One master bedroom, Another bedroom for the adult guests , 2 1/2 baths additional bath down stairs if needed. sleeps 8-10 people ( depends on how well you like who your vacationing with) open living room area. 2 full size beds, 2 queen size beds, 1 single size bed and two comfortable couches. Full kitchen with all pot & pans and silverware. Dining area inside home and two tables out on 240 square foot deck outside ,40" flat screen HD cable TV with Internet and Wi-Fi . Large fishing pier with boat ramp, bay and bayou back up to this property, great for jet skis small boats and excellent for Kayak fishing A paddle boat & Kayak can be rented for fifty dollars extra. Fish out the back door. Galveston's Moody Gardens , Schlitterbahn and the Galveston Strand district only 15 minuets away. NASA is 15 miles away along with Tangiers outlet mall, Bay fishing 1/2 mile away with access to the Gulf of Mexico. This Bayou house is great for couples that like the quite and beautiful sunsets. The home is on the water and miles from traffic yet you can be at Kemah Boardwalk or Galveston beaches in 15-20 minutes. The Bistro Cafe down the street offer some of the best seafood and Italian food in the area . If you want a cold beer The Palms offers the coldest beer in Texas only 3 blocks away. Here's the good news if your looking for a place to relax, have your favorite drink, Bar-B- Que (2 pits on premises) and just watch the sunset, this is a great place to be. This coastal cabin backs up to miles of saltwater grass with some fishing right off the deck however the fishing is not the best due to fresh water flowing downstream. Bring your own Kayak or small boat and you can enjoy some laid back R&R I want to let boating folks know that even though we are on the water the bayou is land locked and there is no access to Galveston Bay from this location. Louis Bait camp one mile down the road is the closest place to put your boat in the cost is $5.

A taste of paradise just minutes from Galveston

Great vacation on the water away from humanity to get the feel of some freedom and peace and quiet love this place can’t wait till next summer

Nice location

Property is close to everything. The property is very quiet, great for fishing, crabbing, and just getting away. Gary was wonderful and very responsive. The home is cozy but needs a lot of updates and a little TLC. Gary adressed any of our concerns. We stayed comfortably during our stay. They neighbors are vey nice and informative. We plan on coming back.

Family trip

We have stayed at this property before. We were pleased again. Gary is very informative and helpful. We enjoy the convenience to Galveston and fishing from the home. Family friendly, neighbors are friendly.

Bayou

This could be a very nice place to stay. It was quiet with great sunset views as stated. However the dock had been changed since the pictures were put up and we could not fish off of it. The house needs some TLC as we experienced multiple water leaks and plumbing problems. The owner was quick to respond but we had 3 different problems in 5 days which was very frustrating.

Great fishing spot

If you’re looking for a great spot to fish away from all the tourists, this is the place. It is not for the glamorous and modern lifestyle. Definitely a fishing cabin. We had ability to cook or not. Master bed was comfortable. Didn’t use rest. Dock was good. Found out what “ coastal flooding “ means with beautiful weather… tides. Host was nice and returned calls. Able to stay additional evening which was nice. Caught lots of crabs and small trouts. Will keep in our list of fishing spots.

Clean comfortable relaxing stay close to Galveston

Exactly as described except better in real life than what you can see in the photos. There was some communication required at first about how to use the washing machine. But Gary was able to respond quickly with the solution. Have to say the communication was excellent. The inside is much more spacious than what the pictures show. I know everyone has their own preference for mattress firmness/softness- everyone in my group rested great. The air conditioners worked superbly in the Texas heat, which is always a concern. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean. The fishing dock and outdoor activities exceeded expectations. The kayak was stored but easy to access. Everyone had so much fun and made some great memories. Being able to bring the family pets was a super bonus that we especially appreciated. We would definitely like to go back but for longer next time!

I’d stay again

This was a decent property. Gary was awesome to work with and the price was great. One thing I’d say is the actual town isn’t pretty. Some of the houses you drive by to get to the house are run down or burnt out. I know the coast of TX so no big deal for us. If you’ve stayed at some of the nicer properties in Galveston or other places(ie way more expensive and “professionally managed”) just know that this property isn’t like those. That being said- it was safe, plenty of room for everyone, and we would stay again! I can’t emphasize enough how easy Gary was to work with.

Cozy Fishing Camp

We loved this property. My son is wheelchair bound and the ramp made things so easy. The home has enough room for 9 easily. 2 more even if needed. There were 6 of us and we were so comfortable. The owner just built a new fishing deck which was beautiful. We fished and crabbed. Pelicans stayed close for us to see. We used the barbecue pit provided as well. Very friendly neighbor who even let us borrow tools that we had left at home for our crab pot. Definitely want to come back!!! Communication with owner was clear, friendly and quick. Very well stocked rental.

Okay place to stay

Over all we enjoyed staying at this place.. there were plenty of beds for everyone and it was nice and quiet. The house could use a deep cleaning but was decent. I would stay here again.

We took our boys on a mini vacation for spring break we had a great time Gary was right there ready and willing to answer any questions we had the weather was not that great but we still enjoyed our stay ... everything we needed was available in the house the kids really liked the swings on the lower deck
