofa, television and DVD player and a selection of dvd's, books and games available. A dining table and chairs and a fully stocked kitchenette.
In the bed room is a double bed with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables with reading lamps.
The ensuite has a large shower, toilet and sink. We supply various toiletries just in case you have forgotten anything including shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, liquid soap and shower caps.
With the New Forest only 5 minutes drive away, Bournemouth and the south coast approximately 30 minutes in one direction and the medieval market city of Salisbury in the other Damerham makes an excellent base for your perfect getaway.
You can enjoy wonderful sunrises or sunsets from your own patio.
Just turn up, relax and let your holiday begin.
WiFi is free and you can access it throughout the property.
A fantastic opportunity to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty, on the edge of the New Forest National Park.
To ensure the peaceful relaxing break our guests are looking for it is our policy that we do not accept children of any age or pets of any size.

This was property was very comfortable, very clean and had everything you need for a very enjoyable holiday. A property we would very much recommend. We were greeted by the owner on arrival which always makes you feel welcome.

Super stay

Could not fault the property for cleanliness and the thoughtfulness of small essentials like milk, tea/coffee, not forgetting new toothbrushes just in case you forgot yours. Whatever you needed for your stay, it was provided throughout. Would highly recommend this property for long/short stays.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet in this small village with lovely views from the property.

Great location for bike rides in the New Forest. Carol is a perfect host who looks after you and wants you to have a lovely break. We enjoyed feeding the hens and getting fresh eggs in return.

We had a very enjoyable five night stay at Greenbanks 2, celebrating meeting 40 years ago. Ideal apartment for couples who want to getaway from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The apartment had everything you need for a self catering stay. It is an area where you can do as much or as little as you wish.

Excellent Accomodation.

Very clean and well kept apartment. Good grounds. Use of gardens and numerous seating areas. Free range eggs for breakfast and fruit and veg that you can pick yourself. Overall an excellent weekend break.

Lovely small flat in a quiet village. Equipped with everything you would need and also a lovely garden to sit in. Owner wasn't available during our stay but we did have her contact number and she emailed us when we had arrived to ensure everything was in order.. We would certainly stay there again.

Lovely short break

Very clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely warm welcome from Carol and some nice extra touches. A real shame that the weather wasn't great so we were not able to fully enjoy the garden.

A wonderful few days

My partner and I spent a few days at Carol's beautiful home. She has created such a wonderful place to stay. We particularly loved the effort Carol has put into helping guests get out and explore the stunning local area with even small laminated cards with walking suggestions! Her knowledge and passion for this little piece of paradise is so evident. We will definitely be back for more beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. Thanks again Carol for such a lovely time! Fantastic getaway

We have just had a lovely 4 night stay at Greenbanks. The accommodation was immaculate, and carol was the perfect host, leaving all the essentials we would need, which was handy as we did forget toothpaste. The fresh eggs were delicious for breakfast. It was my partners 50th birthday and carol even left him a card.(thankyou) I think we have found the perfect little getaway and will definitely return. Thankyou Carol Jill and Wayne

A little paradise

After the warm welcome by Carol, we were immediately guided through the garden. Carol offered us to use the garden as well, which we gladly accepted. So we helped ourselves to lettuce, cucumbers and fresh eggs - simply heavenly! The apartment is very well equipped and of high quality. Outside, a terrace with an additional dining area and a relaxation bench also belongs to the apartment. We felt very comfortable.

So relaxing

This was a much needed break and it really didn't disappoint! The place was amazing and homely feeling. Carol is fantastic, showing us around and being on hand if needed. And letting us get fresh eggs and salad that they have grown. I would so highly recommend Greenbanks for a break of any kind. We will be returning next year and hoping ths sun will shine for us again

Hello My name is Carol Vincent and I am married to Barry. We have been married for over 40 years. We have 1 son James. We have been running Damerham Self Catering since 2013 with many guests returning year after year.
We enjoy nothing more than to meet with our guests at the end of the day over a cup of tea or a glass of wine and chat about the day, that's why most of our guests leave as friends... but if you prefer not to chat that's ok with us. We look forward to welcoming you to Greenbanks soon.

Why they chose this property

Greenbanks is set in what we think is a perfect village location. We used to visit friends who lived in the village and once we arrived we were under the spell that Damerham casts over you and we never wanted to leave.
There is always something to enjoy in the village. We have Snowdrop Weekend where you can admire the snowdrops everywhere, especially around the Church Yard, we have a Duck Race at Easter that runs along the banks of the River Allen through the village, then there is potato day and of course our annual village fair to name but a few.
We are lucky enough to have very low levels of light pollution so it is an ideal spot to sit out at night and watch the night sky. We often are able to see the International Space Station when it is in the right orbit flying over head. You may even be able to make a wish on a shooting star.

What makes this property unique

The accommodation has a comfortable bedroom with a double bed with all your linen included and plenty of storage space. Your en-suite has a large shower with toiletries and towels supplied. A well equipped kitchen with full size oven, hob and microwave. The dining table and chairs allows you dine looking out of the patio doors.
The lounge has a comfortable sofa and a 32" color TV.
There are patio doors that open onto your own patio.
Sitting on your patio in the morning you can enjoy your morning cuppa watching the sunrise quietly over the trees and in the evening a favourite spot for our guests is by the pond watching the ducklings having their first swimming lessons.
We have our own chickens who will lay you fresh eggs for your breakfast. Barry is a keen gardener and enjoys growing lots of veg and salads which are there for you to pick and enjoy, please help yourselves there is always more than enough to go around.
