Just to clarify for future guests, you can absolutely use the washing machine and air conditioning together! To prevent a brief blackout, I simply recommend using a maximum of 2/3 high-consuming devices at the same time. I want to emphasize that this limit is not a restriction of the apartment itself, but a standard feature of residential electrical systems across Italy, which typically provide up to 3 kW – max 3 high-consuming devices at the same time. You are completely free to use as many devices as you prefer—I just share this friendly tip as a precaution to keep your stay as smooth and comfortable as possible! From the time of the booking through checking in and out, Antonio was responsive and helpful. The apartment was perfect for our needs and the AC a blessing on the hot days. It was convenient to the train (5 minute walk) and into the center (15 minute). We will absolutely return to stay at this apartment. Thank you for a wonderful visit

Location was great proximity to the train station which made for easy arrival and departure. It was a 20-25 minute walk to the tourist/piazza areas where we shopped, dined & explored. A very easy trek though! Friendly and welcoming host! Would stay here again!

Relaxing home away from home.

Very spacious for the three if us, easy walk from the train station and to the historic center. Friendly check-in process, nice kitchen, and small but usable laundry facilities. Perfect for us.

Wonderful stay- great location

Great location minutes from train station. Great base camp for trips to Florence Venice etc. Apartment is roomy with 2 full baths. Antonio and his parents are great hosts.

Antonio was very welcoming and super accommodating about our late arrival. He recommended lots of places in and around Bologna for us to visit. The apartment was well equipped and we appreciated the fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Everything was clean and there was plenty of storage space. The walk into the city was short and we felt safe in the area.

My wife and I stayed at The Gateway for one week in February. Antonio had the apartment ready early and greeted us when we arrived. He showed us around the apartment, provided maps and guides for the area, and provided lots of great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The apartment was perfect for us; everything was very clean and had all of the amenities we needed for our stay. The train station is a five minute walk, and the walk to the city center allowed us to experience the local atmosphere along the way. I can't recommend The Gateway enough, and we hope to return soon!

Good location near to the station. An immaculately clean tidy and well equipped flat. Our host greeted uswhen we arrived and was very helpful. He was even able to be flexible about our arrival time. He provided us with useful information and maps and there were guide books for us to use. All together a very successful and comfortable stay.

Felt like home

We received a warm welcome on arrival and loved the apartment. Great to come back to a large relaxing apartment after a day of walking around Bologna. Very close to the main train station and an easy walk into the centre of Bologna.

Great Apartment

Apartment was clean and comfy. The washer and dryer were a huge plus. We had three people stay here and had plenty of room. It is a 15-20 min walk to the center of Bologna but 5-10 mins from the main train and bus stations. Very convenient!
