Quick Uber 1 mile to French Quarter.
Start your mornings just one block away at the legendary CC's Coffee House featuring the best coffee and king cakes of New Orleans. Or walk to City Park for it's new Cafe Du Monde location for its famous beignets.
This newly remodeled home was built in the late 1800s as a classic "Shotgun" and later updated to provide three private bedrooms and two full baths. The original heart pine flooring has been beautifully restored throughout. Historic architectural attributes remain such as 12 ft high soaring ceilings, ornate millwork, stained glass, antique transom windows, aged hearths, and original solid oak 5 panel doors. Homes are no longer built with this level of artisanship.
New gourmet chef's kitchen is a dream featuring all Viking 5 series professional appliances including 36" gas range and hood, huge 42" side by side refrigerator, drawer microwave, and dishwasher. Beautiful dining room includes Grange solid walnut furnishings from France.
The primary bedroom suite has a queen sleigh bed and attached full bath. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms both have queen beds. Guests compliment the quality and comfort of the beds for a good night's sleep. 2nd full bath is off the central hallway. Both bathrooms recently beautifully renovated.
There are 3 wall mounted TVs with Cox cable TV service. Fast and reliable WIFI for streaming and Zoom. There is a comfortable work station armoire in the dining room if you need a desk and good lighting to catch up on work with your laptop.
This faubourg (neighborhood) was the first French settlement in New Orleans. Nearby Cafe Degas is arguably the best French restaurant in New Orleans. On the banks of Bayou St. John, this neighborhood is known for its architecture, live music, lush parks, gorgeous waterways and fabulous cuisine.

This was a great location. We loved the house. Air and heat worked as it should. The hosts had listed restaurants, and grocery stores. It is close to a casino, race track. Close to French Quarter. We were able to walk and tour a cemetery. We wished the back yard would have had a clean table and chairs. My sisters and I really enjoyed our stay.
The home was exactly as described, and incredibly clean. Our host, Andrew, reached out to me early on, and responded quickly whenever I had a question about the home, the neighborhood, or goings-on about town. He really reinforced a feeling of security in my decision to reserve his home.Neighborhood was very pleasant, and lovely to walk around. Many eateries and stores were within walking distance, as well. Our group consisted of five adults. As comfortable as we were staying here, I don't think this home would be suitable for a family with young (under the age of 12) children. We ended our stay feeling that it simply was not long enough. If we do make it back, Andrew's home would definitely be one of the first places we would look to book.
This beautifully restored property had everything we needed. The quiet neighborhood charmed us and we were able to explore the city easily. We all enjoyed our visit.
Like a home away from home. The home was beautiful and the updated kitchen amazing. It was a very comfortable neighborhood, great location, and never an issue with parking. The hosts are lovely. Can't say enough good things and we would definitely stay there again.
This home had everything we needed: A fully functional kitchen where we could actually cook, laundry room, a shower with a bench and nice living room & dining spaces. It was also exceptionally clean.Andrew and Lori were extremely helpful and accommodating.
I genuinely enjoyed everything about my stay at this property. From the time we pulled up into the neighborhood, I felt at home. The property was amazing and spacious, very clean and the hosts were very accommodating. 3 of us stayed and each of us had space for ourselves. The kitchen was great- we were able to cook breakfast and enjoy it comfortably that morning before preparing for the festival. Everything about my experience was peaceful. I would absolutely stay here again!

Hi Matt, thank you for the great review. It was a pleasure to host your family and glad you had a wonderful time in New Orleans. Please come back soon! Andrew and Lori
Property is outstanding. Clean, comfortable. Kitchen was large enough that multiple people could work on meal prep at once. High end appliances and the dishes, glassware and utensils are all in excellent conditions. Convenient to have a qasher and dryer on site. The shotgun style of the house is a great experience. Plenty of room so everyone could have space. The neighborhood is great with restaurants in walking distance. City Park was a great walk and has many things to do. The French Quarter is a short drive but consider Lyft or Uber as parking is not plentiful and the parking time limits are not great to deal with. I would recommend this home to anyone for a great stay
Beautiful property with wonderful hosts. Property was in a central location to all places we were visiting. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again

Great house, great location, great host. Couldnât have been happier with this place. Host was very responsive and informative both before and during our stay. Only downside was the back yard wasnât conducive to kids playing; just rocky.

Hi Kathleen we sure appreciate the 5 star review! Our neighbors were replacing a fence in backyard after last storm. Fence installation complete now. So glad your family enjoyed Greek Fest and could not have been happier renting with us!
With gratitude, Lori and Andrew
We have stayed here before and keep coming back! Such a charming home and so well maintained. One of the best rentals we have ever enjoyed throughout the country. The welcoming, eclectic neighborhood has a wonderful vibe. Walking distance to fabulous restaurants and coffee shops. We leave the car at the house (great parking!) and Uber around New Orleans. Only 5-10 minutes to the French Quarter. Can't say enough about this home! Thank you!
