UNDER NEW MANAGMENT!

Cozy third floor beach cottage, one bedroom, one bathroom, sleeps up to four guests. Open space living area includes a futon that can sleep two guests and equipped kitchen for meals. Parking included in property with some space for small boats or kayaks if you choose to bring your own. With ocean within fifty feet, you may choose to be active in water sports or rest in the front patio hammock. The tall, well established trees within the property give this third floor beach cottage a " within and above the tree canopy feel " while enjoying ocean views.
Attractions: some local night life, 15 mins drive to Laguna Tortuguero preserve in Manati, 45 mins drive to Zipline (extreme sports) at Toro Verde in Orocovis, 10 mins drive to surfing in the Atlantic Coast.

the apartment is well located for the beach and various restaurants in the area. super basic accommodations and nothing fancy; 2 people max. noise level was rough with barking dogs at times in the night. host was very attentive and helpful. lack of a/c wasn't an issue on this 3rd floor space with the consistent breeze.

Beautiful location

Stayed almost 6 weeks and found it worked perfect for us. Jose was a fantastic host and gave us many tips about the area and even took us on a tour. We were only a 5 min walk to a beautiful beach and home to sea turtles. Friendly people in the area and made friends with others staying near us in beach houses. Close to grocery store, bars, restaurants and a local bakery.

Perfect Host

Our host, Jose, was always easy to reach and over accommodating for our every request and need. Even when he was away on business he saw to it that our requests were handled in a very timely fashion. We have stayed at many rentals and I'm pretty sure Jose gets best host ever.

Loved every bit of my experience. From the beginning, Marianela and Adrian were kind and communicative about the Villa Annette Beach House. They sent additional pictures and videos ahead of time to help get familiarized with the property. The Beach House itself was adorable and perfect for my solo trip. The space can easily accommodate 2 adults and there was even another futon-like bed in the living room for an additional person. The pictures on the listing were highly accurate. The kitchen had silverware, plates and more. Plenty of towels and bedding were available. Wi-Fi connection was strong. I appreciated the warmth of the water in the shower. The breeze from the ocean was felt throughout the entire space and the sounds of the waves clashing on the beach made it feel like paradise (which it was). The only part I did not like was leaving on my last day!! :( But Marianela was so warm and welcoming so I know without a doubt that I will be back there on my next solo vacation! Great place to relax

Relaxing and just a short minute walk to the ocean. Friendly neighborhood and met people from all over. Sunsets amazing. Beach was swimmable all the time, nightlife was lively with people of all ages. Grocery store, bakery, food trucks within walking distance made it hard to leave. The breeze and fans made you forget there was no air conditioning. The birds at night made it paradise to fall asleep. Great vacation spot.

Our host was absolutely wonderful and the location was very nice. The place itself was not. He needs to tile the floors and gut that kitchen. Totally out dated and the stove barely usable. Need to take the dirty stuff off the shelves and build them out to put groceries. We made it work but was very disappointed in the place.

Nice, simple place to stay

Overall, we liked this place. It's close to the beach, which was nice. The bed is comfortable. There's a nice shared space outside for BBQs and hammocks hanging on porches to use. The parking is private, off the street in a gated area. It was a bit more primitive than we expected. There's no air conditioning and the floors are concrete. Perhaps it's because we were there during Good Friday, but the neighborhood was very noisy until after 10:00 PM (loud music) and our kids go to bed at 8:00, so that was rough, especially since we had to keep the windows open. We found a couple cockroaches, but with no AC and windows open, it seemed reasonable. The host came to talk to us at 10:00 PM. She was very nice, but we would prefer earlier visits.

We spent the month of March in upper beach house. It was clean, comfortable bed, and in a superior location for spending time at a beautiful beach. The area is safe, has a fantastic boardwalk, grocery store, bakery, cafe’s and various bar’s within walking distance. Our host was amazing and available. We had access to various beach chairs and umbrella. The area has lovely trees, shrubs & flowers typical if a southern climate.

Beautiful cottage

The owners of the cottage were very friendly and courteous. They were always available if there were any questions to be asked. The cottage was quaint and comfortable. Close walk to a beautiful beach. Many good restaurants within walking distance. There was secure parking located in the property. Would definitely stay at the location again.

I found paradise with my Hosts in Vega Baja and cannot wait to return to stay with them. Jose and Marianella welcomed me as family, making every minute of my stay in Vega Baya full of joy and fun. We talked and ate together, swam and walked the beach together and I truly enjoyed their company. They have transformed their house into a home and you will love staying here! Highly Recommend!!

