We are return guests and thoroughly enjoyed the lovely Beau-Tonic cottage, its location and all of the extras the hosts provide! It is also wonderful to be able to bring our fur baby too! We look forward to another visit!
We had a wonderful time at this cute house! We were there right after Christmas and the house was decorated and we got a welcome gift! The house is perfect for a family of five or six and has a fenced in back yard as well. It is super close to town and just a perfect place for a getaway!
Such a warm welcoming home and so close to historic downtown! The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. I look forward to a longer visit!
Lovingly updated bungalow is perfect for up to 6 people. It is beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home. Loved the tasteful Christmas decor! We’ll definitely stay again!
Just the comfort and location we were looking for!! Comfortable easy accommodations - with all the well thought out extras!!
Even the dogs loved the porch , back yard - and walking every street in downtown Beaufort.
Thank you for making us feel so welcome -
enjoyed the week!
We stayed here for my mom's 85th birthday getaway. The location is great, near the waterfront and main business district, and the house is beautifully decorated with an amazing collection of artwork, comfortable beds and other furniture, and a well-appointed kitchen. The back yard was also lovely and great for our dog.
The house was very cozy and well supplied. There was a nice welcome gift and card waiting for us in the dining area. The house was very clean for being pet friendly. We couldn't take advantage of the rockers on the front porch because of the surprise storm with blowing winds and driving rains. The neighborhood was very quiet and those we met (when we could finally sit on the porch) were friendly, We highly recommend staying here. Laurie is an excellent host and very attentive to your needs.
Five stars! We loved our weeklong stay here, as repeat visitors. Attractive, comfortable house in a perfect location in downtown Beaufort, walkable to all in-town activities. Perfect size for a family of 4. Homeowner is extremely responsive to any and all concerns. Look forward to our next visit.
Our first time staying at this lovely bungalow. Immediately felt at home and was very appreciative of the warm hospitality in each room, clearly the owners strive to leave a great impression with their guests which is very much appreciated and especially on our wedding weekend. Everyone was super impressed and we will surely book this property again!!
This property (and the host) exceeded our expectations in every way.
The location is IDEAL - perhaps 5 houses from the water and a five minute walk to downtown Beaufort with its shops, bars, and restaurants.
The property itself is WONDERFUL, craftsman-style bungalow that has been expanded and renovated - super welcoming and comfortable. The fenced-in backyard was immaculate and showed signs of recent landscaping.
The host put so much thought and love into the decor and provided lovely, welcoming touches that demonstrated such pride in the property. We felt like so much more than guests!
This spot will be our first (and only) choice when we head back to Beaufort.
We really enjoyed this property. It's a cozy house in a great neighborhood with quick access to Front Street restaurants. The host was very accommodating and quick to reply to messages. We're looking forward to another trip to Beaufort and would love to stay in this lovely home again.
Beau Tonic and the host provide the perfect Beaufort vacation! The single floor house, the location and the yard are all super for a getaway, and we enjoyed our stay so very much! It is wonderful to be able to bring the dog as well, and they even had a welcome gift upon arrival. We look forward to returning.
We stayed here for a weekend away. The house is adorable and had everything we needed. Clean and comfortable and the location was great. Downtown Beaufort was a quick and easy walk. We would definitely stay here again.
We travelled here for almost a week with my elderly parents, husband, and dog, and this house and kind host made it possible for us to have the most wonderful Christmas holiday together. There is not enough space for me to write all the good things that I want to say about staying here, so I'll summarize: wonderful helpful and kind communication with the host before and during the trip (including last minute accommodations for a late check out), beautiful house (even better than the photos!), so so so clean, had everything we needed in stock including clear labels and tips, comfortable porch and sitting area inside, big kitchen for family cooking, a big table for eating and playing games, and single level for my elderly parents (including a good railing at the back entrance for anyone mobility-impaired). Such a great location close to town and yet peaceful, also less than 1 block walk from the water - and the best part was there's a garbage can (dog poop) and a bench (elderly parents) right where the road intersects with the water, making many walks easy and possible.
Excellent communication with the owners and easiest check in and check out process ever. They even provided a complimentary bottle of wine and local snacks. Definitely recommend!
It was perfect all the way around. Communication with the property manager was excellent. The pictures don't do it justice as it was even better then advertised. I short walk to downtown and you have everything you need. We would certainly rent again.
My husband and I are from Durham, NC and currently live in Raleigh. We both grew up coming to the beaches in Carteret County and have always loved it. Our honeymoon was in Indian Beach and Beaufort has always been our happy place.
Why they chose this property
This is a peaceful, sunny home and you feel good as soon as you walk in the door. We've tried to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy and get the most out of your stay. It's perfect for a rest and rejuvenation break and equally as perfect for an active, full speed ahead vacation. Everyone is very friendly and there's always something to do. We love the small town feel of the area and the beautiful nature that surrounds us. It truly is our Beaufort Tonic and our small piece of paradise.
What makes this property unique
We love our front porch and many a bottle of wine has been consumed watching the horses on Carrot Island and the boats drifting down Taylor's Creek. We love being able to walk to Blue Moon, Aqua or Beaufort Grocery for dinner or down to the Dockhouse for some music. You won't want to miss the Beaufort Wine and Food Festival or the Summer Party hosted by the Beaufort Historical Association. Take a water taxi over to Shackleford or Bird Shoals and do some shelling. Atlantic Beach is just minutes away by car . The NC Maritime Museum is special and features all things related to Blackbeard the Pirate and Cape Lookout is breathtaking.
