Fantastic

We had such a great time! Everyone involved was just great! We stayed in San Ignacio for a couple of days, and Corrina actually came and had breakfast with us at the resort before we went to the villa, and answered any questions we had before we arrived! I can't compliment Marilyn enough! She was readily available to us on whatsapp, from long before our trip, and any time we needed her throughout our stay! She came through with great recommendations, and booked a couple excursions for us. She truly made the trip more enjoyable, and took a lot of worry out of our hands! (The catching us at the grocery on the way to the villa from secret beach was a pretty slick move!) Can't forget Dino! Hes just a great giy and we always enjoyed the boat rides, and he was on top of the maintenance of the property. We loved the villa! It was exactly as advertised, and was more than enough room for our group of 8. It was the people that really made the property stand out though! Thank you for helping us with an unforgettable trip!

The Staff Make it a Great Vacation!!!

You expect to have a great vacation when going to Belize, but you can't expect the staff to be the best part. Dino (the caretaker) is always there to help you no matter how early or late and goes out of his way to give you whatever makes your stay more fun. Corrina (CoCo) is fun with a personality that makes your day brighter. Corrina is always there to set up whatever excursions you want, and recommends the best places to eat. The house is beautiful, and was perfect for the 3 families (11 total people) we had staying there. Every room was wonderful, the pool was the perfect place for everyone to hang out and talk. Dino's dad took us out for a day of fishing that was a blast! Edgar was one of the guides that took us out snorkeling, and I would definitely recommend that trip! Swimming with the sharks and rays, and then seeing the beautiful sea life on the reef. The best advice I can give is to listen to Corrina and Dino, because they will never lead you astray. No matter what I write or say there is no words to describe how great this vacation was!!! You have to experience it to believe it!!!

Great Stay in Playa Villa 2

Our 12 family and friends had a wonderful time celebrating at Playa Villa. It was our first time in Belize and we are so glad we chose this property to serve as our base for all of the fun San Pedro and Ambergris had to offer. I'll start off with things that need to be taken into consideration by other travelers. To start we were double booked for the first night which we didn't find out about until the night before we were set to arrive. I did read another review that this happened previously. Hopefully they can figure out how to keep this from happening again in the future. They put us up in the next door hotel for the first night and transported our bags over to the house in the morning. The biggest bummer about the property was WIFI. It was nearly non existent throughout the trip. If you require WIFI access to work remotely I highly recommend that you get a hotspot prior to arrival. There are no blackout or even semi-blackout curtains in the bedrooms. The morning light pours in like a sledgehammer and makes sleeping in nearly impossible. If you like getting up early, great! If not, bring a sleeping mask. The pool attached to the house is not really a pool. It's a calf deep place to sit and cool down. Because the owner of the property also owns the next door hotel, you have access to their traditional pool which was a very welcome benefit. There are no mirrors or clothes storage in the four non-on suite bedrooms. Just beds and night stands. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. Now the good stuff. Staff support was great. Solany the house person helped coordinate our stay from start to finish. She also helped coordinate picking up groceries prior to heading over. We did most of our excursion coordination with the next door hotel manager. Every excursion they set us up with (diving, snorkeling, fishing, etc.) was fantastic and the highlight of the trip. Dino the boat driver was extremely responsive to special requests that did not line up with the regular shuttle times. I highly recommend hiring Chef Terressa with Island Chef. She cooked two wonderful meals each day at a very affordable rate. Coordinating the menu with her was very easy and she accommodated multiple dietary restrictions. The massages at the hotel are a must! The entire island is quiet and at no time did we feel unsafe. The house had more than enough space for all 12 of us. We all would highly recommend this property to anyone interested.

The PERFECT trip & such a great location! The staff is amazing.

