Directly on the beach and facing the stunning turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, Plantacón De Suenos is a private 5 acre resort located 4.0 miles south of San Pedro Airport. Hibiscus House includes the use of the 5 bedroom private villa and integrated pool with 175 feet of beach with a dock. A short, 4 mile golf cart drive to town allows your party to enjoy all the restaurant, shopping and island life San Pedro has to offer, with lots of bars, restaurants and convenience stores in between. The house boasts 5 spacious bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom and private outdoor seating area for relaxing away from the group (see detailed configuration info below). Hibiscus House has two air-conditioned living areas: a downstairs open-floor living and dining Room, and a stunning upstairs living room, bar and game room with 360° views of the beautiful Caribbean, both with bi-folding doors that open fully to take in the beauty of the sea views.

You likely won’t want to leave the spacious outdoor living area with the huge pool that meanders through the ground-level architecture of the house, offering both the length for lap swimming as well as a lounge area with graduating height benches so everyone in your party can find the perfect seat to view the ocean while sitting in the cool water. The deck hosts a 12-seat outdoor dining table, Sunbrella-cushioned sectional with outdoor television, and access to a stainless propane grill to cook up memorable meals with your family or friends.

Inside, your party can gather for meals, cocktails or chatter around a massive raw-edge tropical hardwood (Jabim) island that seats 12, or enjoy elevated 360° views in the fully-windowed and large opening bifold doors overlooking the Caribbean. The upstairs living and game room, complete with an arcade table, shuffleboard and air hockey will help keep the whole group entertained.

Hibiscus House is fully stocked with small kitchen appliances such as a toaster, microwave, blender, and brewed coffee maker, dining ware for 18, bath and beach towels. All rooms have WiFi, TV and air conditioning. Four (4) of the five bedrooms have chairs or lounges that convert to a twin or child bed, and for wizards and muggles alike, there’s a “Harry Potter” twin bed beneath the stairs (open to room), as well as sofas* that covert to queen beds in both the up- and downstairs living rooms. *Downstairs is a sleeper sofa and upstairs is a LoveSac sectional that can be configured into a queen bed. The upstairs boasts a 18ft shuffle board table and a cocktail Arcade dual player that has 812 nostalgic games like pac man and astroids. In addition to the ensuite bathrooms, each living room has a day-use bathroom for a total of 7 bathrooms in the house.

You can celebrate on the beach, dock or deck areas, and we can point you in the right direction for caterers, photographers, videographers, DJ's, cakes, flowers, officiants or anything else you might need to make amazing memories of your event.

Hibiscus House configuration

Hibiscus House is a two-story villa with striking indoor and outdoor communal gathering areas, balanced with spacious bedrooms, all with Caribbean views, and deliberately designed to offer private restoration spaces. When not enjoying the stunning outdoor pool living area, the house offers two living rooms, both with bi-folding window doors opening to the ocean: a ground-level living, kitchen, and dining area and an upstairs living/game room. The house can sleep up to a maximum of 18 guests with 5 bedrooms, 7 baths, and supplemental beds. If you'd like to have more than 18 guests, please contact the owner (Pat), you will need to make the arrangement and get approval in writing. Here is how the sleeping arrangements break out:

The main (downstairs) floor has two (2) bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, plus supplemental beds for 4 (sleeps max 8).

There is a bathroom off of the living room with a shower that will accommodate those sleeping in the lower living room.

The second floor has three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, two of which have arm chairs that convert to twin beds. All upstairs bedrooms have private decks. The upstairs living room sofa converts to a queen bed (sleeps max 10)

We have a House Manager that can help you with anything from concierge service to arranging tours. We also have a full-time cook for an extra fee. Please inquire.

Our neighborhood in South Ambergris Caye is in one of the nicest and most peaceful neighborhoods on the island, situated directly on the ocean and among other private homes and lots. The villa is under protection of the South Ambergris Caye Neighborhood Watch. This provides our guests with extra private security patrols. Plantación de Sueños hosts a total of 3 vacation rental homes: Villa Mandevilla, Hibiscus House and Hollow Tree Casita. Subject to availability, the houses can be rented together for your large group destination gathering.
