Thanks for staying with us! Fall is a great time to be on the water in Beaufort, especially with the wildlife in the creek and ponies on the far shore. Fall sunsets are the best..
Stan was an excellent host and this property is just amazing! We travel to Beaufort/Morehead City every year for our anniversary, and this waterfront cottage did not disappoint. Nice new dock with a cleaning station and the views from the second story deck were just phenomenal! We had great fishing, got to see the dolphins and ponies, and truly didn’t want for a thing! Outstanding place to stay and we can’t wait to go back!
We absolutely loved our stay! Stan was incredibly responsive, and the house was truly perfect. It had everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable, well-appointed bedrooms. The inside was amazing, but the real bonus was the dock! We were able to put our boat in and dock overnight, then took a quick 5-minute ride up Front Street to all the shops and restaurants. It couldn’t have been more convenient. We will absolutely be staying here again!
What a gem. We had an amazing time, just so relaxing and such incredible views. We will be back for sure. Owner was available for anything we needed the entire time. Bring your boat and enjoy!
We had a fabulous time. The pictures don’t do this home justice! Stunning views! Stan was very helpful and communicated with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was perfect! We will definitely stay here again.
Our stay could not have been better. Lovely house, fabulous views of the water (and horses) from inside the house, very comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood, felt very safe. Loved exploring (and shopping) in Beaufort. We were there during "Erin", which had little to no impact on us. Couple of extra high tides, which caused some really minor road flooding. Certainly would choose this house again!
Family trip down to our beloved Beaufort. House was wonderful in layout, location, and amenities. Dock was in great shape and upper house deck views captured us every night. Would definitely go back.
Our stay was excellent. It's a great location and was the perfect lay out for our family. We enjoyed the house and found it very comfortable and cozy. Beautiful views of the water and beyond especially from the upper deck. We look forward to returning.

Thanks for your kind thoughts. The abundance of nature right in your face is the reason I bought the place back in 2001. The new dock makes boating very convenient and easy.
Loved the location. The view was amazing and we saw many dolphins as well as horses.
Owner checked in with us several time to see if we needed anything.
We’ll definitely go back.

About the host
Hosted by Stan Breakell
We fell in love with this town while dropping our oldest son off at Camp Seagull in 2001. We have brought our 4 boys here since then and they have all grown up loving Beaufort as well. 5 of us got certified for scuba here at Discovery Dive and we tend to make every vacation a diving opportunity. We hope to retire here one day-we finally got our boys out of college!!! We know you will fall in love with Beaufort too!
Why they chose this property
Carrot Island is right across the creek and you can watch the ponies and dolphins from almost any window. Private dock in backyard that does not even require you to cross the street!. 1 level living. Large windows and open floor plan bring the views all the way into the house. Deep water dock for serious boaters and sailors.
What makes this property unique
You can see the water from the front door all the way through the house. When you walk up the spiral staircase to the second floor deck you know you are living large!
