Great location, great host but unfortunately the property was very dated and needs a renovation. Worst of all, air conditioning really needs updating. We were very uncomfortable

Hi Bernie and Paul, we're glad you appreciated the house's amazing location but sorry to hear that you weren't comfortable. As the ad clearly shows, this is a family vacation home that the owners themselves use intensely since decades and that is not your typical new, soul-less holiday rental that only exists for making an income. As for the air conditioning, it clearly mentions in the ad that it is only in the living room. It was actually installed very recently, functions perfectly and doesn't need any updating. I suppose you didn't take a careful look at the ad before booking, it's always a good idea to take your time for finding the right place and not make a decision just on the price which, as you well know, is very very reasonable for the great location and amazing garden of the house!

Family friendly

We stayed in Sotogrande with our children and grandchildren and had a lovely vacation. There was enough space for everyone and we all enjoyed the outdoor amenities. The location is close to downtown but away from it all for peace and quiet. A great stay!

Amazing!!! The pictures of the property on VRBO look amazing but it was even better in real life. The group loved the space especially the the back garden!

A bit tired

Large bungalow with bedrooms everywhere! It really needs updating inside as it feels that it hasn’t been touched for years. Mold around shower being a classic example. However, the outside areas are very good with good furniture. It was fine for four golfers! The service from the agents was excellent, although having to meet their representative at the end of the trip was a bit of a pain.

Hi Andy, we sent our lovely maid Loli over to see you out on your departure as a friendly gesture, I'm sorry that you perceived this as a pain! As for the interior of the house, as is clear in the pictures of the ad this is not a newly refurbished modern house (if it were we would have charged you a much higher rent!). But as our other guests testify in the wonderful reviews they have left us, it is very comfortable and spacious, and indeed with a wonderful garden and very well located.

Lovely family villa in excellent location

This villa was the perfect set up for our family and in a great location in Sotogrande. The area is a quiet suburban area only a few minutes from the tennis club and Trocadero beach club. A short drive from an excellent supermarket. In the villa there was a safety fence for the pool which gave piece of mind that the children were safe. A sand pit and play house also provided lots of entertainment. The villa has a nice, relaxed family feel to it. Perhaps a little more tired looking than the photos. It is largely well equipped in terms of facilities. We are used to bbq’ing when on holiday but the bbq was very small so we mainly cooked in the kitchen. A very enjoyable stay all in all.

Viveca

Beautiful and warm home

It is a wonderful home, cared for very well and very well suited for families with children. Every space was very well appointed, from the kitchen to the bedrooms. It truly felt like a home of a very loving family. Even though we were the first guests, there were absolutely no glitches or teething issues. The location was superb - right off the highway (yet no disturbances), in a gated community, with all facilities and even a great beach just 1km away. The pool area faced a wooded area, affording a high level of privacy, and also keeping one very close to nature. Viveca was super-helpful and responsive. We highly recommend this property.
