It was relaxing. Love the animals. Serene location. Good country surroundings. Lovely and friendly children of the owners and of course owners are lovely too. We even got free dozen of eggs and a bottle of fresh milk. Very affordable accommodation. The list can go on. Just perfect for the family with children. Would love to go back again during summer time. They have a big land of fun activities for family, relatives and friends altogether. The beds are comfortable. Bring the whole gang to have a blast and enjoy the country experience. Star gazing was great!

The house itself was unexpectedly good. It exceeded our expections. It was clean and they pretty much provided everything except the bedsheets had a noticeable odor. And the exterior property (front side) felt a bit unsafe and cluttered with scattered metal and debris. Apart from that, it was a good stay. Nice view at the fenced back with wallabies and goats. There was a heater which was very helpful during winter. And there was a fireplace on the side of the house but too bad we didn't have an axe or small firewoods to get it light up. It was a pet friendly, they even provided a bed for your little pooch.

Thanks so much for staying with us! It is wonderful to hear that the inside of the house was a hit and gave you a great view of the local wildlife.
We're really bummed about the linen smell! After giving them another wash, we figured out the smell is actually coming from the septic system. We're on it!
Just wanted to let you know that the scrap metal you see out front is actually from a farm cleanup we're doing. It's definitely not how we usually keep things, and we're planning to get the front yard tidied up right away!
Oh, and if you needed firewood, it's totally available for purchase, and you could've just asked to borrow an axe!
Excellent accomodation & location, great little bike track for my grandson, the kids loved feeding the animals, I would recommend this property to anyone who enjoys the country life.
Also take lots of extra bread for the goats and sheep.
Neat tidy place clean sheets we were left to our own devices only saw owners on check in and out we all had a lovely experience and fulfilled our activities in the area was a lovely weekend. We were able to cook and did get vocal at times but we were not close to anyone so it was great to be ourselves.

Rural tranquility and rustic charm this property has in spades, the friendly gobble of the turkeys and honking of geese will have you smiling. Excellent a/c and very comfortable beds, kitchen and fridge thoughtfully stocked with lots of little extras. Excellent base for visiting the area. Cosy xx and private.
We had a lovely time at Undercliffe farm, the owners were very accommodating and helpful. The farm had lots of walking tracks to take, my son and partner went bike riding along the tracks they had an enjoyable time. The farm is not far from the town of Stanthorpe and Girraween National Park and there are lots of other places to visit close by like the Lilac Farm and Chocolate shop. It was very peaceful and we had a great time, the cottage was very rustic.

About the host
Hosted by Katrina and Ben Rickard
Our family, which includes Ben, myself (Katrina), and our seven children, decided several years ago to experience the world without traveling. Family is the most important aspect of our lives, and I focus almost all my activities around them.
I'm a personal care worker at Stanthorpe Aged Care. Ben is a truck driver for Lindsay Transport. My four older kids are all employed, and we still have three younger ones in school. The younger children will happily show you around the property without you needing to ask.
Why they chose this property
Ben is the fourth generation of his family on this property. The property was divided among the three sons. It wasn't large enough to solely raise cattle, so we expanded into offering bed and breakfast accommodation, camping, and now glamping.
What makes this property unique
It constitutes our particular portion of paradise, a place that we consider to be exceptionally beautiful and tranquil.
