The place was clean, contained everything you need and it was beautiful. We had a friendly welcome and were also provided with a welcome basket. The hot tub was really nice to relax in. Perfect location for everything in the area. We also had a lovley checkout x
We had a relaxing vacation. The cottage looks very nice and has a good fitting interior. It is very rural and the nice landlady lives right next door and can help with words and deeds. The small garden with its Hot Tub behind the house invites you to relax.
Thanks Nicky, we had a really nice time in La Perruche.

Quiet and calm retreat
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Perruche. The gîte was extremely clean and modern, comfortable and very well equipped. Nicky was a gracious host and available if we had any questions. The location was great with easy drives to Mont-Saint-Michel, Fougères, Saint-Malo, and other smaller villages in the area. We especially enjoyed coming “home” each day to the quiet of the countryside. We recommend La Perruche without hesitation!

Very rural and very cosy
If you're looking for a rural retreat in Normandy, this gite has a lot to offer. Quiet, cosy and well-equipped with any number of interesting small French towns/villages close-by and with the major centres of Mont St. Michel, Domfront, Fougeres and Alencon all within easy reach. All together a very enjoyable week and a great location.

Felt so welcomed!
Nicky is a great wonderful host and she had all kinds of little touches (like little sweets) that made us feel special. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after we finished touring Mont St Michel.

Great quiet spot for getting away from it all
We loved our stay the La Perruche! The gite was very clean and modern with really nice bathrooms and bedrooms. The kitchen was well appointed for making all meals there. Wifi and TV work well. It is an easy drive to a variety of sites in the region (Mont Saint-Michel, Normandy Beaches, Feugeres fortress, and more). The surroundings are very quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend it if you are looking for a quiet place to stay while vacationing in France.

Tranquil village lovely gite
The owner Nicky welcomed us and showed us the gite it is in a small quiet village which was ideal for us after a few days in Disneyland Paris, We were sorry we could only stay for two nights , we would have loved to have stayed longer. Our grandson loved watching the cows from the window in the fields nearby. The gite is beautiful and has everything you need. The beds are really comfortable, you can lie in bed a listen to the crickets outside and watch the stars through the windows in the roof. Thank you Nicky for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. We hope to return again one day

Beautiful and Relaxing Country Home
This is an amazing place. The natural beauty is overwhelming and Nicky has created a home that is absolutely perfect. It teems with charm. A private garden, with a hot tub and patio area, puts guests right into the French countryside. There is plenty of room inside, too, and the home is beautifully appointed. We slept a family of five very comfortably and without any trouble. The photos on HomeAway are accurate (if anything, they do not sufficiently capture the charm and beauty of the gite), as are all of the descriptions in the posting. The kitchen is nice and modern without any compromise to the gite's old-world beauty.
It's just under an hour to Mont St. Michel and slightly less than two hours to the World War II sites in Normandy. The gite was a perfect home base for exploring northeast France, providing an incredibly relaxing retreat from all of our travels.
Nicky is an amazing host. She communicated with us at all stages of the booking and is a warm and wonderful person.
Perhaps the most telling review came from my 13 year-old son, who traveled through London and Paris unimpressed at many of the historical sites we saw during our two-week holiday. He wanted to know why we couldn't have just spent our entire trip at this gite because he liked it so much.
In sum, this gite has our unqualified recommendation. It's close to many great attractions and you would be challenged to find a better place to stay. And Nicky really has created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is a natural extension of her personality.

Lovely home in a perfect Normandy village
We had a lovely stay at La Perruche Gite. The house is in perfect condition and exceptionally clean and comfortable. The little garden is great to enjoy a quiet evening, and we loved walking around the village. It was not too far to drive to Mont St Michel. We would definitely stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Nicky
Born and lived in East Sussex, England, until 2014 when I moved to France permanently to fully renovate my house and Gite. The Gite took 9 months to complete and the hard work has finally finished, offering a warm and comfortable stay for everyone, from romantic weekends away for couples to family fun holidays. I am always on hand to accommodate and assist guests and I feel privileged to have had the pleasure and joy in meeting guests from all over the world who have stayed in the Gite.
Why they chose this property
Heusse is a quiet, tranquil village with views of the rolling countryside, yet just 4 kilometres from everything you need, such as groceries, fuel, pharmacy, bank, bar, vets and doctor's surgery. La Perruche Holiday Gite is set in beautiful countryside with far reaching views, offering relaxation and peace. There are local activities to enjoy and the community is very friendly, with British residents as well as the French residents.
What makes this property unique
La Perruche Holiday Gite is a quaint Gite with original beams and a wood burner for the cooler evenings, and beautiful country views. Its perfect for relaxing outside, reading a book and listening to the birds and the odd tractor. The hot tub is perfect for total relaxation and de-stressing.
