All Right for the Right Guests

This cottage was very clean and well equipped, comfortably air conditioned and perfect for adults and children without disabilities. Unfortunately, we had an elderly person who needed railings on the entry stairs, and a disabled child at risk of elopement, so the nearby highway was a hazard. Would prefer instructions in a pamphlet, not on small type on the wall. Only full-sized beds, not larger as advertised, and one mattress needed to be replaced.

Loved everything about the trip except, this is the first VRBO stay where there wasn't hand soap in the bathroom, paper towels, a dustpan and the WIFI was terrible. It didn't diminish the fun we had but it's the little things you take for granted.

The listing was inaccurate. It states that one room has a king size bed and the other room has 2 queen. All three beds were full size. One of the beds was broken at the foot of the bed.The sheets and pillows were dirty. The bath tub was gross. We went to the store and bought soft acrub to clean below using.

Inaccurate and poor internet connection

Bedroom descriptions are inaccurate- there are no king or queen beds.The mini splits in the bedroom worked but not fully. I would turn it to 66 and was still sweating through the night. Some things throughout the property are not well cared for (items in the bathroom broken and an outlet didn’t work)The internet is incredibly unreliable. There are options to connect to but even if you are connected to the correct one (per property manager) it continuously would kick us off. We weren’t there to watch tv all day, but for example- when we watched a 2 hour movie, we had to reconnect to the internet at least 4 times. We had to disconnect our phone and a laptop just to help keep the tv connected. The property manager was very helpful and responsive. She did help with the internet initially but once connected to the appropriate network- it was still a crappy connection. She also provided a hair dryer to replace the broken one. Was very communicative when we lost power for 4 hours during a storm. I did ask for some sort of refund given all these issues but it was declined. Given the option I would not return to this property given how much we paid for such a poor to moderately managed property.

Cozy, clean, and private

Very cute, clean condo in a peaceful area of town. The are several homes surrounding the property but you wouldn't know it. Very quiet and private. Host was accommodating to the fact we couldn't get the till the middle of the night, and reassured us he was there if we needed anything. We enjoyed making s'mores by the fire pit, little disappointed the grill wasn't in good enough condition use. I would definitely stay at this property again!

Great place for families

My family & I really enjoyed our stay at the Sawyer house. The owner was great to communicate with and the property was clean and updated and conveniently located just a few minutes from the beach. There is a lot to do in the area and surrounding cities, I would definitely book again!

We enjoyed our stay here which was about four days. It's close to Warren Dunes park, Sawyer and the Lake Michigan beaches. When we first pulled up, the outside looked a bit run down, but the inside is fantastic. We found the two parking spots to be sufficient and there was also a gravel drive for our day guests to use.
