Marcadis Gite @Finders Keepers France. Adult only site with 16 acres and a lake

Finders Keepers France is an ADULTS ONLY Camping and Glamping retreat situated at a non-working French Farm. Encased in 16 Acres of rural grounds and with a 3 Acre fresh water lake, you will feel alone and surrounded by nature. Despite its rural peaceful setting the site is close to the towns of Nerac and Condom.

Marcadis Gite offers comfort whilst having the opportunity to use all of the facilities available within the camping site.

A 1 Bedroom Adult only Gite attached to the owners 1817 farm house. Placed in 13 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland with a fabulous 3 acre lake. Very private with own entrances and gardens. The Accommodation can accommodate 2 Adults.

This is a large open plan Gite with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. We try and cater for all needs to ensure that you have a fabulous stay. The Gite is very rustic with added extras such as:

Bedroom: King size bed, highest quality white Egyptian cotton bedding, Egyptian cotton bathrobes, hairdryer, shoe cleaning kit.

Lounge: 1 sofa and chair, French TV, Stereo, DVD player and selection of French and English DVD's, record player and records, reading books.

Dining area: table and chairs.

Bathroom: shower, toiletries, towels.

Kitchen: Dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, fridge, freezer, tea/coffee making facilities, coffee maker, crockery and cutlery.

Extras:
Front outside dining area with table and chairs. BBQ. Also, a lower-level relaxation area with sofa and chairs. All complete with lighting.

Parking

Finders Keepers France is a family run camping and glamping retreat consisting of a holiday cottage (Marcadis Gite), 2 glamping tents and 2 camping tents. There is a coffee lounge that sells coffee, tea, soft drinks, milk shake, drinking chocolate, wine and beer. There is a small above ground swimming pool, a small plunge pool, plus you are able to swim in the lake.

Around you grounds you will find badminton, Ping-Pong, Archery, a 3-acre lake, plus much more.

Shady rest is our undercover social area which is home to the coffee lounge, library, armoire with board games.

There is a games room located within shady rest which has a pool table and dart board.

Parking for any size vehicle. No electric hook up.

We have placed many hammocks, tables, chairs and benches in and around the grounds so you can just sit, relax and enjoy the views, wildlife, and weather. This is a truly beautiful place for a relaxing break if you love nature, the outdoors and wildlife.

We are surrounded by nature and fields therefore you may experience visits by wildlife. We try our best to prevent visitors inside the gite however this is sometimes out of our hands during farming season. All animals are removed humanly and returned to their habitats safely and quickly

Lovely property, just as described, all the amenities that you need in a home away from home break. Really cosy, outdoor amenities are plenty and catered for indoor and outdoors so plenty to keep you entertained if weather isn’t great. Fab hosts as well..

Wow, what great Gite... This is a little gem with loads to do. Quiet and secluded with a lake to view and enjoy with glass of wine. Darren and Paula have created a wonderful 'finders keepers' hideaway; this is our second visit and we will be returning in 2020. Thank you.

C'est sûrement le meilleur gîte que nous ayons fait. Paula et Darren sont charmants et très attentifs. Les équipements sont complets et les espaces de repos nombreux. Les 2 piscines et les coins apéro sont appréciables avec les très bon cocktails de Darren. Une petite balade sur le lac terminera la journée.

My wife and I had a great time at this VRBO. Our hosts, Paula and Darren, were so welcoming and nice from the moment we met them until the time we left. De l'accueil aux services (quand necessaire) le propriétaire Darren est là, d'une discrète présence et à votre disposition pour vous proposer des activités sur place, vous conseiller sur les sites environnants à visiter. Le gîte est TOP pour 2 personnes. Le parc est somptueux et les jardins très fleuris. Une petite piscine très appréciable. Le gîte est à 10/20km de sites remarquables à visiter sans faute. Pour tout faire prévoir 2 semaines. Nous avons regretté l'absence de Paula et espérons faire sa connaissance une prochaine fois. Marie et Patrice

Das Haus ist zu empfehlen .

Das Haus umfasst mehrere Hektar-Grundstück. Stühle und Tische zum sitzen findet man überall im Arial. zum Grundstück gehört auch einen kleinen See mit Insel. man kann mit dem Boot dort fischen gehen. Der Gastgeber Herr Darren ist sehr lieber Mensch. der Platz hier würde nicht ausreichen , um ihn mit Worten genau zu beschreiben. Danke Darren vielmals für Alles.

