Southern exposure in this home perched up over the Mt Mitchell Golf Course's signature 14th green makes for a bright and cheerful location to enjoy the peace and quiet of mountain living. This is a spacious home with a very special master suite on the main level, hidden away from the rest of the home. In the lower level, two more beautifully decorated rooms and full bath make guests perfectly comfortable. Big eat-in kitchen with all the features of home for cozy little lunch or breakfast, and large spacious dining area in the main room for larger groups. This home has every comfort you need to enjoy your mountain vacation. Paved street, and room for two or three cars in the driveway.

Tranquility

The area and atmosphere are so peaceful and the owner provided every convenience needed. Loved the two open decks. Plenty of storage and optimum necessities. Will certainly want a return trip.

Fantastic Family Getaway

We all loved this beautiful home nestled on the mountainside near the river. The house itself offers an array of activities; books, games, kitchen, view, fire options. Walking to the river and admiring the brook trout, crawfish, and other nature was an afternoon delight. Several hiking options nearby- Roaring Fork Falls a must do. Also enjoyed Burnsville for the shops; Hammond Antiques, Something Special, then Hog Hollow for beer and pizza. One of our favorite family trips.

Great base near Mt. Mitchell

Lovely house and comfortable beds. Kitchen well stocked. Hot tub was the best part. Some fixtures and wall details dated and could use a face lift but overall was a great place to stay to mountain bike in Old Fort and hike at Mt Mitchell.
