Walk up to this second-level ultra-modern studio unit and you will be impressed by the design, which focuses on relaxing colors and circle-shaped features. In this rental you will have a kitchenette where you can grab a quick snack, as well as a sitting area where you can watch some TV or use the complimentary WiFi access. This home even has air-conditioning to keep everyone cool, plus a shared laundry area that will be useful if your clothes get a little dirty while exploring the area.

When it's time to head to bed, snuggle into the circle-shaped king bed and enjoy sweet dreams of tomorrow's adventures. Amazing architecture

this is such a fun property, that felt like a mix between a cob home and something out of fantasy novel. It’s beautiful and with the bikes, kayak’s and pool, it’s a great place stay and I would do it again in heart beat.

6 nights in Maya Beach

We enjoyed most aspects of our stay. The building architecture was very cool - not a flat wall or right angle to be found - everything is curved! Miriam was helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns - we had a noisy neighbor which she addressed. We didn’t have a vehicle because we prefer to use public transportation or be self-propelled and, though there were old bikes to help us get around, we found the location a bit too remote. The remoteness is matter of preference and not my reason for only scoring the property a 4/5, which is due to the bed. The mattress was worn out or too soft and, as a result, I woke up with a sore back every morning.

The unit was unique and with a lovely pool on the lagoon side of the Maya Beach area. Access to the beach area on the sea side was limited and much of it was filled with litter. Maintenance of the suite needs an upgrade as it is a bit tired. One issue to be aware of is when booking is that you will be charged a 15% vrbo fee above what the invoice from Travelocity cost is. Dealing with vrbo is a nightmare.

The setting was amazing! Very cool buildings located just six miles from town with a great view of the lagoon, frre use of kayaks and free parking. So what's not to like? A couple of things. The ceiling fan didn't work properly. It had only one slow speed which didn't circulate enough air. We didn't want to use the A/C at night because it's noisy. Second, the bikes are in terrible shape. Rusted and lacking good brakes probably because they are left out. Finally, the hot tub wasn't hot at all and was barely lukewarm. While it's a nice touch, people expect the water to be reasonably hot. That's why it's not called a lukewarm tub. Despite these criticisms, I'd stay here again. You should too, especially if you want lodging out of the ordinary.

A Different Space and Place

The design of the studio is quite unique and it took some time to adjust and appreciate the architectural uniqueness of the design. It makes one feel as if they may be in a submarine under the ocean and has a beautiful view of the lagoon. The shower was a great size, with plenty of hot water, but the window was also in need of repair. The picture in the advertisement of the view is actual. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Miriam, the hostess, was very attentive. The poolside was lovely. It’s a wading pool more than a swimming pool. Now to the “downside.” The windows were in need of repair. The glass was loose from the seal, allowing the entrance of bugs and geckos. There is only one sink to be used for handwashing, dishwashing, tooth brushing, and food preparation. The neighborhood is NOT walkable. The nearest restaurant was about a 15 minute walk and there were no grocery stores or restaurants closer. Transportation is required. Be aware of taxi services. Our driver charged exorbitantly high fees but lied when questioned about it by his boss. Be sure to ask for the fee before any service and make sure he gives you a specific number. Bikes were advertised but we weren’t made aware of their availability. I loved having access to free washer and dryer. Because of this, no extra towels are provided outside of the ones initially provided. Overall, it was a unique experience but certainly needs some repair, which is probably why the current owners have it “up for sale”

Lovely place to stay!

It’s a great setting, beautiful building. The pool is lovely and faces the sunsets over the lagoon. Miriam the property manager was lovely. Note that you are not in town in placencia, so if you want to be in the action, you should have a car or be prepared to take a bunch of taxis or local busses that run every few hours. The property is on the lagoon side, so fun for kayaking but no beach access, but the property offers passes to the place via beach club. There are bikes, so getting around in chill Maya Beach or to the grocery’s stores is easy/possible. We enjoyed our stay!

FANTASTIC STAFF and Unique Stay

The room was unique and the salt water pool was so wonderful. The communication with staff was top notch from the beginning to the end. Amazing and so accommodating 5+++. The room was hot and A/C loud, but I am sure if I mentioned it to the staff they would have tried to correct it as they were professional and really cared that the stay was comfortable. Our support person Melanie was super friendly and greeted us on our arrival...she as honestly amazing and gave us pointers regarding the area. Pamela, Sheldon and Kaprie were so supportive via email as I tried to sort out my stay. I really felt the team was spot on. Thank you all so much for being so flexible. The location is not near the village so be mindful of that, 20$ US taxi ride one way, but I would go back and recommend it to others without hesitation due to all of its positive points : )

Nice place

We just returned from a 6 day stay in February 2022. The house is in a good location. The pictures do a nice job of representing what you will find. The bed is good and things are clean. We enjoyed having wifi and satellite TV. The view from the deck is beautiful! We are happy we stayed here and would do so again.

