Fun, Family-Friendly Vacation Condo -Sanibel Serenity

Our unit is newly renovated with updated appliances and new furniture and Sanibel is finally ready for visitors after recovering from hurricane Ian.

This spacious, light and airy dwelling we call Sanibel Serenity, is a top floor unit with lush foliage views. Situated in the building closest to the surf, you will be steps away from the beautiful gulf of Mexico and one of the top 3 shelling beaches in the world.

Second floor unit that has been completely renovated. 2 bedrooms & 2 beautiful tile baths. The master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV, sitting area, large walk-in closet and full bath. Guest bedroom has 2 queen beds, flat screen TV with DVD player and full bath outside bedroom door. Living room has 2 queen sleeper sofas, entertainment center with flat screen TV, DVD, & AM/FM stereo, CD & IPod player. Dining room table with 8 chairs and kitchen bar with 2 stools. Very light and bright. Fully equipped kitchen with Microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, crock pot -absolutely everything you would need and en suite laundry area with new washer & dryer. Other amenities include air conditioning and ceiling fans, hair dryers, ironing board and iron.

Note from Blind Pass Condominiums during Hurricane Ian reconstruction :
During your stay, you may encounter disruptions such as noise from work/delivery truck traffic on the property; ongoing renovation work in units; noise/dust from landscaping projects; and noise/dust from construction work on tennis and pickleball courts. Amenities such as the courts may not be fully available and are subject to temporary closure with little or no notice.

While we will attempt to minimize the intrusions during your stay, all the work you will see and hear is necessary to fully restore the resort back to the paradise setting our guests have enjoyed over the years. Working hours will typically be between 8am – 4pm during the weekdays.

Please NOTE: There will be no refunds for early departures due to concerns related to ongoing construction/renovation work on the property. Our clubhouse will be open Monday through Saturday, 9am-4pm. If you have any questions or concerns, our knowledgeable and friendly staff will be there to help. Thank you for your patience and understanding during our recovery process. We look forward to hosting you!

Lovely location close to beach

Super-clean and comfortable condo. It's a little outside of the busier part of Sanibel, which we loved. Easy parking. The owner was very responsive and the condo had thoughtful little touches, which we appreciated. I'll be planning to stay here again in the future.

Wonderful ultra clean and comfy home

This as probably the best home we’ve stayed in. It was beautifully decorated and comfortable, bright and cozy. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I’ve been in, it has EVERYTHING! Walking distance to the beach, peaceful area, the pool was gorgeous and Julie was lovely to communicate with. We want to stay for two weeks next year!

We stayed here 1st week of April, nice short walk to the gulf (5min) excellent shelling area. House was very clean n quiet & well equipped. Outside is showing its age. Easy access and covered parking. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Sanibel sanctuary

The condo was nicely appointed, clean, and welcoming. It’s a short walk to the beach where there are tons of shells! Wear your beach shoes! We would highly recommend this unit and would book it again.

Great Sanibel Island stay!

Condo was fabulous! Very clean and great beach decor. Nicely appointed with just about anything we could need or want. While not on the beach, the beach is an easy 5-7 minute walk. Condo also has close, walkable access to Bowman's Beach Park and trails. Access to tennis courts and a pool. Very quiet location.

We really enjoyed our visit to Blind Pass Condos. Julie has really thought about having everything available. Without a doubt this was the best supplied kitchen we have ever found. There was everything and anything in those cabinets. Having your own private beach access was very enjoyable. All in all a great experience.

Perfect stay in paradise

Julie was so kind and thoughtful throughout our stay. She went out of her way to accommodate our family and help us feel at home. The location of this condo was fantastic. Not only was it beautiful and super clean, but It was also perfectly equipped for the beach and for cooking!

Really nice place in an awesome location

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The place is in good shape and well appointed. We appreciated all the beach gear, especially the wagon to haul gear to and from the beach. We will definitely consider staying here again. One minor thing to improve the overall experience would be adding outside cooking tools for the BBQ grills.

