Two-storey modern villa with its own private pool, located in the pretty village of Trebes on the Canal du Midi. A short short walk from the house brings you to the canal-side bars and restaurants at the canal-side in Trebes. Only a ten minute drive from the town of Carcassonne and the Cité heritage site. The house and pool are for your use only. Three bedrooms, large open plan dining/sitting room, well equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower/ bath, and separate second toilet. Suitable for family up to four adults and two children. (Two doubles and one twin room suitable for children). Ample seating and dining areas. TV and free internet access. Patios to front and back for those long Summer evening barbecues. Lovely private pool, outdoor furniture, coal-barbecue, sun-loungers. Short drive to local supermarkets. Excellent location for visiting Carcassonne and beautiful Languedoc countryside.

Nice area with plenty to explore.

House was as described. Quiet area with lots to explore. Car essential. Air conditioning would be a nice addition for future visitors as the weather was very hot during our stay. All in all very good.

Wonderful villa

Fantastic villa. Received a very warm welcome on arrival. The villa is well equipped, bright, clean and spacious. The swimming pool was clean and a good size. Everything you want in a holiday villa is here for the family. Modern kitchen, large tidy living space, bedrooms x3, bathroom and comfortable furnishings. The outside is very pretty with bbq, table and chairs and plenty of space to relax next to the pool. The villa had everything we needed and more. We have no hesitation in recommending this villa as a great holiday destination. Thank you for sharing your wonderful Villa, we have some fantastic memories that will stay with us forever.

Maison au calme près de Carcassonne

Séjour agréable néanmoins la climatisation serait un plus au vu des chaleurs l'été dans la région. La piscine est non chauffée mais cela n'est pas gênant. Le quartier est calme, la région est magnifique. Le pavillon est bien situé pour visiter la région (1h de Toulouse et 15min de Carcassonne).

Needs maintenance and kitchen deep clean

The villa suffers from annoying maintenance issues such as a warped gate which is impossible to close and lock and a strong smell of drains in a bedroom. The kitchen area had only received a quick wipe and most dishes and utensils were covered in grime, we ran two full dishwashers to clean what we needed for the week and wiped the shelves. One of the sun lounger is broken and a lounger mattress has a deep tear. We felt that the poor quality of fixings and amenities was letting the villa down, what a shame!

Belle villa tout confort, proche de Carcassonne

Nous avons passé 2 semaines dans cette belle villa. L'organisation est parfaite, entre les différents mails de Mura pour préparer notre arrivée, l'accueil de Mark, l'entretien de la piscine par Gérard, le ménage a mi séjour, les cahiers avec pleins de bons plans, ... Nous avons apprécié la piscine, particulièrement la deuxième semaine a plus de 40°. On aurait apprécié un ventilateur par pièce (il y en a 2 pour 3 chambres), à défaut de climatisation.

Superb holiday home in Trèbes

Being familiar with the beautiful town of Trèbes and the surrounding area, this was an easy choice of holiday home for us and we weren't disappointed. The house is easily big enough to accommodate 6 people comfortably and everything was clean and fresh. it's an easy walk into the town where you can sit by the canal du Midi and enjoy wonderful local food, and the local boulangerie is close enough for fresh bread and croissant every morning. The only small criticism we had was that the new fridge freezer is not big enough or powerful enough to deal with the high summer temperatures . That aside we would like to thank Maura and Kevin for letting their beautiful home in the sun and wouldn't hesitate to return for another stay.

Vakantie tussen de Fransen.

Mooi huis in een rustige buurt. Klein dorp zodat de bakker en de supermarkt op loopafstand zijn. Ten minste dat vinden wij. Het huis is voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt voor een fijne vakantie. Contact met Maura is snel, persoonlijk en duidelijk. Hetzelfde geldt voor Mark, de contactpersoon ter plaatse.

Belle maison

La maison était très fonctionnelle malheureusement le temp n'était pas au rendez-vous beaucoup de vent très nuageux et de plus il y avait des travaux pendant notre semaine de vacances donc très désagréable bruit des le matin 8h mais ça n'enlève en rien que la maison était très belle et fonctionnelle et nous avons était très bien accueilli rien à redire sur ça.

A nice and quite place

Thank you for letting us in your lovely (well equiped) home. We had a wonderfull time here in this quite but wunderfull neighborhood. A good choice

We stayed for 2 weeks in the begining of July 2018. The house is good, and are placed nice and quietly, which we prefer. Trebes are a very small town, but offers the basic, Bakery, Butcher, Supermarket and a few restuarants. If you enjoy some quiet time, central placed, this Villa are a very good choice. I recommend this Villa.

A well-appointed gite in an interesting area

This well-appointed gite lies in an interesting part of SW France - close to Carcassonne, the Minervois and within easy driving distance of the Mediterranean beaches. As advertised, the gite is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac of a residential area with secure off-road parking, and is within easy strolling distance of the village centre - food shops (including a bakery), a variety of restaurants and the Canal du Midi. The gite was clean and comfortable and we were met on arrival by the local gite manager with some bread and a bottle of wine. There is so much to do in the local area and our week passed all too quickly; we also included a day's visit to Toulouse by rail (TGV) from Carcassonne SNCF Station. (Tip - when visiting Carcassonne, including La Cite, park in the underground car park on Square Gambetta, which is just after you cross the river Aude - it is conveniently situated for everything and saves having to drive around the town). We would recommend this gite without reservation.

Lovely house, great welcome !!

Fabulous week in Trebes

Super property in a quiet location on the edge of Trebes with a short walk to the centre of this beautiful town. Property has all of the facilities you need and is clean and well furnished/decorated. Outdoor seating area and lovely pool. Marvelous views over the vineyards towards the mountains. Very warm welcome from the local property managers and the owner is very helpful too and promptly repaid the security deposit. Highly recommended.

The owners, Kevin Barry and Maura Sharkey live in Dublin and the house is managed by our house manager who lives near Trebes. He makes arrival arrangements with guests, and is happy to help with local information.

Why they chose this property

Our favourite things to do while at Villa Vivaldi Trebe are strolling to the centre of the village for a drink or meal on the banks of the canal, cycling or walking along the canal paths or through the vineyards near the house. The world heritage site of Carcassonne Cité is only ten minutes drive away. Interesting day trips include amazing Cathar castles, fascinating caves and into the Pyrenees. There are some wonderful markets nearby, and restaurants from pizza to Michelin star. Carcassonne golf club, just up the road, welcomes visitors. All this and possible day trips to Narbonne and the beaches beyond, or the beautiful city of Toulouse. Many guests take overnight trips to Barcelona and Andorra. For clients who wish to improve their french we can recommend and offer you more information on Ludo Expression language school in nearby Carcassonne. You will find a book in the house with details and suggestions for a great holiday.....and there are always those lazy days by the private pool followed by a barbecue outdoors.

What makes this property unique

The private swimming pool is a good size: Length 8m, width 4m Depth from 1.2m to 1.8m.
Cleaning and maintenance of the pool is carried out regularly, by our local maintenance person who may call during your stay. You do not need to make any arrangements, and this will not interfere with your relaxation and enjoyment during your stay.
