Mimosa sits beside a citrus orchard on our 85 acre permaculture farm and mountain rainforest landscape. Located 10 minutes outside of Mullumbimby within the Wilsons Creek Valley filled with fresh water creeks, swimming holes, waterfalls, national parks and sub-tropical rainforest.

Mimosa has a nice outdoor deck with both sun and shade and with views across the valley and up to the mountain and forests behind and the goats nearby to observe from the deck. There is one closed bedroom and an open plan area offers a kitchen, gas stove, lounge and a second queen bed up the end in its own alcove area.
A bathroom has spring water-fed bath, shower and a dry composting toilet.
Reliable wifi is available inside and in outdoor sitting areas.
Guests are welcome to explore the farm, feed the animals and eat from the gardens. Nearby are sheep, lambs, chickens, cows and various buildings like yurts, domes, food, medicine, off grid solar, eco-tech, subtropical rainforest, creeks and natural pools.

My mother, myself & 2 kids stayed with adam, and it was lovely! Would definitely stay again!
Plenty of animals for my kids to pat & feed, and secluded enough for privacy and family time
A very special place, hosts went above and beyond to make the weekend fantastic for the family. Very peaceful, lots of animals and the cabin is comfortable and well for out. Highly recommend this lovely farm stay.
We had an excellent time here. From the nice house to the adorable goats and chickens. Highly recommend. My doggo immensely enjoyed herself watching all the animals.
I really enjoyed my stay here on this working permaculture farm. Adam and his team are all so helpful and friendly - nothing is too much trouble.
The cabin itself is in a beautiful location, surrounded by lush rainforest and mountains and I was visited frequently by the friendly hens and inquisitive goats who live right next door.
After a week here I felt so relaxed I didn't want to leave!
Absolutely beautiful property, beautiful home and the host was incredible. We absolutely felt and home and were made to feel so welcome by Adam. The property is amazing, and you feel total freedom to explore the land, feed the animals. I highly highly recommend, we will be going back and taking our family too.
ps, dont be put off by the composting toilet... it didn't even smell!! it really surprised us!!!!
Had a 4 night escape with the fiancé and our 1.5 year old staffy. We all had such an amazing time! Even wandering and around the grounds was an adventure in itself, and our Zeus got a tonne of core memories. We all did really. Great kitchen amenities made it perfect for opening a bottle of wine and cooking some amazing food with a view. Nice secluded area, but still close enough to a town centre and day trips at the beach. First time we’ve done a holiday like this, but it won’t be the last! Can’t wait for next time 😊
Pro Tip: Pre-download Google offline maps for the area, Get the WIFI password before you leave home, buy some firewood & food to cook and fill up your petrol tank at Mullumbimby. Turn on your lights for driving windy bumpy roads & move over at times to let the locals fly past. Get there and detox from modern life for a few days. Make a campfire, enjoy a spring water shower & marvel at the millions of stars in the sky in the dead quiet of night realise how loud the sound of your breathing is when its the only thing you can hear. Wake up late feed the goats admire the "SERENITY - ah the serenity" (the castle) then drive to feast at the Federal Doma Cafe then go see Minyon Falls a hike from the lookout down the base of the falls in recommend if its flowing or take a scenic drive to Wanganui. Most importantly be kind and respectful to your host for providing a unique farmstay in a cabin well stocked full of utensils and appliances on a busy working farm. On your way home take a trip into Byron Bay see the lighthouse some beaches then sadly drive home to real "life" - Thank You
I came here with my little dog, after selling a home and, in the process of buying another. Adam and his team were there if you needed them, but allowed you to have your own space. A perfect place to recharge and relax. Loved it 😊
I'm so sorry! I thought I had written a review!
My partner and I stayed a few months ago here with our dog, ashanti and we had SUCH a lovely weekend! I guess my review didnt save as I thought I left one and raved all about this spot to my friends and family! It was so amazing being in the middle of nature with the goats and having a fire place on the deck and drinking wine and eating cheeses. The host was so lovely to talk to aswell and made our stay so enjoyable! It's very country style and laid back sort of living there. We really loved it and how close of a drive it was to several places. Thank you so much for having us and apologies again that I didn't send through this review earlier!!
The retreat we - my dog and I were looking for. We enjoyed 9 days of quiet seclusion . The property is tucked away in the hills - cows, sheep, goats roam the paddocks and carefully planted trees line the drive way. You will see people tending their plants and get an always friendly conversation with Adam -the owner.
We had a great stay at Adams’s farm. The kids loved the goats and the freedom. Very quiet and great location with lots of easy options for day trips, and lots of local exploring.
We were very thankful to find a quiet place away from the hurly burly of life. A Permaculture farm does seem to follow that tempo, and we were grateful for the hospitality of our host. Thanks Adam.

Magical
We loved our stay completely
Despite the rain!
Adam is a fabulous host - helpful in every way and made us all feel comfortable and welcome from the start.
Our cabin was clean comfortable and had everything one could need (including beautiful scenery)
Holly the horse turned out to be quite a character and was there greeting us at the window every morning (seems she’s rather partial to apples) Along with Molly (not her real name) the magpie who also arrived each morning we were in heaven
Adam gave us great directions to some magical places and we spent a few days exploring and experiencing these.
We left feeling refreshed and energised and grateful for the time spent here

Excellent getaway
Adam was a fantastic host, who provided lots of information. Our 10 year old son enjoyed feeding the goats and the horse who loved to look at herself in the glass windows. Charlie our dog was made very welcome and is now recovering from his adventure. Very happy with our little getaway.
