Cosy fully renovated farmhouse in Gozo

Situated in Xewkija GOZO .
Only at 20 minutes car ferry from Malta. This quiet rustic 120 year old castle like house, has three double bedrooms en suite(one with bath and one with shower), all fully equipped with air conditioners. All three bedrooms overlook a private swimming pool (Extra shower by pool area) for people who enjoy tranquillity and peace. The house also offers a beautiful Roof terrace with wonderful views of citadel and the various churches around the island.This is truly enjoyed in summer with a bottle of wine complemented by the fireworks of the festas.
The closest sandy beach (Ramla bay) is 10 min by car, and there is an even closer pebble beach Mgarr Ix-xini nearby. The weather is great most of the times till November but with a bit of luck the winters can be mild too. In the main square of xewkija, it is possible to find many good restaurants should one want to go out to eat.

Absolutely gorgeous property, we loved our stay there. The house had everything we needed and the pool was wonderful, our daughters loved being able to swim whenever they wanted. Lovely area with nice restaurants a short walk away. Such a lovely place to have our family holiday, thank you.

As a family of 4 with 2 older teenagers, this property was perfect for us. Everyone had their own space, as well as large communal areas.Alexandra was a great host - super helpful and quick to respond to our queries and gave great advice on how to see a GP when our daughter had an ear infection.The pool was a welcome relief from the heatwave we encountered and the air-conditioning was a godsend - be sure to bring plenty of 1 and 2 euro coins with you.Xewkiya feels really safe and everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming - the property is a 5 minute stroll from everywhere in the village. We went to Ta'Saminu bakery most days for breakfast goods and something to bring out with us for the day.For bigger shops we drove to supermarkets in Victoria - either Green's or Lidl - (a 5/10 min drive)We ate out in the square in Xewkija most nights - there are plenty of options but Peppina's restaurant in the square is truly excellent.In terms of swimming spots - we loved Hondoc Bay, Mjarr Xi -Xini and Wied il-Ghasri.If you don't have a car, you could download the Bolt app - Gozo's Uber equivalent - really quick and reasonable.A fabulous holiday!

The house was incredible. It had everything we needed. The location was also great, as everything was max 15 minutes away. Alexandra was super helpful for some recommendations around the island. I would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in this property for 10 days, and any very minor issues were dealt with immediately by Alexandra, whose communication and responses were super fast. The property was just what we were looking for for our first trip to Gozo, which really is the most wonderful of places. The only very minor things I might say were the pool was a little cold at the end of May still, and the 2nd floor bedroom does not have an ensuite, so you have to come outside and down 2 flights of stairs to use the toilet, but both are only minor inconveniences. As said, we had a lovely stay here and will surely come back to Gozo. Thank you Alexandra for allowing us to stay in your lovely property. Only thing that caught us out was the UK 3 pin plugs, we had expected European 2 pin plugs, so that was an easy issue to fix! Will take UK plugs next time.

Lovely villa in a good location

Lovely villa in a working town. A good location to visit places nothing was too far and using bolt was brilliant as parking outside would have been difficult. Being a working town it is not quiet as the bus plus lots of other vehicles go past. It tends to become a lot quieter after 2. This wasn't really a problem but if you are looking for somewhere peaceful this is not the place for you. Villa was clean and tidy. Wouldn't suit someone with small children as the bedroom all came off an outside courtyard and the pool was fairly deep. You would need to keep a close eye at all times! With teenagers it worked well as they had their own space. Had everything you needed in the kitchen if you wanted to cook. The town square had some pretty good restaurants to choose from if you didn't want to cook. Salt pans really good trip and also Victoria. Xlendi and Marsaform were pretty although it was pretty windy when we were there. We were not disappointed it was a lovely place in an authentic Gozo town. I would definitely return.