My husband & I stayed here with eight of our friends (10 total) to celebrate our 40th birthdays & it did not disappoint! We've stayed at Victoria House before & so this location was quite different, but it was perfect!! Honestly, the 2 minute water taxi ride to town with Dino is so easy & convenient. Corinna was amazing & super helpful with everything from scheduling our island flights to booking massage therapists to come to the house one morning. There were constantly people working on the grounds & the housekeeping service was excellent each day. We had groceries delivered the day we arrived & scheduled a chef to make dinner two different nights. Terressa the chef did such a wonderful job! The food was exceptional & exactly what we had asked for. She even owns the new restaurant next door to the house & we went there for breakfast one morning. Again, delicious. Our entire group had the very best time & I would not have changed a thing!

Very Disappointing Booking!!!

I booked the 6 bedroom Villa for a visit 6/4-6/7/17 for a Corporate Retreat consisting of 6 associates from my firm. The booking process went smoothly and everyone was extremely excited to visit Belize. Upon arrival at the Villa, Corrina pulled me aside to let me know she had accidently "double-booked" the 6 bedroom Villa (it was already occupied) and could we stay in the 4 bedroom Villa and were any of the associates "couples"? They weren't, so "bunking together" really wasn't an option. We were offered an additional 2 bedrooms in a house behind the 2 beachfront houses (there were also other people living in that house). The highlight of the trip, other than Belize being beautiful, was Dino, who is awesome and fun and friendly as well as our Chef - the food was delicious. This was an incredibly disappointing experience for our group and nothing was done to rectify the situation. I would not book this particular property again.

Absolutely amazing time

First time to Belize and this was the perfect place to be....a short boat ride across the lagoon and you are right smack in the middle of San Pedro...with the golf carts parked at the dock you could go anywhere in no time....wonderful restaurants, shopping and sightseeing! The luxurious Villa was beyond expectations...we were three couples and each had our own beautiful bedroom with ensuite......Corrina the fantastic hostess had every last detail looked after including the fridge stocked when we arrived....thanks also for looking after our day excursions....the boat trip to "secret beach" was fabulous! Relaxing at the villas was awesome....just lounging poolside with a good book, soaking up the sun, gazing at the water, sand and blue sky....magical...it can't get any better....what a stunning location so peaceful and quiet! It was my 65 birthday and I was surprised by an amazing dinner party with Chef Theresa and Kevin cooking up an incredible seafood feast....wonderful to be spoiled and highly recommend them! Dino.....raking the beach at 6 in the morning...captain of the "taxi boat" at any time of the day....even at 9 in the evening picking us up after dinner in San Pedro.....you are the best! The villa is very clean, well maintained and the maids do a terrific job of the daily housekeeping. Thank you everyone for a fantabulous time and unforgettable memories.....you treated us like "family" and we hope to return to your "paradise" again some day!

Best Vacay Ever!

We chose this destination for not only the stunning homes but the amazing reviews we had read on here and TripAdvisor....the villas, Corrina and Dino exceeded our expectations! Not only are the homes stunning and the nicest I have seen in Belize (I vacay in Belize a lot!) but the integrity and dedication of the staff is like nothing I have ever experienced throughout all of my travels...superior service on all levels. Chefs' Terressa and Kevin prepared some of the best dishes I have ever had on the island ...nowhere can you feed a group of 12 a gourmet meal for $250 plus the cost of ingredients! Are you kidding me???! Also, Corrina went above and beyond in so many ways setting us up with the best excursion ever.... the YOLO day sail/snorkel! She arranged for our golf carts to be delivered to us, she reserved our dinners, and created a most epic vacation for us...I didn't have to do anything because she took care of every little detail....she also lives next door to the property now and is such a little ray of sunshine..refreshing to say the least. Dino is a machine..and so friendly...the two of them are a dynamic duo! We will never forget this trip and will definitely be returning! #youbettabelizeit !!!

