Was staying in the area for vacation to stroll around Beaufort and take in the air show at the Marine base. House was in a great spot to take advantage of both. It was quiet and lovely in the evenings and a great spot to watch the Blue Angels from the dock during the day.
We were able to enjoy the seclusion and quiet view from the dock. Convenient location to Beaufort.

Beautiful view
Beautiful view of the creek convenient location for going to Beaufort just about a 15 minute drive house was dated and the dock was a little sketchy, but it worked
Diamond in the rough. Outside of house could stand a cleaning, but inside was clean. Nice big yard with good privacy from neighbors with lots of greenery.
The weather played a huge impact as it limited our overall enjoyment of our stay. However, the host was very responsive, the house was spacious and the setting (minus the snow!) was beautiful.
The property is located north of Beaufort and it was very easy to reach sightseeing areas. Communication with the owners was easy, they were very responsive and helpful with any problems. We were there during Hurricane Helene and they were very helpful and assured us we were safe.
Unable to stay for our visit due to unforseen circumstances at the home. The property was beautiful and the host was very kind. Look forward to a possible stay in the future.
Internet wifi unusable. Television box not working
The property was beautiful location but very dated lot of light bulbs did not work funky smell. In dire need of some upgrades We left a day early because of no internet critical to my work.
Great property right on the water. Loved the back yard and the dock. The palmetto tree lined driveway, screened in porch were nice extras.
Hope to stay here again!

Needs place but need work
We enjoyed our trip. But the house was in need of repairs and painted. Floors have soft places. Carpet was stain bad in master bedroom also the bathroom had stains on wall from water damage. Tv controller don’t work in living room. Back porch is wonderful but floors needed mopped. In dinning room one of the floor registers is broken had to put chair over it to keep grandkids from falling through it. Coffee maker works but the lid is gone so you have to use fork to hold the release up so it runs into pot. The inside of the house look’s nothing like the pictures on Vrbo. We didn’t let any of this stop us from having a good time. My son in law love fishing but the dock is also in need of repairs.
We loved the yard and dock and the location was fantastic- the flooring really needs some help- really really stained carpeting in the bedrooms, one room smelled like a wet dog, and there were several areas where the floor sinks under foot when you step on it. The loveseat on the screened porch had torn upholstery with the stuffing sticking out. The air hockey table was fun but extremely wobbly which actually pinched my daughter's arm really badly. But overall we had a lovely stay. Check in was super easy and it was really nice being able to sit on the dock and enjoy coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening
Stayed here on our father-son fishing trip. Property was just as advertised. Secluded and quiet but still close to Restaurants and shops. House was very clean and plenty of room. Host was friendly, quick to respond. Would definitely recommend this property!
Enjoyed our stay out in the country. House was a little dated, needed to have the carpet replaced and some TLC performed to the interior & exterior. But we all enjoyed ourselves with the stay.
Let's start with the positives:
- Location is excellent. Close to downtown Beaufort but still peaceful and away from hustle and bustle that comes with staying downtown. On the river which provides excellent views.
- Check in and out is extremely easy
- House provides a lot of space with large living and dining room. Bedrooms are good sized. Space is good for family gatherings (though even in winter we spent more time out on the dock)
- Dock provides access to fishing and crabbing (we did not catch anything in January, but it was very cold that weekend). Dock has a fishing/boating platform with no railings, and then a gazebo type area with built in covered seating and railing
- Kids loved the air hockey table included (note that it needs some repairs as well)
The not so good:
House General:
- Floors are very soft and squishy (to the point that there are a few spots where you can see the boards depress several inches when you step on them and the flooring is no longer connected) (especially in the few feet on either side of the dining room/living room opening)
- house is generally musty
Master bedroom/bathroom
-large soaking tub provided but the water did not turn on properly so could not use
- large water stain next to master bath toilet
- low water pressure in master bath shower
- there is a small TV in the master bedroom but did not appear to be connected to cable and did not turn on with remote provided
Living Room:
- TV did not appear to work (turns on but never could get the cable to come on)
Hall bathroom:
- Tub needs to be resealed and is peeling. no stopper provided
- Water stains
- When first turned on sink black soot came from faucet but went away after running for a few seconds and did not return for rest of trip
Kids room:
- part of check out is moving all furniture back to original position. While a lamp is provided, it is not plugged in and you have to move the nightstand to find an accessible plug (more annoying than an issue)
Dock
- While an overall positive note there is loose and broken railings throughout the dock
Overall recommendations
provides lot of space and good outdoor spaces but more likely to take our chances with other locations due to conditions of the house itself (especially the soft floors and noticeable water damage with had us concerned there may be mold in the house)
Three bedrooms and three full bathrooms makes this a great home for a family with older kids or for several couples. The large dining room and living room are great for hanging out, playing games, and eating meals together. There’s lots of porch space along with a large yard and private boat dock so you can enjoy the weather and the view. The small fenced in area is great if you’re traveling with a dog.
The kitchen provides all of the basics but needs some additional bakeware. A crockpot would be great too! Otherwise you’ll find everything that you need. The Wi-Fi isn’t great but if the weather is good you’ll want to be outside anyway. The house is in a very quiet area. It is located just off the main drag and is close to Beaufort for shopping and dining. The house could use a thorough deep cleaning but wasn’t dirty or gross. We had a great stay and would definitely visit again!

We had a great time on vacation. Having our boat at the dock gave us easy access to fish, cruise, etc. Sunrise was gorgeous!
