We had a lovely stay at the Villa. It contained everything we needed, spotlessly clean and cleaner attended twice a week too.WiFi coverage was a bit patchy but spent most of our time in the large and quiet outside area. There is a good size pool and plenty of loungers with cushions for them which was a nice touch. There is sun around the pool all day, although the pool itself is in shade for quite a lot of the day.Great location, a genuine 15-20 minutes stroll to the Marina and surrounding area. Great choice of restaurants.Comms with the Villa owner were good and straight forward, we’d very happily stay again.Thank you Carlos and Ana.

Villa Merlo

Well maintained and very clean villa in a fantastic location. Better than it looks in the photographs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and private yet a 10 minute walk to the marina.

Lovely Villa

The villa was perfect for us (5 adults). The location was good, very quiet estate just a 20 minute walk to the harbour, perfect for eating out and an 8 minute drive to a fabulous beach. The pool is a good size and very well maintained. We used the BBQ one night, worked well. 5 min walk to the local supermarket. Communication with the owners was excellent.Would definitely consider rebooking.

Great location and nice reasonably priced property

Ideal for us as four golfers playing Vilamoura courses and eating in the Marina. An easy walk in to the Marina. Very helpful comms with Carlos and Ana

Lovely villa, great location

Villa is lovely, spacious, clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Pool and garden area are great, in a really nice, quiet location 20 minutes walk to the marina and only 10 minutes from nearest supermarket. Highly recommended.

Beautiful villa attentive owner

We loved the villa, gardens and pool, the area was really lovely too. The villa was spacious and the kitchen well equipped. We had a cleaner arrive on the Tuesday and change of towels. We had a couple of minor issues which were promptly dealt with by the owner. The only thing we would suggest is a small welcome pack so that we could have a drink and a quick bite to eat whilst waiting for our shopping to arrive.

Lovely villa in a quiet area but within walkable distance of Marina & shops. Very clean & pool area amazing. Had a slight problem with hot water but was resolved very promptly. Would definitely recommend staying here. We had a great time 😎

Great Villa.

Great property, photos don’t do it justice. Pool very well maintained and great for kids. Bedrooms comfortable and well sized. Break out areas well equipped with good wi-fi. Would love to return next year.

quiet relaxing holiday#

Villa was as advertised with all modern convivences supplied, a well stocked kitchen, air con in all bedrooms and the sitting room area was very nice. Outside pool area very well maintained and nice amount of seating, pool good size, location perfect for walking or touring the rest of the surrounding areas from Faro to Portimão, enjoyed our stay very much.

Another amazing stay at Villa Merlo

This is our repeat 2nd year at Villa Merlo and we have again had an amazing holiday with family (9 of us) sharing the Villa Great authentic Portuguese property Stunning pool and sun trap, and best of all a 10 minute walk or €4 Euro taxi into vilamoura marina Jose is a great host and is really good to deal with Already booked this villa again for summer 2020 👍

Fantastic vacation period in Vilamoura

It is a very well equipped property with space inside the house and in its garden and pool area. It is great for relaxing or having fun with the children. It also has a good location, near the marina and in a nice neighborhood. As a plus, at the middle of the week the house was cleaned and the pool treated. Regarding the communication with the property manager, I must say that everything was quick, clear and smooth.

Villa Merlo

The property was easy to find and in a great location. The town was only a 15 minute walk away. The listing doesn't do it justice as it was Huge! Plenty of room for the 5 of us with a large pool. The villa had everything you need apart from a dustpan and brush or indoor broom. This would make it alot easier to clean up when you have a mishap. A cleaner came halfway through the week and was friendly and did a thorough clean. We would definitely recommend this traditional villa to everyone!

Fabulous

Fantastic property, perfect location. From start to finish great communication with host. Cot & high chair both supplied by host. Villa is very well set out & very spacious. The pool is amazing, was cleaned every morning by local guy, property also cleaned with towel change mid stay. Kitchen is very well stocked for cooking big family meals. We were a family party of 7 + a baby & we all loved everything about the villa & hope to return. Lovely walk to local spa for fresh fish & meat. Again a lovely walk to marina both during the day and on an evening where it really comes to life with lots of live music and busy restaurants.

Great villa and location

We arrived on 10th Oct 23 for a 10 night stay at the Villa Merlo, 6 adults all over 50. The villa was just as advertised, spacious and clean, lovely pool area and gardens, and very close to the shops and Vilamoura Marina. Carlos / Ana were always available by message if required and couldn’t have been more helpful. We would definitely recommend this Villa to anyone wanting a relaxing time away. Some useful info: Uber taxis were here within 2 mins usually, a Spar and Krunchy Kream coffee and doughnuts within 5-10 min walk and Intermarche another 5 mins further, with the marina another 5 minutes further on. Only drawback we found was (and nothing to do with the Villa) there was a lot of mosquitoes about and we definitely had to buy insect repellent and cortisone cream.

Supposed to be a magical months holiday

We arrived on Saturday 3/6 on Monday 5/6 woke to what sounded like living on a building site Noise was horrendous contacted ? Villa owner who came he later emailed to say contact yourselves we did we replied to email as your assistant requested No reply at all we then wanted to try and have our holiday but had a request by vrob support to rate your customer service assistant as we had np reply we tried again to reply to the original email and had an email stating that our complaint had been completed and could not contact how can it had been completed when vrbo could not even have the professionalism or decency to respond to we had no response to our customers complaint and concern's we are totally shocked disappointed and disgusted that a company cannot deem to have any customer service at all We will await reply to this to see how to take this forward
