We stayed in this beautiful cottage for a week. It had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The village is beautiful with a local Post Office/convenient store and cafe, there’s also a lovely pub with excellent food. I highly recommend!

Lovely cottage, lovely place.
Hard to believe that such a pretty little place could be so near the A43. The village is like a postcard and the cottage beautiful and perfectly located for the shop, village green and pub. There are lots of nice walks from the front door so your dog will be happy too. We loved it.

We had a few days planned at Silverstone and extended our stay to cover our anniversary and a meeting in Bicester. Even caught up with friends near Banbury. Perfect location for our needs in a charming little village. The pub is an absolute find and the coffee shop (with Post Office) was brilliant. The cottage itself was absolutely idyllic too!

A beautiful cosy cottage perfectly situated in the village of Evenley, very well equipped, bathroom is small with a shower cubicle but is fine and does the job, the garden is shared and not secure so be aware of that if you have a dog. There is a pub across the green in front of the cottage which is quite handy and the Post Office/coffee shop is two doors away and does nice cakes, there is also a farm shop 10 minutes walk away which is also useful. We stayed here for a month and enjoyed every day of it - we would do it again!

Lovely cottage which had everything we needed for a short break. It was clean and tidy and we enjoyed our stay.If taking a dog just beware the rear garden is not separated from the neighbours. You couldn't ask for a nicer idyllic country village - pub, shop, post office and a local green with cricket being played. 10 out of 10

A truly amazing little cottage set in a very picturesque village overlooking "The Green". The cottage had everything we needed (and more). Kept to high standard with great communication from Kath. Perfect for our weekend visit to Silverstone race circuit (only 12 mins by car!) Would not hesitate to stay again! Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!

A gorgeous cottage in a quintessentially English Village
The village is within easy access to numerous places of interest. We went to Bletchkey Park, Broughton Castle, Stowe House, Waddesdon Manor, Stoke Broure and Woodstock Town. All within a short car ride. We also enjoyed walking through Evenley Wood Gardens and several footpaths around the village and of course srveral stops at The Red Lion. The local shop/post office was handy for a quick coffee or loaf of bread. An idealic stay. We will certainly tell our friends about this little gem when we get back to New Zealand.

This immaculate cottage is located within a quiet beautiful village .The cottage retains some historical features but has up to date appliances, shower and Wifi. The owner left us a lovely welcome hamper of groceries along with toiletries and sundries. If you're looking for somewhere to tour the area from this cottage is ideal. We read in previous reviews that you need to take care on the steep stairs but we didn't find these a problem.

I really enjoyed my stay again at this lovely cottage. It is the second September I have stayed there with my friend, and we are already thinking of returning at a different time of the year. It is in an ideal location with a lovely pub across the green, and is within walking distance of Brackley. The cottage has everything you need, plus parking outside and a garden to sit in when the weather is pleasant.

Genuine period cottage, facing traditional village green, well located for visiting the wider area.
The cosy and comfortable cottage has lots of original features, and all amenities, plus views over the lovely village green in Evenley, a beautiful, quiet, traditional and friendly village.
The excellent pub is a couple of minutes walk across the large village green (we enjoyed the attractive covered outdoor seating areas and the tuna steak!) Just a couple of doors down from the cottage is the rustic cafe/post office/shop (which does quite outstanding cakes!)
Evenley is only a few minutes drive from Brackley for more amenities, and the A43 etc for easy access to the wider locality; we visited the Cotswolds and several National Trust properties during our stay.
The cottage was excellent value and quality, and we thoroughly recommend it.

Wow, what a find. Great cottage in a lovely location. A quintessentially English village with cricket on the green (advised to move your car during matches in case a ball does damage. We witnessed a few properties get hit so worth doing). Kath was lovely and very quick to respond from booking through to check in procedures. cottage was really clean and all the little touches like bread, milk, jam, butter, tea, coffee, sugar and toiletries were a welcome surprise. Nice quality towels and bedding. The stairs are steep (but it does say in listing) but they are also quite slippery so need to wear slippers or go bare feet otherwise you may slip. Bathroom is small, shower cubicle tight but appreciate it is an old building (being a larger size lady, I struggled with the shower and turning around in the bathroom but did manage). Not a fan of carpet in the bathroom as even with the mat on the floor it still got wet. Good broadband speeds (36mbs download) and good tv reception with plenty of channels. Good to have the shop 2 doors down for all your essentials and a short walk to Owls barn farm shop which was good value and does delicious ice creams and sorbets. Brackley not far away which has Sainsbury's and Tesco's so good choice of shops. If you don't fancy cooking there was a wood fired pizza van which came round on the Saturday (pre ordering advisable) and the fish and chip van on a Friday (you know he's arriving as it sounds like a demented ice cream van with the sound he makes). Food was good value and tasty. Didn't try the pub although it looked good, it was just expensive.
All in all, a great stay, lovely location, close to Silverstone, Bletchley Park etc. If Kath would have us back, we would love to visit again sometime.