Nice compared to other homes in the area

The home was set up nice for the number of people we had. The cooking utilities such as pots and pans were less then desirable but did the job. I was surprised there wasn't any other leftovers such as aluminum foil, sandwich bags, etc as most homes that we have stayed in have several of these items, in Hawaii they are called Aloha leftovers. My other issues was with Corina. I never did receive the itinerary for all the activities we had planned and relied a lot on Dino, the boat driver, to get a response from her. We would leave messages but not calls back, very frustrating. Dino, the boat driver, was assume. He was always there when we needed him and was very accommodating. We were very grateful for everything that he did for us.

Great house for all ages

I stayed at this house with my extended family, including Grandma, age 80 and my youngest age 2.5. The pool was perfect for little ones- my kids (ages 5 and 2.5) played in the pool all morning. The ocean is shallow with no waves and was perfect for little kids (and adults) splashing. However, the sand is sharp and full of seashells, pebbles and sea grass, so we wore our water shoes in the ocean. We did not swim in the ocean much. The house is large, rooms spacious. Be aware that the stairs are all cement with minimal railings, so my kids required supervision going up and down stairs. We utilized the grocery service, so groceries were at the house prior to our arrival- highly recommended. We used the chef service, which was wonderful, delicious food, but expensive. The total cost of the chef day for 7 adults +2 kids was $585- just to be aware when booking this service. Corrina coordinated our pickups/drop offs from the airport. She was very accessible when I was planning our stay, and even called me on the phone one time. Dino is the caretaker at the home and is always available to take you to town by boat. Most evenings we took the easy 5 minute boat ride to town for dinner. (easy for all, including Grandma and my 2 year old). We booked 2 trips ahead of time and No Worries Tours picked us up right from our dock- highly recommend them as well! It was definitely a long day of travel for us, but was worth it when we got to the house. We also stayed in Hopkins, which was much quieter town. The town of San Pedro has plenty of restaurants and tours available, while Hopkins was much more quiet. You could easily get to a cave tour on the mainland from San Pedro, it would just include a plane ride. We stayed at this house only 4 days, and I wish we'd stayed longer!

Friends vacation

This was our first trip to Belize. We went with a group of 12 great friends. We chose this VRBO because it is in a private area off the beaten path. It was amazing. Beautiful house with a great view. The best part was the personal attention given by CoCo and Dino. Anything you needed they were there for you. Not something you normally get with a VRBO. It truly was one of the best Vacations ever and we travel frequently. When we arrived all of our groceries we ordered from Theresa were delivered and put away as promised. Beer in the frig cold. I would recommend this service. The house itself was exactly as pictured . Perfect for a large group with a open concept and plenty of seating for all. Bedrooms were very large and all had access to the deck. I will definitely be returning to this beautiful place.

The property is as promised!

As soon as you get off the boat, you are in a gorgeous, isolated retreat. We rented Playa Villa's 1, 2, and 3 for my wedding from May 25th to May 29th. 30 people in total! We were so impressed by the service and facilities--everything was just as promised. We got married just in front of these Villa's and the pictures are amazing. Corrina was extremely helpful in getting us in contact with the best guides for snorkeling and deep-sea fishing. She even recommended our wedding planner. Dino, the caretaker, helped us fillet and grill the fish and was just a phone call away no matter where you were in town. The beds are comfortable, the ACs are cool, the pool table is great. There are big screen TVs in every villa (as if you'll want them) and the couches and chairs are comfy for sitting around and playing games. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space to have a great time. The pools (Villa 1 has a deep pool and a shallow infinity pool, Villa 2 has a gorgeous infinity pool, and Villa 3 offers a small hot-tub size pool on the roof to let you stay cool) are fantastic and the rooms are gargantuan. Take the canoes out for a trip around the lagoon or head into town for some great food. The ceviche at The Office (where you are picked up and dropped off from town) is AMAZING! The only issues we had were limited connectivity to the Internet in Villa's 1 and 3. Villa 2 generally had Wifi. Who needs Wifi when you have these views? If you're looking for a great deal, comfortable accommodations, beautiful views, and a wonderful adventure--look no further!