Finders Keepers :on a trouvé et on gardera ...de merveilleux souvenirs! Confort digne d'un grand hôtel et pour les amoureux de la nature un vrai paradis. Tellement d'activités sur place et de calme qu'on a dû se forcer pour prendre la voiture afin de visiter cette très belle région et ses beaux villages . What a find!!!

We loved our stay at Finders Keepers. It was everything we had expected and so much more. We finished our French trip with two days here for rest and relaxation. There is so much to do within the property that you won’t want to leave although when you do you will find some real gems in this beautiful part of France. We loved everything about this Gite and think Paula and Darren are offering something very special indeed. Our favourite spot was down by the lake where the boat is stored but there are so many seating areas that I am sure we still had some to find. This is a real nature lovers retreat but at a price that certainly doesn’t reflect the standard of the accommodation. We loved the quality of the linens and the softness of the towels and robes. I can’t find a single negative; only that we had to leave! We will be back for a longer stay next time! Thank you so much Darren and Paula!

Situé dans une grande propriété où tout est mis à disposition des vacanciers, le gite se révèle riche en activités à faire sur place ; farniente dans les hamacs, billard, tennis de table, piscine, lecture, dessins et peinture, etc.... Le plus pour ce gite se situe dans sa partie boisée avec le lac sur lequel il est possible de se balader en barque pour observer la faune et la flore. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous dès le premier jour. Nous recommandons vivement cette location, surtout pour les amoureux de la nature !

Everything one can possibly need is there, and it has got style to it!

Darren, your landlord, is a most friendly, hospitable, creative, energetic and playful personality, who is willing to help you with anything without being obtrusive at all. There is no need to get bored, neither in good nor in bad weather, for the premises are full of nice and original seats, hidden fairies - I'm not going to reveal anything - nature and a whole shed changed into relaxing place, with board games, a pool table, books, artist's materials, etc. Behind the shed, there is a table, bench and hanging chair where you can perfectly enjoy the sunset. And then there is the world outside. The area is really charming and quiet, with its bastides and other little towns (e.g. Nérac) and beautiful gardens (Les Jardins de Coursiana) that are worth a visit. And one of their good aspects is, that they are within reasonable reach so that they can be visited in half a day if you want. Which gives you time to fill the other half of the day by having a siesta, doing some shopping, playing around 'at home' or add another half-a-day's visit. And don't forget to swim in the lake, row-row-row-your-boat and watch the stars at night. You can even see the Milky Way! Book this gîte! Now! You won't regret it.

We are a husband and wife team who are the owners of Finders Keepers France. We moved to the South of France back in 2016 after working in the Medical branch of the Royal Navy. Passionate about the outdoors, nature and France our vision is to offer a rural retreat for those needing a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Surrounded by views, wildlife, and silence, Finders Keepers France allows guests to recharge, refresh and relax whilst enjoying the facilities we have to offer. Independently developing and maintaining the business has allowed us to offer a personal touch and natural feel whilst retaining its rustic natural charm.

Becoming an LPO refuge (Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux) in 2017 provided us with the knowledge and support to develop the grounds to protect the visiting wildlife, monitor potential hazards, and restore natural habitats. The increase in wildlife habitats and nesting boxes around the grounds has resulted in an increase in many species of animals, including an endangered European Mink.  

The development of a butterfly meadow has seen a huge increase in butterfly's and moths, and Participating in Open Gardens has seen the gardens open to the public once a year, raising money for local charitable causes.

We are always on the look out for new adventures and new developments, and are known locally for adopting animals in need. We have adopted some ex battery hens, 4 rescue cats and 3 rescue dog.

We fell in love with Lieu-dit Badie when we were touring the area on holiday. The minute we saw it we instantly fell in love. The property itself was very french and beautiful with the added extra outbuildings and gites to enable us to share its beauty with family, friends and relatives.

Its location is perfect for those who love the great outdoors, peace, nature, France, good food and wine. The beauty of the surroundings change from day to day and you never get one day the same.

What makes this property unique

We pride ourselves on relaxation and getting away from it all. Embrace nature, wildlife and find yourself again.

We have a fabulous 3 acre lake which is available for use at any time. If you like to swim, fish, relax or just sit and watch nature this is idyllic.

The Sunrises and Sunsets are also breathtaking due to being positioned on an elevated position.
