Rosemary cottage was so charming and the pictures don’t do it justice. The layout for our large family was perfect, each bedroom having a bathroom was a treat complete with towel warmers and excellent water pressure. The place was very modern and clean. All our questions were answered promptly and the check in process was fast an easy. Our boys were even able to play tennis and it was just a short walk to a lovely pub. The location overall was so perfect for visiting nearby attractions such as Leeds Castle, Canterbury, Whitstable and Rye…. We happily refer this property and would love to return ourselves the next time we’re in Yalding. The hosts are fantastic.
The cottages are fabulous. Perfect for our 2 families with access to both from the terrace. Immaculate throughout, plenty of Crockery, cutlery etc. The Gardens are amazing with plenty of toys for us to use for our granddaughter. Owners very helpful and accommodating. Pity we couldn’t stay longer.
Amazing property booked to use as a base for my wedding.
Fantastic property with beautiful grounds. Very peaceful and Lieven was just so helpful with answering my many questions. Nothing was too much trouble. A lovely welcome gift of local cider was waiting for us on arrival too. Great experience overall and would definitely recommend. Had a wonderful weekend.
A clean and comfortable property with plenty of space for everyone. Ideal patio just off the kitchen with all day sun or trees in the garden for chilling in the shade. Thank you for a stress free break which we all enjoyed. Would love to come back. Good luck with the puppy training.

Well eqipped comfortable house with lovely gardens
We had a lovely time and enjoyed the privacy of the three en suite bathrooms. Bring slippers, the stone floors are chilly!

Home from home
We stayed in this beautiful cottage with my very elderly mum and were able comfortably and happily to host many relatives who came down to Yalding to see her with a minimum of disruption for her. This worked brilliantly because the cottage itself, our host Tony, the garden, the local town and nearby sites of interest were beautiful and welcoming. The cottage's 3 bedrooms and en suite arrangements were comfortable and private and all necessary amenities including a well equipped kitchen made a long stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended especially for family gatherings.

For a perfect stay nearby London.
Rosemary cottage was very clean, with all the equipment that you have at home (and more). We loved the fact that every bedroom had it's own bathroom and toilet. It was also very quiet at night and during the day there are many opportunities to have a wonderfull stay. The garden is really beautifull and if you want to move, there is this lovely tenniscourt.
It's also not far away from London. We took the train in Paddock Wood and it only took us 45 minutes to get there.
For our children it was also important that there was a well-functionning Wifi. It made it easy for us to look up things on the internet before leaving the cottage.
So Tony and Caroline, thanks for our lovely stay at Rosemary cottage!
Kind regards!!

About the host
Hosted by Lieven & Lydia
We’re Lydia and Lieven, a family living in the heart of the Kent countryside. We love the peacefulness of village life, outdoor walks with our children (and dog!), and welcoming people from all over to share the special place we call home. Hosting gives us the chance to meet lovely guests and help them unwind, explore nature, and make lasting memories—whether it’s a weekend getaway or a family gathering.
Why they chose this property
We chose this area for its perfect balance of countryside bliss and connection. The peaceful setting, surrounded by woodland and riverside walks, offers a true escape into nature. Yalding itself is a vibrant village with a warm community spirit, full of charm and history. At the same time, we love that London is just a short train ride away—ideal when we’re in the mood for a dose of city culture, galleries, or a good meal out. It really gives us the best of both worlds.
What makes this property unique
What makes this place special is the care and thought we've put into every detail. We live adjacent to the cottages, which means we're nearby if you ever need help or local recommendations—but your space and privacy are fully respected. The cottages are designed to feel comfortable, calm, and family-friendly, with beautiful gardens, woodland, a tennis court, and direct access to countryside walks. It’s a peaceful setting where guests can truly unwind.