Best 50th Birthday Celebration Location

From inquiry to departures, Corrina was on it. With ALL of our arrival delays and staggered arrival times, Corrina still made sure she was there to greet each and every one of us with a smile. She made sure my quests and I (all 18 of us) were on schedule for everything we (thanks for helping with setting up EVERYTHING) had planned...tours, excursions, etc. And as you know, it's not easy coordinating 18 people! Dino, the property caretaker and water taxi driver, was there EVERY step of the way. One word for him, AMAZING...I don't think he ever sleeps! As for the villas (we occupied villas 1 and 2), the photos are teasers. They are just as described--All That and More! I can say all of my guests and I said this was one of the best vacays we have EVER had and we plan to visit again soon. Thank you Corrina and staff for such an AMAZING experience. Continued success to you! Oh, make sure you get your groceries ordered in advance. We LOVED having the kitchen stocked upon arrival. It made cooking, eating and drinking so much easier. We did make several trips to the market, but with 18 quests, that's to be expected. And, a BIG shout out to The Office. I won't spoil it for you...you'll know once you get there!

Great Place to Stay and Awesome Hospitality

We stayed at the Playa Villa 2 early November and loved it! There were 8 adults and we stayed there for 4 nights. The house was gorgeous and very clean and spacious. None of us have ever been to Belize before so we weren't sure how it was going to be and what we were going to do. Prior to the trip, Corrine gave us a list of excursions, to-dos, restaurants, and helped us planned our trip. She booked our flights and basically took care of all that we needed to do. When we arrived, she met us at the airport and took us around to get groceries and then took us to the house. We met Dino and he was equally as awesome as Corrina. He built us a fire when we needed, got food and drinks when we ran out, no matter what time he would come transport us back and forth from town. Whenever we had any questions, Corrina and Dino were there to help us out. They were so easy to talk to and really made us feel safe and comfortable. The gorgeous house along with Corrina and Dino, it really was like a home away from home. It was a great vacation and we would definitely go back and stay at the same house!

Great vacation and accomodations

We stayed at the villa for 8 nights over Thanksgiving. We had 12 people, 6 adults and 6 kids. The accommodations are exactly as shown/described. We were very impressed with the quality of the accomodations and enjoyed our stay very much. The villa has a pool in the front. The depth is quite shallow, mostly for wading, but we had several young children so it was perfect for us. We were able to use the pool to the adjacent villa for when we wanted to swim which was great, but may or may not always be available. Corrina, the property manager was great with coordinating our arrival/departure as well as assisting us with booking excursions. The private catamaran tour is a must. Dino, the caretaker was also a great help throughout our stay. He is onsite 24/7 and always accommodated our every need. He shuttled us to/from San Pedro as needed and was always available at a moments notice. The property is located on the lagoon side. We did not swim in the water itself, as it is quite rocky and shallow. We visited beaches in San Pedro as we desired. The only challenge to the location is access to restaurants and food. As mentioned, we ventured to San Pedro (2 minutes by boat) on many occasion to buy groceries and/or eat at a local restaurant. We also utilized the chef services recommended by Corrina (Belize Grocery/Lagniappe Provisions). They can provide grocery shopping as well as chef services. We utilized the latter. The food quality was excellent and well worth the price. Teresa and Kevin, the chefs, were great. If you are comfortable with being somewhat removed, this is a great villa. There were really no negatives to our trip. We had an excellent vacation and hope to visit again some day.

Wonderful vacation villa for a large group

Corrina was a fantastic host, surpassing our expectations with her concierge services as well. The villa was as pictured, clean and spacious for our group of eight. Dino, the caretaker on site, was ever available for boat rides into town, for last minute supplies and even for cleaning the fish we caught. Our family vacation to celebrate my dad's birthday was smooth and stress free due to all of Corrina's help in planning excursions including reef fishing and a private catamaran for snorkeling and sunset ceviches. We enjoyed cooking large meals for the whole group in the kitchen, as well as eating terrific meals by chef Theressa.
