Tastefully decorated, loft-style apartment in Grass Valley. 575 sq ft, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with kitchen and private outdoor covered deck area for your enjoyment. Perfect for one or two people.
We are 3/4 of a mile to downtown Grass Valley and about the same to the Nevada County Fairgrounds. We are close to Condon Park which is great for a morning walk or run.

This ADU behind our home is available for bookings of 30 days or more.

1 bedroom with king size bed and 1 bathroom with private outdoor, covered deck. This space is fresh & modern. Full kitchen, wireless Internet and Fubo TV for your enjoyment. Butler Place is equipped with central HVAC. We have a laundry room in our home that we will happily share with you at least once a week.
This apartment is located behind our house in Grass Valley. We are a 3/4 mile walk to downtown and 3/4 mile walk to the fairgrounds.

We welcome all quiet and respectful guests. This cottage is not a venue and it is not a place for gatherings. We maintain a strict NO SMOKING policy on the property. If you are a smoker, we kindly ask you do not stay here.

Adorable and roomy space in a safe environment

Butler Place had everything we needed, and was easy to find and use. Everything worked well - especially the heater. The place got really warm almost instantly after we returned from frolicking around on a cold, holiday night.

Super cute!

I truly enjoyed my stay at Justin’s property. Super cute updated property. It was especially relaxing on the upper deck off the living room having a cup of tea in the morning surrounded by the sounds of nature. The downtown area was very charming with different shops and restaurants. I loved eating at the Mediterranean restaurant and the chocolate shop has the best sea salt gelato! Justin has thought of everything to make for a comfortable, safe and pleasant stay. I would absolutely choose to stay at his location again.

Thank you Justin. We had a little trouble finding the place because the Vrbo site was having problems and we didn't receive the information from them but aside from that everything was fabulous. Butler Place is in a great location, was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything anyone could need. Thank you so much for a great stay.

Amazing stylish private accommodation in the heart of Grass Valley! Wonderful Stay!!

Love this property so much! Stylish, super clean, well stocked with anything we needed but my favorite aspect was how private it was from the back deck and windows inside! Stunning property! We will definitely stay there again on our next visit from Georgia!!

Perfect for Our Trip

It's a good thing that Nevada City was all booked, since it lead us to discover charming Grass Valley for a last min river trip! Very considerate VRBO with all the nice details, clean, quiet, comfortable, well functioning AC, and a lovely back porch to drink your coffee on to boot. Couldn't recommend this property more, we loved how walkable it was to downtown Grass Valley. 10/10!

Best VRBO We've Ever Stayed At

We absolutely loved our stay! Location was perfect for doing things in both Grass Valley and Nevada City. It's clean, cozy, comfy, quiet and modern. Anything we could possibly need was in the unit: kitchen tools, sound machine, snack basket, earplugs, blow dryer...and the list goes on. Hands down the best VRBO we've ever stayed at! My husband said, "you did good" 😊 we loved the property. So quiet and peaceful. The neighborhood is beautiful and the property is super clean and tastefully decorated. We always travel with our own coffee supplies (we take our coffee very seriously) but we were very surprised at how well stocked the kitchen is. We will definitely be back and recommend to our family and friends.

We purchased this property in 2014 and renovated the cottage later that year.
Justin is a voice over actor and has worked on thousands of media projects throughout the years. He also works with a local property management company and holds a California real estate broker license.
Aldo also works locally with Barrett Property Management and is a licensed real estate salesperson.
We both love to travel and we both agree that Maui is our favorite place to travel to.

Why they chose this property

I (Justin) grew up here in Grass Valley. I moved away after finishing community college and never thought I would come back. 2012, after selling our home in Houston, we were looking for places to live and I began looking at places for sale in Grass Valley. I wanted to live in town and be walking distance to the downtown area. We found this property and I fell in love with the location. It was a TOTAL gut-job-remodel. All that hard work, blood, sweat and, yes, tears, was worth it.

What makes this property unique

We LOVE that our place is so close to downtown Grass Valley, the Nevada County Fairgrounds and Condon Park.
The cottage is behind the main house and remains private.