Hassle free authentic island experience

This is a typical PR home for the area. Louvered covers for the windows, open frame construction, essential amenities, etc. It was perfect for me. Located right across the street from a nice and clean beach. If I wasn’t busy following my son’s team or sightseeing, I could always go to the beach to relax. This is a popular area in the evenings so you will here music until midnight. But you will appreciate the sounds of the ocean breeze, waves, and nature while you sleep. And I can’t say enough good things about the hosts. They reached out to me before my trip. They met me at the driveway to help me find their home. And they were available to answer any of my questions through my entire stay. They were the best.

Great local flavor getaway

We loved our space with Marianela and Jose! The apartment was very sweet and perfect for our needs -- there was lots of privacy for us on the upper patio even though they also were on the property in a lower level apartment. Jose and Marianela provided the perfect blend of accessible and unintrusive as we came and went on our activities. They were generous in loaning bikes for amazing morning beach bike ride, cooler and beach chairs for the beach, etc. Marianela was even receptive to helping us sort out a challenge we were having getting some takeout food! The beach is a very short walk away and we enjoyed kayaking, beach time, and hiking the rocks nearby. The location was also a great home base for day trips we took to other locales / adventures. If you're interested in getting a local and authentic flavored experience with charm and great hosts, this is a great place to check out!

A bit rustic but Awesome!

The third floor cottage has a beautiful view of the ocean, you go to sleep listening to the waves and wake up listening to the waves. You are a short 5 minute walk to the Vega Baja Beach. Thus is a very nice beach and I never felt unsafe. You can see both the sunrise and the sunset from the beach. The cottage is the perfect size for one or two people. Good bed and very nice linens. And the wildlife is pretty cool too! I will definitely stay here again! Jose and Marienella (sorry for the spelling) are both GREAT! Everything you need is close by they have bikes and beach chairs you can use while there.

Great choice of affordable accommodation in a nice town with a swimming friendly beach. The owners Marianela and Jose are very gracious and accomodating hosts and we can't recommend their services enough. They've gone above and beyond in assisting us with our relocation to Puerto Rico and the place was clean, nicely decorated, and fully functional.

Awesome stay!

Marianela and Jose are the most accommodating hosts I have ever encountered. They made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and more. You don't even need to bring shampoo! We stayed more than a week, so Marianela brought us clean towels, sheets and even beach towels. They are also very informative about the area and what other parts of the Island are interesting to visit too. The apartment is well equipped with all your needs. We had the feeling like we were in the jungle, with all the trees and sounds. It is a bit rustic ( no TV or Wi-Fi) but this didn't affect our stay in the slightest! The outdoor patio is huge, which is where we enjoyed all of our mornings ( Iguana watching) and evenings star gazing. There is no oven, but we had full use of the BBQ, on which we cooked almost all of our meals. The only reason I didn't give 5 * is because of the neighbours dogs that bark in the wee hours, but this is not the owners' fault. We are already planning on returning next year!

I traveled to Puerto Rico with my best friend and we couldn't be happier with our choice of accommodation. The owner was on top of it from the moment we inquired about her apartment until our departure. She called us the day prior to our arrival to confirm our arrival times, and she called a few days after our stay to make sure we had a good time while in PR. We even texted her during our stay to get the some local advise on places to eat & drink. It made my first VRBO experience feel very safe and professional. The owner is a great VRBO host! The photos on her profile are true to how the apartment actually looks like, and the apartment is only a walk from the beach. The balcony with a beach view was the best! I would definitely want to stay here again.

The open living area includes a futon, suitable for two guests to sleep, and a kitchen fitted out for mealtimes. On-site parking is included, allowing for some additional space for securing small boats or kayaks, should you opt to bring your own. As the ocean lies less than 50 feet away, you may decide upon water sports or simply lazing out on the hammock at the front patio. The towering trees on the property add a “in the treetops” feel to this third-floor beach cottage, while also offering gorgeous ocean sights.


Attractions: great spot to enjoy some local nightlife, 15 minute drive to the Laguna Tortuguero Nature Reserve in Manatí, about a 45 minute drive to Zipline (extreme sports) at Toro Verde in Orocovis, plus an easy 10 minute drive to nearby surfing spots by the Atlantic shoreline.

This beach house traces a long history of more than 50 years and remains in family hands for over several generations. It is a place to spend quality time with a healthy spirit. Moreover, we maintain a deep sense of environmental commitment, paying careful regard to the natural resources of the local environment. Additionally, we show consideration for the local animals and their habitat (e.g. cobia, starfish, sea urchins, iguanas, fish, birds, etc.), strongly encouraging guests to contemplate the corals instead of touching them, depositing garbage in the bins, recycling, avoiding noise pollution and restricting audio by listening to music for oneself, while requiring that lights, air conditioners and fans be turned off if unused.
