Cottage Studio Suite with King Bed on 300 Acre Mountain Retreat

Currently under repairs. ....Just out the door enjoy hiking, wading the creek, campfire pit, gas grill, or just reading a book in the shade! Secluded but very easy access. The Azalea Studio Suite is one of two completely separate suites in the Yellow Cottage. This suite has a king bed, efficiency kitchen, bath with tub/shower, a small back porch facing the creek along with a large picnic area. Also access to gas grill, campfire pit, trails, creeks, fish pond, and picnic areas all on a 300 acre retreat which is shared with only 2 other houses. There are also horses on the property.

Close to the internationally acclaimed Penland School of Craft, the property location is also only about 3 miles from the historic district of the town of Spruce Pine, NC and an hour from either Asheville, NC, Boone, NC, or Johnson City, TN. We're centrally located between Mt. Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi), Roan Mountain and Grandfather Mountain.

In the town of Spruce Pine, you'll find groceries, restaurants, arts and crafts, antiques, thrift stores, golfing, gem mining, and medical facilities. Burnsville is another nearby town with a charming town square, ice cream and coffee shops, gifts, the Parkway Playhouse where you can enjoy a main stage theatre show in season.
