Charming Retaise House in La Flotte

My accommodation is close to the city center. Enjoy this house for outdoor spaces, the area, brightness, hotel bedding and fully equipped kitchen. My accommodation is perfect for all types of stays (families, couples, business travelers ...).
The house is fully privatized. It consists of an entrance leading to a kitchen (fitted), a center island and a new household. The kitchen opens onto a dining area and a living area with two sofas and a flat screen (with WIFI). Master bedroom has a bed of 160/200, a double wardrobe and a bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet. Two other bedrooms each offer two 90/190 beds with double wardrobe. Near the bedrooms, there is a second bathroom with walk-in shower and a separate toilet. A provision, a utility room with washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, and any household.
The house has a 55m² terrace with all external equipment with BBC to enjoy your holiday in quiet (garden furniture, chairs and loungers). Access to the house is via an automatic gate leading to an open and automatic garage.

To know: Linen hire, pillow cases and towels (2 towels per person) for € 15 per person payable in cash on arrival.

A Beautiful house

A superb house, beautifully clean and comfortable and equipped with absolutely every article that could possibly be needed—and of high quality too—-this was a place that made our holiday in La Flotte really special. It was peaceful and a pleasant distance from the centre and bike trails. The owner could not have been more helpful to us….

Ideally suited for an extended family. Secure and very well appointed.

With three generations of a family staying this house was ideal for our stay. The secure garden enabled the children to play and still gave space for the adults to enjoy the sun drenched patio area. The kitchen and utility area is very well appointed. We were able to walk into La Flotte through the charming side streets to the market and harbour and use the myriad of cycle routes to explore other places on the island. The house is four years old but still in pristine condition, the owner was present on arrival and departure to clarify any matters regarding the house and its facilities. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

Une maison offrant tout le confort et tous les détails qui font que le séjour est très agréable ! La propriétaire est une perfectionniste de la propreté et sait accueillir ses visiteurs. La situation proche du centre de la Flotte à pied et des pistes cyclables a répondu à nos attentes. Il y avait aussi tout le nécessaire pour un enfant en bas âge. Merci pour ce séjour parfait !

Excellent stay in La Flotte

This spacious property has been renovated to a very high standard, well equipped and cleverly designed, for example the blinds and sun canopy are motorised. The owner lives in the same street. A big advantage in my opinion. My impression is that property has been designed and fitted out by outstanding construction professionals. Two bedrooms are at the front of the property, one bedroom at the back, with the kitchen/ living room in between; this is a good arrangement if two couples are staying. Everything was in good working order. The décor was pristine, like a show home. It is a very quiet street, but within easy walking distance to the sea and to the shops and cafes of La Flotte. There are two supermarkets within a mile or two. From the front door, you can cycle on quiet streets and dedicated cycle paths. The chief attraction of this flat island is the well marked cycling paths, which run right around the island, often alongside the sea, or between the watery expanses at the westerly end of the island. You might go for a one hour ride, then have a pleasant lunch at a café or oyster cabin. It is not suited to fast cycling, you need a hybrid or mountain bike. There are plenty of bike hire shops. We brought our own bikes. One day we put the bikes on the car and drove a few miles to the west of the island and cycled from there If you have cycle carriers for your car, , I should bring them, even if you hire bikes. If you want to go walking, France has better options. The mighty bridge to the mainland (Pont du Re), has a bike lane. The bike lane is separated by a wall from vehicular traffic. We cycled it. Very exciting. On another day , we drove to La Rochelle and spent the day there. It would be a shame not to visit La Rochelle; it is a beautiful and interesting city. We also had a nice swim in the sea one day. There are sandy beaches suitable for swimming, but not close to La Flotte. There is an ample choice of good places to eat out, and good food shops if you want to eat in. All the villages are pleasant, litter-free places. I have a little rudimentary French, which was handy, because the owner, although very charming and helpful does not have any English. So, if you like good food (especially seafood), easy cycling and are looking for a quiet, well appointed place in a good location, this one is recommended.
