Central location but not suitable for young children (hence the star rating)

We had a lovely stay in the village. The renovated property is very comfortable. However, be warned that this property is not suitable for young children due to the steep stairs from the bedrooms. At the bottom of these stairs is a large window that drops straight into the street. (This needs to be kept closed whilst you are moving up and down the stairs as it would be very easy to fall out of the window). The marketing description of the property should include reference to this fact . A stair gate should be provided as a minimum as there is a real health and safety issue here. This was a worry for us during our stay as our son is only six years old. We only discovered this upon arrival at the property when we warned by the agent. Apart from this everything in the property ensures a comfortable stay.

We are very sorry to hear that our agent forgot to offer you the use of the steel stair gate that is kept in the main bedroom and takes only a few minutes to fit. We have taken steps to ensure this never happens again! The property has been inspected and rated as suitable for a couple of adults with one or two children, although the bunk beds in the second bedroom are fine for two adults. The availability of the stair gate and steepness of the stairs are now mentioned on the Owners Direct website. We are glad you liked the village and found the apartment very comfortable.
