WELCOME TO 7 PLACE ST. PIERRE

This lovely old stone medieval house was once one of the olive mills in the village where olives were pressed, silk worms working their magic on the higher floors and outside you will see the rings where donkeys were tethered delivering each load of olives for pressing.

Place St. Pierre is located in the village of Callas below the ruined Castle walls in a quiet square and just a short 5 minute walk to the village.

If you are looking for somewhere special to embrace French village life then this is it! Beautiful Provencal villages, St. Tropez and beaches 45 minutes away, a wealth of amazing vineyards on your doorstep, local Provençal markets, golf, watersports, superb cycling terrain and the fabulous Gorge du Verdon – all nearby.

1 hour Nice Airport, Marseille Airport 1hr 20 minutes and Toulon Airport 1 hour (Toulon Airport more seasonal for summer months).

The house can accommodate 4 people comfortably (1x double room and 1x twin room) and is furnished and equipped to a high standard, with all home comforts. From a stylish kitchen for those of you who love cooking to the delightful south facing roof terrace with amazing views down to the Maures & Esterel Mountains if you simply want to relax.

Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels provided. Beach/sunbed towels, TV, Bose wireless sound system and free WIFI.

To ensure your stay runs smoothly our dear friend Liz De Yong who looks after our house and subject to your arrival time will be on hand to Welcome you and guide you quickly around the house. Liz prides herself on the first class service she offers so if you have any problems she is only a phone call away. Liz and her husband Harry live locally in the next village called 'Bargemon'. Liz is Canadian and also speaks excellent French.

Das Haus liegt in einem hübschen Dorf am Hang und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Blick in das Tal ist wunderbar, es gibt 2 gute Restaurants und eine nette Bar Tabac sowie einen gut sortierten Food Store. Es macht Spaß, die herrliche Umgebung bis hin zur Cotê d‘Azur zu erkunden. Leider gibt es keinen Garten und keinen Parkplatz am Haus.

Heerlijke vakantiewoning

Wij hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad in dit prachtige huis. Het is van alle gemakken voorzien en in keurig nette staat. Liz, de contactpersoon ter plekke, is erg vriendelijk en woont een dorp verderop. Zij is telefonisch en via Whatsapp bereikbaar indien nodig. Het enige waar je als huurder rekening mee moet houden, is het feit dat het prachtig gerenoveerde huis middenin een Middeleeuws dorpje staat, waar de huizen erg dicht bij elkaar staan. Wij vonden dit niet erg, maar je hoort je buren duidelijk en zij jou ook. Het uitzicht vanaf het dakterras is prachtig, bij helder weer zie je in de verte cruiseschepen voorbij varen! Al was het in de hete periode dat wij er waren (juli/augustus) veelal te heiig om de Middellandse Zee te zien. Wel prachtige rotspartijen die meekleuren met de zonsondergang. Heel ontspannend om van te genieten met een glaasje heerlijke lokale wijn. Callas heeft een paar goede restaurants waar je kunt genieten van lokale gerechten en wijnen. Dit huis is een aanrader voor een heerlijke relaxte vakantie in de Provence; rustig gelegen, maar niet al te ver van de gezellige drukte van de Côte d'Azur

The Perfect Provencal Village House

7 Place St Pierre is the perfect provencal village house. It has everything you could need for a wonderful holiday. We were made to feel very welcome by Liz who looks after the property and she kept in touch to make sure that all was well. The house itself has been recently refurbished to the highest standard with all modern facilities. There were a lot of personal touches too, the fresh lavender on our pillows and the chilled bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival to name a few. The highlight of the house is the terrace on the 3rd floor - with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside it's hard to tear yourself away. The location of the house means that you can explore Callas easily. A walk to the boulangerie every morning for fresh croissants was a lovely way to start the day. There are 4 restaurants in the village and we tried and would recommend them all. Callas is a great base to explore the Var region - the Gorge du Verdon, Lac Ste Croix, the hilltop villages, the local markets are all easily accessible - if you don't mind the narrow roads and hairpin bends! The streets in the village are very narrow so if you do take a car, make sure it's a small one. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, peaceful holiday in a beautiful house in a beautiful village in a beautiful part of France.

We fell in love with Place St. Pierre due to its quiet charm, stunning views from the terrace over the mountains and vineyards to the South and down to the sea in the distance, easy walk to the village with its bars and restaurants whilst situated in the heart of magnificent vineyards.

What makes this property unique

We have a passion for old buildings and it is believed to be around 900 years old, which we have lovingly restored.
