As a matter of fact, the Eyzies village, very near, was baptised as the world capital of prehistory.
On the Dordogne side, there are many fortified villages located in the hillsides that are worth the visit, including Limeuil, La Roque Gageac, Beynac, Domme, Castlelnaud, to give the most famous ones. The Dordogne Valley is also advised to lovers of swimming, canoeing and of gabarres (large typical boats). But also to those who would like to discover in hot-air balloon.
