Burnside Cottage is one of two cottages in The Mill of Camserney available for holiday retreats. Camserney Mill Cottages, a small holding with rare breed Soay sheep comprises The Mill House - detached granite cottage with two double bedrooms and private garden (see full details under listing # 10323628) and Burnside Cottage. Burnside is also a traditional granite cottage, Semi-detached, set in c 6 acres of rural Scotland with its own Burn running alongside. The cottage is attached to the owners home - The Steading. It has all the benefits of being in a countryside setting with exceptional views of the highlands whilst being just 3 miles from the amenities of Aberfeldy. Aberfeldy is a lovely town set around a market square. It boasts several restaurants and bars and coffee shops and its own 'Birks' cinema. A short distance away is the famous Dewar's whisky distillery which offers tours and tastings. Venture 17 miles and you will come to Pitlochry, famous for the salmon fish ladder, theatre and Blair Athol whisky distillery . C 27 miles and you can enjoy extensive retail therapy at The House of Bruar which also offers restaurant facilities. There is a designated trail to visit the Bruar falls too.

We are keen salmon fishers who have visited the area for about 30 years and decided to switch our priorities and live in the place we love to visit and visit our former life in the Cotswolds. We are still exploring our local area but have been impressed with all the facilities that are on offer.

This is the perfect location for a highland retreat, but has the advantage of being only 3 miles from civilisation! When you wake up in the morning to the sound of the Burn, the peace and tranquillity is perceptible. The cottage is set in 6 acres of land providing that feeling of a rural escape!
What makes this property unique
Peace and tranquillity - just 3 miles from Aberfeldy offering shops , restaurants and eateries, cinema and sporting and leisure facilities. Easy traveling distance to several famous fishing beats on the Tay and Tummel. Stalking on Rannoch moor. Skiing and Snowboarding at Glenshee. Perth c34 miles away, Pitlochry c 17 miles away. Several whisky distilleries offering tours and tastings including Dewar's, Blair Athol and Edradour The property is situated within a c 6 acre smallholding with rare Hebridean Soay sheep who lambed at the end April and first weeks of May so we now have 10 lambs, 3 rams and 10 ewes and 13 free ranging hens
