This place was everything that we needed. Kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals. The pool was a stand out and the backyard landscaping was lovely. Great spot with an amazing private (and quiet) pool, and an easy walk to the beach. Perfect for our family of 3, but also would have scaled comfortably for up to 5 or 6 people. Beach access is across the street and roughly 100m away. The beach itself is also quiet - a HUGE contrast to the tourist swarmed Tamarindo. Close to a great scuba dive center, restauarsnts, sodas, markets, and other amenities.

This is a great property! It’s well stocked, well kept and very enjoyable place to stay! The kitchen had everything we needed for light cooking. It was very clean and comfortable. The lanai and pool were perfect for relaxing days! The owner was very responsive to questions before our trip, and the property manager was helpful and accessible during our stay. Also, the owner provided lots of very helpful I information about the property and the local area. We highly recommend this property!

This was a gem that had absolutely every comfort of your own home. Beach chairs & towels, to-go cups, every kitchen utensil, basic spices, flashlights and more and more. Communication was seamless with owners and property mgmt company. And the pool is larger than it appears in the pictures - it was perfect.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this home in Playa Potrero. From the moment we arrived, it exceeded our expectations. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush, well-designed gardens that create a peaceful and private atmosphere. The pool was a highlight for us and quickly became part of our daily routine, it’s perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach.The house itself is very spacious, even for just the two of us, and never felt cramped. Everything was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. We especially appreciated the beach toys and gear provided at the house, which we used almost every day and made our beach time even more enjoyable.This home truly felt like a retreat, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Great return visit!

This was our second stay at Casa Columbine and everything was wonderful, just as before! The location is great for short drives to other beaches (since Potrero is a little too rocky for our kids), especially Flamingo and Prieta. Great restaurants near by as well!

I fell in love with Costa Rica during my first visit here in 2005. Casa Columbine is named after the state flower of Colorado, and is a life long dream come t0 have my very own beach home! I first visited Potrero in February 2015, and from the first view of the bay from Las Brisas Bar, and throughout my week here, it felt right. There is a laid-back, authentic, quiet, and friendly feeling to this place that is so refreshing.