More than expected

I was looking for a cheap place to stay for one week.. I found Swan Vilias on the internet for then all the other places I was looking at. I looked at the pictures and figured it was a come on. To my surprise this place was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was quite, secure, had a wonderful swimming pool and a magnificent view. The room was very nice with a indoor hot tub and spacious deck with a wonderful view of the Bay and mountains to the west. I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome Place!

I had a memorable vacation in Placencia, the magic of Swan Villas made me feel I was in another planet...the apartment was very comfortable, the pool is great at day and night time, I used the kayaks and had a great time in the lagoon...sunsets views are incredibles... can t wait to go back <3

Wonderful!

Although it rained or was overcast most of our trip, we really enjoyed staying at the Swan Villas. Montse was very friendly and helpful regarding information and tips. The architecture and colors of the Villas were so cool; the pool is beautiful. It is a 5.5 mile drive to the town but there are several really good restaurants within walking distance. We chose to rent a car so we could travel to some of the sights on our own; best decision we made because renting a golf cart for almost the same price would've been pointless bc of the rain. Not sure driving a golf cart almost 6 miles to the town would've been our idea of fun anyway. I would definitely stay at the Villas again.

We loved it

It was a piece of heaven to stay in Swan Villas, especially in the Lionfish apartment. Instead of the planned 5 nights in Lionfish we stood 4 more nights in the Turtle appartment. The location is a must see. Everything is individual and very well constructed. Besides it is very clean and perfect equipped with everything you expect. The view is gorgeous and we appreciated every moment in this place. Also, the communication with Montse was always easy, quick and accommodating. If we ever come back to Belize, this will be our first place to stay.

Beautiful

This rental property was so unique. From the moment you turn the corner in the walkway and see it, it is like another place in time. Owners were extremely accommodating and a pleasure to meet. It was exactly as advertised, beautiful. Ample room for two people. Every inch was utilized to it's utmost use, and fitting with the architecture. Comfy round bed, extra large shower, jacuzzi in room, all perfect. The salt water infinity pool with seats and jets was superb, I spent a lot of time here and for the most had it to myself. My own private Oasis! I would certainly recommend this rental property to anyone.

Fabulous location

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Swan Villas. The property is wonderful, clean, well maintained and located in a great location. It is about 6 miles from the town of Placencia which makes it quiet and away from the business of town. There are restaurants close enough to walk as well as a store. The unique architecture of the building made for a unique experience. Very serene and relaxing. The pool was fabulous especially after a long day of sightseeing. Because it is just for the property we were often the only ones in it and at most there were four of us enjoying the sunset from the pool. Montse and Rudy were very helpful and provided us with activity ideas as well as restaurant recommendations that were fabulous. If learning something new is of interest I recommend the Bunches of Bananas farm tour. Though a bit of a drive to Belmopan area, the ATM cave is a must see. Stopping along the way at St Herman's cave and the Blue Hole were highlights as well as Kropf's bakery.

Unique proerty, very nice place to stay in Plancencia Peninsula

Already wrote a glowing review but, can't find it in my reviews so I will repost it now. My wife and I stayed here for three nights during our vacation in Belize. The property is very diffrent as far as the architecture and is was fun to stay at such a unique property. Everything was as described on the website. Montse, the property manager, was very helpful, she stayed late to great us when we arrived and show us around the property. She also gave us a map of the peninsula and highlighted places we might enjoy and gave us suggestions of things we wouldn't want to miss in the area. (Thanks for the suggestions, everything you suggested that we tried was perfect!) The pool is beautiful and we were glad to see the property has laundry facilities. Kayaks and paddleboards were available for use as were bicycles. We were very confortable here during our stay.

A beautiful and quiet place to stay. Clean and comfortable. You can tell the owners care about it. We had a rental car so made it easy to get around since we were about 15 minutes from town. There are a few restaurants and small store within walking distance though. I would recommend this place and like to stay again.

Fantastic!

The perfect getaway for my husband and me to relax and unwind. The landscape and architecture were absolutely stunning, it was a one-of-a-kind experience. We had the pool to ourselves one day which was fantastic. One morning we awoke to an amazing rainbow over the lagoon, the next morning we awoke to an extraordinary migration of dragonflies. Montse and Rudy were friendly and always available if you one has questions. There are a few restaurants a mile down the road and the main village is about 6 miles. Bikes were available for free and a golf cart for a nominal feel which made it easy for us not having a car rental. We are already talking about a return visit!
