The Mom House

This location was exactly what we needed! Our church was attending camp in the area, but we needed a place for the moms with kids to have some space and be able to get away from the camp craziness. The house was spacious with lots of windows and natural lighting. The area was beautifully green, quiet, and peaceful. It was a great stay!

Near Talimena Scenic Byway

We stayed at the property while enjoying the Talimena Scenic Byway. It was approximately 35 miles from Talihina OK but was easy to get to where we wanted to be for the drive. The property was clean and comfortable and the property owners checked in with us twice by text to make sure that we had everything that we needed. I would recommend this property!

Off-roader Friendly-Very Spacious

Plenty of parking for large trailers/rigs. We were able to use field next to carport. 3 carports with power available (bring 75’+) extension cord. Excellent outdoor grilling area in gazebo with great large gas grill. Relaxing evenings around well furnished frie pit. The largest rental in town with ample sleeping space. Fully stocked kitchen and plenty of linens. Friends stayed at COI and stopped by and could not believe how big our place was. The owner is the sweetest and easily reachable for any questions and very accommodating. We will be staying there any time we come back to Green Acres.

Comfortable, Clean, and Quiet

Everything was clean and tidy. Plenty of towels, trash bags, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper which are things we tend to go through a lot of with 7 vacationers at once so it was very nice to not have to worry about running to the store to get more. The things we missed were measuring cups/spoons and casserole dishes. The kitchen had the bare basic plates, bowls, utensils, a couple pots, a couple skillets, and a couple baking sheets. We expected a few more basic kitchen items to be available. Part of what we loved was the quiet country location, however when arriving after dark the property is difficult to see. A reflective numbering on the mail box, or even some solar garden lights somewhere would go a long way aid in illuminating the driveway/house entrance.

The property was beautiful. The inside was redone and matched the photos. While it was warm, and we didn’t use the fire pit, the outdoor space was large enough for extended family who came over one evening. Close to the Choctaw Nation.

Wonderful property! It was clean and very pleasant stay. We just stayed at the house the whole time due to how hot it is right now, but it was perfect. The kids had a blast. We want to come back during the fall or just when it is cooler to enjoy sitting outside more and explore more of the area.

Cozy home perfect for atv trip

This house was perfect for our family to spread out and relax after riding on the atv trails in Talimena state park. There was lots of room to park our trailers. We definitely will be back.

Great location and plenty of space for our group

This home in Clayton was perfectly situated with more than enough space for our group. We enjoyed the gazebo with BBQ, as well as the front porch in the morning for having tea and watching the sunrise. It was peaceful and quiet in the area too. Had a difficult time getting any of the windows to open, though, which would have been nice to let in some fresh air. Additionally, most windows had lots of cobwebs , which I understand form very quickly. We hope to return to this house when we have other family members with us.

Nice place for large family to stay. Nice but not fancy.

Stayed here with 6 children to enjoy SE Oklahoma. Plenty of room to sleep everyone in comfortable beds. Newer floors and nice furniture. Clean, but not immaculate. Had to kill a few spiders/bugs inside. Very peaceful, quiet location; you can enjoy listening to the birds chirping and a breeze flowing through the tall pines outside. Very close to beautiful Sardis Lake. We recommend the very nice beach at Potato Hill South for swimming, with a fishing pier nearby. If you want to spend time at a nice lake without crowds, it is the place to go. The start of the beautiful Talimena Scenic Byway is not too far away and quickly gets you up to great views from over 2000 feet. Plenty of tall hills throughout the region. Nice, helpful host who made it clear he was available if we needed anything.

Best spot to stay in the area!

This place is really nice, on a paved, dead end road, very quiet. Fire pit out side with ample seating. Interior is nicely updated and very functional. Lots of room for parking with easy access. We really had everything we needed, and then some! Its the nicest place to stay in, or around Clayton. The owner is very attentive and easy to talk to. Can't go wrong.
