Comfortable First Floor Apartment

Brantfield House is a large Victorian house set in mature gardens in a quiet location overlooking the village of Bowness and Lake Windermere. The apartment is on the first floor at the front of the house, with beautifully proportioned rooms offering spectacular views of the lake and surrounding fells.


The apartment is continually being updated. All rooms are well furnished, spacious, light and airy. The apartment sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. Each room has plentiful storage and the twin room has a TV, and PS3

The bathroom has a shower, toilet and wash basin. The kitchen has ample workspace and includes oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, washer and dishwasher. The large lounge /dining room was recently redecorated and is comfortably furnished with leather settees and dining table set in the bay window. There is a TV with Freeview, Netflix and DVD player There is a selection of dvds, books and games. The apartment has free wifi access. This room has a bay window allowing spectacular views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells.

The house is set in a quiet location but only a short walk to the heart of Bowness

We loved our stay at this property. Great views, parking, space, responsive host, able to walk to the lake, everything we needed. Lovely decor and art work make it a very pleasant place to come "home" to after a day out and about.

Stayed here for the second time and found it to be a perfect base for bowness and the lakes.Great communication from Christine the host prior to our stay to make check in nice and easy.Apartment has all the facilities that you need for your stay, spotlessly clean and a great location.Please note there is a steep road up to the property but what fantastic views that then provides.Have already booked again for next year.

Mind blowing accommodation, couldn't stop looking at the incredible lake views. Spotless property, so quiet and tranquil, listening to nature and with a short 5 minute walk to the centre. Perfect weather made the stay even more incredible.

Gorgeous flat on a hill over looking the lake with amazing views. The flat is spacious and nice and clean and the owner is very helpful and flexibel. A wonderful place to stay and can only be recommended.

This was a great apartment. The views from the living room were amazing, clean, tidy and spacious. It was a peaceful place, easy walking distance to the centre and other activities. I would certainly stay here again.

Great Apartment

We had a lovely 4 night stay in Bowness. The apartment was perfect for us, clean, really well equipped and the living room was very cosy. Plus it comes with superb views of the lake and hills. We would definitely recommend.

Another fantastic stay

Perfect short break in Bowness. Even when it rained we had the apartment to go to and relax. Feels like a second home with plenty dvds and streaming services to use. Thanks again for a great stay. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful house. Views are beautiful, we loved it. However I do feel it’s important to mention that this house is on a very steep hill so would not suit wheelchair users or people who can’t walk well. It doesn’t state it anywhere on the description.
