We had a great time here, the trek to the lake and back definately keeps you exercised :-) the house has pretty much everything you might need to prepare meals and what not. Will keep this property on our lest of returning rentals.
Loved our stay so much. The water was amazing and the dock let us soak up lots of sun. My daughter even learned how to swim while we were there! The house is gorgeous and very clean! Highly recommend!

Great location/great stay
We (my extended family and myself) had a wonderful time at this cottage. The lake setting was perfect. I have been to other lakes in Southwest Michigan and they are often crowded and quite built up, but this location was not like that at all. The lake was relaxing, with great swimming and boating, the house easily accommodated 5 adults/5 children, and everyone enjoyed their stay. We would definitely like to stay here again, and would highly recommend it.
We had a few grandkids stay with us. Even though the temperature was in the mid 70’s it didn’t stop them from swimming and fishing. Fishing was very good this year with Perch, many different pan fish and large sized small mouth bass being caught. The water temperature was warm. They loved swimming off the pontoon as well. Very enjoyable time was had by all.
New construction next door had no affect on our stay. The beach area is great. The kids really enjoyed it. Use of the Pontoon completed the fun that was had by all. Many fish were caught by the young ones from the docks and Pontoon. We even got away one day for a golfing event with friends and family.
This was our second stay in this lovely cottage on Long Lake. It is cozy and comfortable...perfect for a family holiday! The only issue we had was in communicating with the property manager. However, the property owner herself was very responsive and kind. I would highly recommend this property for a family gathering in Southwestern Michigan!
Everything was great. Well stocked, clean and comfortable. The only problem was the hill down to the water was so steep that if you are disabled or un healthy..this place is NOT for you. We made it a point to only go up and down 1x a day. day.and down once a day
This was our 4th year staying at this cottage/house. The owner, Mikus, is easy to communicate with and he responds promptly to any questions.
The WI-FI works great, especially if you work remotely during your stay.
We rented the pontoon boat; our dogs loved riding in it. Overall, the lake is pretty quiet, even on the weekends.
The pier area was smaller than previously due to the new house next door. But we were still able to enjoy the lake and the privacy of the beach. The lake is very clear and it is very easy to walk into from the beach.
The house is very comfortable. We didn't use the foosball table as much as in the past, but it was fun when we did.
We obviously like this rental and hopefully will return in the future.
Very nice location for lake access. The hill down to the lake from the house is no joke and if you’re not fit could be an issue. The lake itself was very nice for swimming and fishing. The property itself is just ok. It’s a lake house with some updates but also many details that need to be updated/ cleaned/ painted. If it wasn’t for the lake I would never imagine staying there. The owner was very helpful and check in was easy. Definitely want the boat access since that is really the only reason you would choose this property. Overall we had an amazing family trip and really enjoyed the beautiful lake. The 200 cleaning fee seems excessive based on the overall condition of the interior.

In general, the space was great for our adult children and 2 dogs. We spent most of our time outside. The outdoor furniture and campfire options were great! The walk from the beach to the house is a trek. More photos of the beach and stairs would help people understand the effort it will take to get from the house to the beach and back up again. You need to be somewhat physically fit and able bodied to utilize this whole place. There was no picture shown of the 2nd bathroom. It is basically a closet in the basement that is being considered a bathroom. The sink was backing up and was not usable the entire stay. I informed the owner of this and no attempt was made to try to fix it. We did have trouble with the boat lift and he got people there to fix it the next day. Mikus was always quick to respond to any questions we had and made the booking process easy. Some of the furniture could use a good cleaning and parts of the house could use a bit of an upgrade. There wasn't much to do in the nearby towns, but we had plenty of options to fish and stayed entertained outdoors. (we brought bikes and enjoyed rides around the neighborhood)

relaxing getaway on the lake
We had a really nice relaxing time . The house was clean and nicely furnished . The kitchen had most everything we needed. The decks were perfect for coffee in the morning and cocktails and dinner in the evening and the gates were convenient for keeping our dog contained when necessary. Nice view of the lake too . We really enjoyed the swimming raft and the piers and pontoon. The hike up and down from the lake was steep but nothing we couldn't handle. The frig in the boathouse really came in handy and the outlet was great to have for charging our phones down there. We did
Have an issue with the internet as the information in the house binder was not updated , and the grill was pretty dirty and there was no grill brush . A poker for the fire pit would have come in handy . Over all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this cottage. This was the first time we took our dog with us on a lake vacation. He had a blast ! We enjoyed the Kelsey Block Brewery in Three Rivers and stocked up on Michigan blueberries at Corey Lake orchard.

Thank you for your review and we enjoyed having you at the cottage. Just to clarify - the information in the house binder about the WiFi is accurate. We just added a second router so now there are two WiFi options. However, as is the case with all WiFi and router systems - if the WiFi is not working, if you reboot the router that will fix the problem assuming the cable/internet service is not experiencing a system wide outage. Thanks again.
The house was clean & had all the comforts of home. Property was nice, just note the house is up on a hill with a beautiful view of Long Lake. The walk down to the lake is a steep hill, easy to go down but it's a hike back up to the house especially if you're older. Long Lake is clean & beautiful. Our entire family had a great time!
We had a great stay at Long Lake House. The Pros: beautiful, calm lake, great pontoon boat with lots of room, great space to swim off the private beach and nice raft ; nice kitchen and living area-well equipped. The Cons: bedrooms and beds/bedding need updating; the second bathroom is TINY; the walk back up from the lake is a little tiring; kitchen faucet needs some work/replacement
This was our third summer stay at the cottage. We really enjoy staying here. The lake was clear and we had lots of fun in the water. The hill is always great exercise. Driving around the lake in the pontoon boat was a wonderful way to end each day. The foosball table was utilized daily. The owner is easy to communicate with. Overall, we had a fantastic time!
Our stay at the lake house was very relaxing. We were on the lake every day. It was so easy to fill our days with swimming and boating. And everything we needed was provided.

Excellent vacation
Great vacation!! The Kins Lake house was perfect for my family, fully stocked, and as advertised. Good swimming with great beach access for little ones. The water front shed with mini fridge was clutch because the hill was a beast. Mikus was great to work with and good communication throughout.
Looking forward to renting this spot again very soon!!
Thank you!!
