North Short Bliss Review

The property I rented was exactly as the one described in the listing. Check-in and Checkout procedures were early followed. Our only issue was the inconsistent and limited Wi-Fi. They Wi-Fi wouldn't allow all of my family to connect and was only accessible near the garage where the router was located.

Summer escape

My family and I enjoyed this home very much. It's a beautiful house! It had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. The WiFi was not the best but we found that to be true everywhere we went in Tahoe. We would definitely rent it again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Good house, some quirks and bad wifi

House is great - just like in the photos. Hot tub, kitchen, BBQ, and really nice patio. Biggest issue is very bad wifi - less than 4mbps speed does not work with Zoom, etc. and there is no reception either (at least with Verizon). Some other small quirks (no beach towels), washing machine has odd soap sheets, old TVs which could be easily modernized. Overall would be very pleasant if the wifi is upgraded

Very nice house. High ceilings in great room gave to some nice views Well appointed kitchen. Comfortable beds and sofa. Grill was connected to natural gas, so no worry of running out of propane. The hot tub wasn't working when we arrived. Once we let the management company know, they had someone there within a couple hours (nice young man). He worked on it and stayed to make sure it heated up and ran properly. We enjoyed our stay here very much!

nice house, missing supplies

The house was nice but it didn't have enough supplies. Only 4 towels, 1 hand towel, 2 small wash clothes in the kitchen, no hot pads in the kitchen, did not have a complete set of measuring cups and tesp/tbls set. No laundry soap, dish soap was almost gone. It was missing floor mats at the entrance to the house, from the hot tub, and garage. A tractor plow was parked directly across from the house, and it was very challenging to get in and out, especially in the snow.

Family time by the fireplace.

We had an awesome time at the house over the weekend. Inside the house can use a little minor repairs. The driveway is extremely hard to get in when icy or snowing conditions for a larger vehicle like my full size Dodge Ram. Garbage outside was full from last visitors. Couldn’t leave anything there. Had to take it home.!!! No laundry detergent. The floors through the house especially upstairs looked dusty with debris. Couple of cabinet hinges falling off that needs minor adjustment. No instructions how to operate entertainment system in the living room. The open living room with kitchen was awesome for our meals and entertainment. Also enjoyed sitting in jacuzzi. Really couldn’t experience the out side deck due to large amount on snow every, but it was pretty magical.

An OK House With Serene Views

Our first trip to Lake Tahoe was so nice. This house served its purpose - we slept and spent mornings and evenings here. The hot tub was so nice to relax in. The neighborhood was beautiful and serene. It was a pretty house with the expected charm in the location it’s in. It was nice to be tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy beach. However, there were a few disappointments. The beach that is a half mile away is a very far half mile away as it is all up hill with twisty roads. Also note, that this beach is off of a private dock so be prepared to be told that you are not allowed at that spot. Secondly, the outdoor tables and chairs should be updated. The wood is splintering and the table is so wobbly our morning coffees would spill out of their cups. Lastly, which is my fault for not looking closer at the pictures, there are two flights of stairs (one up to the loft and one down to the garage with two other bedrooms). Which was difficult with 3 small children and a father in law who had knee surgery a while back. We were able to make due as the master bedroom is on the main floor - second floor (the other two bedrooms are on the garage level floor - first floor) and we were able to use the couch to block the stairs from the kids (the house should provide a safety gate). I also want to state that when we arrived, the house cleaning felt unfinished. Towels had to be retrieved from the dryer. Silverware had old food left on them. A prior guests swimsuit was left on the back of bathroom door. The house overall felt dusty. With kids who love playing hide and seek - hiding under the beds felt like the cleaners just swept everything under the beds. For the hefty cleaning fee they charge, one would expect it to be clean. Overall, this house served it’s purpose. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

Positive & Negative experiences

Overall, it was a great cabin! The location was great and access was easy. There was only a couple of things we can think could improve - 1. the TV in the master bedroom never worked, I followed the instruction word per word. 2. Softer mattress - this is a personal preference. 3. Most importantly, my wife was taking a bath with the jets and we started a fire in the fire place. Sooth started to show up floating in the bath water. Can't explain this one!

