This 5-bedroom retreat surrounded by Tahoe’s lofty pines in Kings Beach is close to EVERYTHING - whether you enjoy summer activities on the lake or winter festivities, you’re in the center of it all! There is a 2-night minimum on Weekends and some weekdays.

As you walk in the front door, you'll instantly feel the charm and warmth of this mountain cabin. On the upper level you’ll find a spacious open kitchen with eating bar for 2, dining room with seating for 8 (but can add chairs from deck), living room with gas burning fireplace surrounded by beautiful river rock and a large upper deck where you can enjoy the mountain and lake views while barbecuing or just relaxing. Also, upstairs is the master suite (king bed) and master bath with a luxury steam shower and deep, jetted 2-person tub - the perfect place to relax after a long day of skiing or hiking.

The lower level consists of four bedrooms and a continental bath with double sinks. For that little tyke, there is a built-in twin bed tucked away under the stairs. Also on the lower level is a family room equipped with a pool table (not regulation size), TV, hide-a-bed couch (full size). Walk out to the lower-level deck to relax and unwind in the hot tub (seats six), while enjoying nature’s wonderland. Laundry facilities are also on this level.

The perfect home base for fun-filled days and evenings, you will feel right at home here, and the amenities, location, and decor of this cabin will compliment your vacation in North Lake Tahoe.

Several beach chairs are available to use on the beach. Friday nights during the summer there is Music on the Beach at Kings Beach. During winter there are a couple of snow saucers for you to enjoy.

To clarify (VRBO is unable to access to change and remove the word lakeside) the cabin is not lakeside. I am working on changing with VRBO. It is one mile from the beach of Lake Tahoe. There is a lake filtered view. There are electric bear wires for your safety. Please do not touch the electric bear wires. They are on the outside stairs (not where you access) and also on the outside of the downstairs bedroom windows.

We absolutely loved our stay here!! The house was straight out of the 90s and we loved everything about it. It was very spacious, the beds were comfy, the kitchen was extremely stocked up. There was spare snow gear if you needed and tons of sleds to play on. The house had a slope that was perfect for sledding. The hot tub being covered on a patio was great! We didn’t have to battle slipping and sliding through the snow to get in. We would 100% book this property again. We couldn’t get the keurig machine to work but that was the only issue but they had another coffee pot that worked just fine. 12/10 recommend booming this property for next family stay.

great northstar stay

We had a great time staying here and skiing at Northstar which is only a few minutes away. Well stocked kitchen and towels for a large group, and easy communication with the host. Would be nice to have some extra shovels for the snowy season to dig out the driveway, but otherwise a great cabin!

We enjoyed Kathy's place, even when the snow turned to rain and we could not get in as much skiing as we wished. The chalet includes a hot tub and a pool table... which made "staying in" just perfect.

Cozy chalet with hot tub!

Our group of seven really enjoyed the chalet's offerings -- five bedrooms and common spaces (pool table and hot tub downstairs, kitchen and tv/game area upstairs.) The kitchen is well-stocked with appliances, pans and pots... so that cooking family dinners was easy. The property is close to the road -- so it allowed for easy access to the various ski resorts around the lake. Many thanks! We will be back.

Beautiful cabin close to town

This home was perfect for my family reunion as it was very close to the water with all of the attractions and great food. The inside is very charming with a beautiful deck. I would highly recommend this home as it fit well for my cousins who had never been to the lake!

Cozy, clean cabin with hot tub and steam shower!

Stayed two nights in early March to catch some snow before the season was over. Got lucky as it snowed over night on our first night which made for fun sledding and snow activities by the side of the house Saturday morning. Close to Truckee, North Star, and the Lake, it’s a great spot to call your base. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and everything looked and felt clean. Bonus: The hot tub at the patio, the deep jetted tub and steam shower in the master bedroom are sure to make this trip special for those who seek spa time. Lastly, but probably most impactful was Kathy, our host. Kathy is super responsive, and a great resource for activities in the area. She approved our reservation within 5 minutes of submitting, she sent me a welcome package with all the information needed for our stay, she followed up with me on text to make sure I received all the information. She text me during our stay to checkin and see how we were doing and if I had any questions. She recommended going to Sand Harbor for a gorgeous view of the lake which was a gem of a place I had not been to before. It felt like I was staying at a friends house. Kathy has this dialed in. I highly recommend staying at Lakeview Chalet!

Great Cabin, something for everyone!

Everything was great! The check-in process was seamless, the instructions were clear, the place was well-stocked with everything you need, everything worked properly! Close to the ski slopes, lake shore parks and the casinos! I got a little confused with the hot tub controls and the light switches in the house, but figured it out. I would definitely stay again

Lifesaving cabin, great for big groups!

High recommend this location for large groups - the cabin is clean and spacious and it had everything we needed from extra towels and beddings to the hot tub and a full collection of board games (in master bedroom closet). Location is close to Northstar and the lake (as well as the local gas stations, Safeway and food places. We originally planned to only stay for one night but the snowstorm trapped us in Truckee. The owners were quick to respond to our inquiry for an extended stay and graciously let us back into their home - lifesavers, thank you!

Lovely cozy house

The house was lovely once we were able to get in it, just unfortunately realized once it was too late that we didn’t have keypad access to enter the night of our arrival. Make sure you get keypad access code from the owner in advance. Objectively, the house itself is beautiful and cozy and the amenities were lovely to enjoy. Despite reaching a somewhat acceptable agreement with the owner, not so sure I want to ever use VRBO again after losing hours of sleep to trying to get through to customer service... still feel a bit burned from the whole experience.

Amazing cabin with everything you need.

The home is beautiful. It really looks like a log cabin. The home has the main entrance separate to remove items and go upstairs. This home has every kitchen supplies you will need. Knifes, forks, pans, pots, cups you name it. The home has towels and extra blankets. We stayed with three families and all families had children. The upstairs master has a full closet full of games and movies. Definitely coming back for snow. The home was within 10 minutes to the lake.
