We loved our stay at the Lakeview Serenity Cottage. The house has a beautiful view of the lake and the location is perfect. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and a really nice fireplace that made it living room so cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub and the walks around the neighborhood. Murat, our host, was super accommodating and responsive. We highly recommend this place and hope to come back soon.
This place had a stunning view of the lake. Beds and couches were comfy. Kitchen was fully stocked. Hot tub was hot and ready when we got there. Fireplace was easy to use and very effective at heating the place, plus there was central heat. Overall super cozy and nice!
Comfortable well decorated cottage with two upstairs bedroom and one downstairs bedroom. Lovely views of the lake and easy to get to town. Nice hot tub below the deck. Strong internet for those of us that had to work. Only slight downside was the limited lighting in the kitchen (admittedly we may have missed a switch).
Great location central to both kings beach and incline village with the cutest vibe. Things didn’t feel the cleanest, but that was our only complaint. Everything else was great.
We had a great trip. The house was furnished nicely, clean and well equipped. The view was great and location perfect. Host was responsive and professional. Highly recommend. Thank you for letting us stay there. Jennifer Matto
Property is in a great location to explore Tahoe's North Shore. Other than that I wasn't impressed with the comfort or amenities. The pans were so old and worn there wasn't any Teflon left. We went and bought a frying pan so we could cook. The living rm chairs and sofa were very uncomfortable so we couldn't lounge to read or watch TV. The BBQ wouldn't light, so had to use a match and candle provided to light it. If the management would go thru and take care of some these things it would be worthy of the price charged.
Comfortable, Great for Small Groups Beautiful View
Lakeview Serenity Cottage delivers on its name. It's a beautiful property in a central and convenient location that is easy to access, super comfortable for small groups and has an absolutely stunning view of Lake Tahoe and the pines. We loved sitting in the living room area with the fire on and looking out at the lake. The hosts were communicative and the check in and check out process was seamless. The place was super clean and had everything we would need for a relaxing long weekend, including the lovely hot tub. We would absolutely stay here again!
We stayed 4 nights. We enjoyed the hot tub, the location was central for us and we love the area of Kings Beach and Incline village. There were a few puzzles and many movie/tv options to utilize when hanging out. There are fans in each bedroom. The basics are there, but the property does need some attention. There is an ant problem. Maybe this is seasonal, but it is significant and in every room. The owner did quickly respond to a request for ant traps, A visit from the owner would likely remedy short comings. Surface wise the property was clean, but we found extra blankets to be dirty, chairs soiled, walls and doors dirty and scuffed. No extra pillowcases. There are not curtains or shades in the living area so summer sun beats in. Overall a bit worn. Attention to little tings would make a difference.
The picture window in the living room is very rewarding...the kitchen is modern and stocked with everything you'd ever need, but there's tons of wood rafters and trim and comfy furniture to make you feel SOOOOO home. Gas fireplace and hot tub were an breeze to operate!

Somewhat Disappointing - 3 out of 5 Stars
The house was generally clean and had the basic amenities needed for our stay, but for the price charged ($618 per day) we expected to find better conditions.
The house is located in a quiet location, but is situated on a very steep slope that was not evident in either the description or pictures posted. The very narrow and steep steps make it very difficult for most older and/or physically challenged guests to access. The description should clearly state this this house is mainly suited for fully physically able guests under the age of 50. Our party consisted of three people in their upper 50;s to late 60's who struggled not to fall on the steps from the parking area above to the house levels below.
The somewhat slippery tubs/showers in the bathrooms also had no slip resistant surfaces or grab bars.
The description said that parking was limited to two vehicles, but did not say that one of those spaces (the garage) could only fit a compact or smaller vehicle. Our mid-sized car was several inches too long to fit into the garage. Fortunately we only brought one car that barely fit in the outside space.
The interior of the house was clean, but the outsides of the windows had spider webs that were not removed, and swarming ants just outside the front door upon our arrival.
The kitchen area was clean, but spelled badly of rotting fish in and around the sink area. We only were able to eliminate the oder by carefully cleaning and disinfecting the garbage disposal. Days later we noticed that the outside bear proof garbage box also was packed with mountains of rotting fish smelling materials which convinced us that the previous guests must have been cleaning fish in the kitchen, and tossing the detritus in the outside box.
Aa a result we hardly attempted to use much, if any, of the kitchen area.
The beds were comfortable, but the living room furniture and outside seating were rather old and dated, The house seemed to still have many furnishings from the 1950's or earlier.
We only tried to use the hot tub once, as it was set at a scorching temperature of 109 degrees, and we could find no way of reducing the heat. No instructions seemed to be provided., other than to add a spoon of powder after each use.
The Park Lane road leading up to the house is quite steep and narrow, and offers just one way in and out, in case of any emergencies. The turn onto it from Highway 28 below is poorly marked, and a bit scary.
3 out of 5 stars
My adult family of 6 stayed here and really loved the house. The views were awesome, kitchen stocked, hot tub new, and in close proximity to Kings Beach and Incline Village. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I rented this property for our anniversary and had a wonderful time! The views are beautiful from the deck, it was incredibly peaceful and quiet in the neighborhood. Close to everything we needed in Kings Beach. The home was very clean and the perfect size for us. We could have brought the whole family and still been comfortable. Host was very responsive and accommodated a late check out for us as well. Thanks for having us, looking forward to returning!
My sisters and I stayed the weekend before Thanksgiving. Even though there was NO snow, we enjoyed our visit. I'd never stayed in Brockway before, the home has a view of the lake which we enjoyed during our meals at the dining room table and our morning coffee and afternoon happy hour on the deck.
The furnishings are comfortable but not new.
The entire home was fairly clean, just a few dust bunnies.
I stayed in the downstairs room and made sure the heater was on, although the fireplace does a great job of heating the entire downstairs.
We used the hot tub located outdoors at the lower level using caution to get down the stairs after sunset.
The key lock was a little tricky to get in but we managed.
The street is a quick turn off the main highway so luckily traffic wasn't as busy as it normally can be.
The restaurants (Jakes on the Lake and Garwoods) were an easy drive from the home and service is excellent!
The Property Manager called to check that we were comfortably settled in.
We will return.