Fantastic Home

We stayed over Thanksgiving week 2022 and could not of been happier with this property. There were 6 of us but the house could of easily held 8. Everything we needed (including laundry soap) was there. We did need to reach out to the property management company a few times and they were very responsive. The jacuzzi was great and so was the BBQ, heated floors in the bathrooms was a huge plus along with the fireplace and having a stack of wood there for us very nice. We would definitely rent this home again.

The house was really gorgeous and in a great location. We also appreciate the 11:00am checkout. However the downstairs shower didn't seem to work and the house was missing a wine opener (we bought one a left it there). We also could have used more towels. The wifi also was very weak. Otherwise, a great stay.Thanks!

Tahoe Paradise

Wow, seriously, rent this place, you won't be disappointed. Perfect location on the north west shore central to a lot of activities on that side of the lake. Great neighborhood with well kept houses and grounds. Very safe and clean feeling. The property management company was great to work with and very responsive and helpful with any questions. The house itself was fantastic, all you could ask for. The floor plan is great for a family with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor, master bedroom/bath and living areas on the second, and a small loft with two single beds. Really great use of space and organization and solid newer construction. Neither the house or the neighborhood are party type places so if you are looking for that you might want to look elsewhere, but for a family get away it couldn't be beat. There is even a peak-a-boo view of the lake through the trees, the spa is excellent and we saw a coyote one night and a black bear another, both just passing through while we were in the hot tub....better than any "nature tv." The master bath also has a spa tub and a steam shower. The fireplace cranks the heat, though there is no AC, so in the summertime so be aware of that, though there are ample ceiling fans. Overall a place we would definitely return to in the future. We can highly recommend it for your trip to Tahoe.

Beautiful house, great location (20-30min from palisades/alpine), hot tub was perfect! Hosts were very prompt and thorough with communication though be warned the house only stocks one towel per guest and doesn’t have instructions for hooking up to the house speakers. Would stay again!

Nice house, good location

Comfortable house in good shape. A few smalll items needs to be addressed. Need more towels for bath and kitchen. Dryer takes a long time to dry, especially with towels. Kitchen sink disposal needs to be checked..very loud with loose internal blades. The outdoor table umbrella is in bad shape. Be prepared to bring all spieces etc to cook! I would still consider renting this house again.

Great house

Great house, located in a beautiful wooded area, with a short walk to the beach. Comfortable bedrooms and deck with nice barbecue. Nice hot tub. We enjoyed our stay, however Internet service is really bad, not possible to work from the home as it is very unreliable. All TV's are old, no option for smart TV, which would be highly appreciated.

Amazing winter getaway

The house is clean and well laid out, the neighborhood is awesome and the manager was responsive. This house was the perfect home away from home for a weeklong winter getaway for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). Our family would definitely stay here again.

North Shore Bliss

We enjoyed our stay and thought the house was great. Would stay here again. Two minor suggestions: a) Upgrade the entertainment system (smart TV) to allow for renter's to access their own streaming services. I've seen this now at most rentals and it's a great option to have. B) Provide a few more comfortable outdoor seating chairs. Table/chairs were great for dining/eating, but not the best to just sit around and relax. Thanks again for a great home. - Chris

Thank you for the great suggestions. We will be sure to pass that along to the owner. Outdoor furniture can be tricky to pick since each group tends to have different preferences in terms of use. Dining out on the patio is always a Tahoe crowd favorite, so the owners chose to go that direction this year. We are glad you enjoyed the property!

Great family stay!

My family just spent 4 nights at North Shore Bliss. It was perfect! The house has two wonderful decks to chose from depending on time of day where we spent a lot of time. The jacuzzi was already hot and very clean and nice to use. The beds are very comfortable, the fireplace is impressive and there is plenty of seating with the open floor plan. The kitchen was great to use and well-equiped so we happily made a number of meals in. The house is in a great location-walk to the forest or the beach or just a quick drive to town. We would love to stay here again! Beautiful home in a beautiful place.
