Very close to USMC Marine Corps base for early rises! Quaint and picturesque environment of era gone by with beautiful surroundings, antiques and decor. Kitchen nicely furnished. Moderate but easy walk to downtown restaurants. Extra parking at graveyard if needed.
We just stayed a few days for 4th of July. We enjoyed the convenience of it being so close to Bay Street. We walked there daily. The house is old of course but well decorated and well kept. Plenty of room and we enjoyed the upstairs porch.
It was our first trip to Beaufort and wanted to stay where it was convenient, couldn’t have asked for a better place. We had all that we needed in the house and loved the fact we could just park the car and walk to shops, dinner, the park, and many trips to kilwins.
This was a delightful place that was comfortable to be in. Lots of natural light with interesting artwork on the walls and very well appointed. it is close to downtown, so walkable to shops and restaurants. This is one of the best rentals I have been in!
Loved this house. Old classy and amazing. Perfect location it was such a great long weekend. Would rent again in a second. Owner is amazing and communicative!
Very convenient and short walk to historic downtown. Off-street parking and fenced backyard were a bonus. Home was charming, clean and comfortable. Check in was easy. Very close to St Helena’s church. Enjoyed hearing the church bells and visiting the site.
As stated above, everything about this listing was spot on. Perfect walking distance to Bay Street and the beautiful waterfront. The house...charming, delightful, comfortable and Thomas is very welcoming. Thank you for welcoming us into your home.
We really enjoyed our stay! The location was wonderful--easy walking distance to downtown. The house was fun and quirky and very cozy and clean, with plenty of space for a group. The property manger was easy to get in touch with and very nice. Would recommend!
An older house with lots of character. Close to everything including walking to downtown Beaufort with plenty of shops, restaurants & bars. My family and I had a great time staying. Thank You
If anyone knows anything about Beaufort the waterfront park is definitely one of the more iconic spots. My family and I had the pleasure to stay within walking distance of the beautifully historic district for my younger sister’s wedding. Tom was a phenomenal host as he was very attentive to any need that our family faced to include the password to the WiFi. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This home is very comfortable and perfect for the old house lover. It's not a large house, but a cozy one. The home owner has included nice little touches to make one feel welcome. Yes, the floors are a little wonky, but for an old house lover, who cares!?! And, it's convenient to everything!
We met friends and family for visit to Beaufort. If you enjoy old houses, this is for you - low ceilings, small rooms, and unlevel floors, none of which bothered us. It was perfectly located for us and we spent a lot of time in town. We entertained family to a cookout lunch and had plenty of room. The bathrooms were adequate and kitchen had everything we needed. I would suggest replacing the bed in the downstairs bedroom. Yes, I would look to rent this again. I enjoyed the quirks of this century old home.

Thank you for the kind remarks. We are replacing the mattress in the downstairs bedroom.
We loved having a place to have family all together while visiting our enlisted son-in-law, daughter, and grandson. The backyard has such a wonderful southern feel, and our dogs loved it also. Overall cleanliness was excellent - but deeper areas such as floor vent filters and fan blades needed attention. First time at a VRBO, remembering all the checkout details was challenging. I think we forgot to adjust thermostats. I will definitely investigate VRBOs for future needs. Loved the family oriented feel.

This was our 4th rental over the last couple of years. We rated it as 4th place out 4. The mattresses (especially downstairs) were terrible. It slumped to middle and was uncomfortable. The house appeared to be a repair in progress and appeared to be one high wind from falling over. The outside needed to be more welcoming (rack leaves and better landscaping). On the plus side historical area and convenience to area. If I visit the area again I would look for different home.

I am very sorry to hear these complaints, especially after receiving so many positive reviews in the past. I will address the mattress situation.
very quickly.
The kitchen has been completely remodeled as has the downstairs bath. The house was built in the late 1800's and has some qualities of that era such as old wood floors.