Lovey beach vacation

My family had the most wonderful 2 week stay! Julie was a wonderful host and very helpful to any questions we had. The condo was fully stocked ready for everything we needed for the beach and kitchen. We especially appreciated the wagon, umbrellas beach toys and beach chairs provided. Sanibel is a wonderful place, it’s just what my family needed!! We would recommend to anyone untested in staying on Sanibel!

Definitely Your Home Away!

We stayed a week and nearly daily found “special touches”. Whether cooking, beaching, watching Big TV, selecting a jigsaw puzzle, etc.everything you need. The VRBO description is accurate and the recent renovations are not only nice but attractive. Contact with the host “Julie” is like texting your friend. Indeed, I feel like I now have a new friend.

Winter Get Away

Quite, secluded and clean We had a little cliche upon arriving with cleaning service being delayed, but the property owner quickly resolved the problem. This condo is complete with all the necessities from the corkscrew to the crockpot. Thank for a wonderful 2 weeks.

A wonderfully relaxing place to escape the cold and enjoy the sun

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay on Sanibel in large part because the condo we rented was everything we had hoped for. The property was clean, spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. It was also ideally located - a short stroll to a fabulous beach, close to Captiva, Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, and a number of good restaurants. The amenities available at this relatively small condo complex were impressive with free access to a nice pool, tennis courts, outdoor grilling and kayaks. The condo owner, Julie, was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to any questions. When we return to Sanibel (and we definitely will) this will be our go-to getaway condo if it's available.

Bummer- Hurricane Milton

I had to file insurance claim as hurricane Milton brought excessive sand to the grounds around the condo and power was out. Condo office closed the complex for the remainder of October. NO communication with the host other than what I sent them. I gave them updates on the property and let them know we could not stay there. Nothing from the host. Insurance company claim went smoothly and we got our money back and made other arrangements to save our vacation. Do not recommend.

A little piece of heaven!

This was our second stay at Blind Pass Condominiums, and the first in this apartment. It was just me and my two teenage kids, all of us wanting to get away to a quiet, secluded, restful place. It was absolute serenity - far enough from "civilization" that great rest and reset can happen, but close enough when you want to reengage with the world (get groceries, ice cream, or dinner). The condo is spacious, clean, comfortable, and outfitted with everything you need, including great kitchen supplies, everything for the beach and the pool, plus books, movies, and puzzles for relaxing moments indoors. The view from the windows is glorious - the condo overlooks nature, not buildings, and it's beautiful! The beach very secluded, especially if you walk a few steps in either direction from Bowman's Beach (which is public, but never crowded). Each day I'd go for looooong walks on the beach and see only a handful of people (all of whom were super nice and friendly). Occasionally you can see dolphins - unbelievable! The peace and quiet of this condo complex is amazing, and just what we needed! As the island is still recovering from hurricane Ian, you can witness the resilience of the community. Thank you for an amazing week; we will be back for sure!!

Kevin and Julie Jennings have been together since 1992. They live with their retired racing greyhound, Taz, sweet 16-year-old Abyssinian cat, Rusty, a tuxedo cat, Audrey and a rambunctious African Grey Parrot, Raptor, who is 25 years young and thinks Julie is 'the other woman'. They have one daughter, Nic, who lives in Southern Cali.

Recently transplanted from SoCal to Phoenix, Arizona, they are adjusting to the new climate, and are surrounded by friends from multiple groups they belong to.

Both are interested in making the world a better place, and have contributed significantly to many charitable organizations. They continue to support the causes they believe in, including: the cure for pancreatic cancer and Alzheimer's, as well as animal welfare and veteran concerns.

Both of them have lost their fathers to currently incurable diseases, yet feel that one day a cure will be found.

Julie is a proud veteran of the USMC.

Why they chose this property

Julie grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and her Mom, Cindy, has always been a fan of Sanibel Island. After she married Kevin, they looked for a way to give back to the family, and to ensure that there would always be a vacation place on Sanibel for the family.

This unit has been in the family for over 8 years, and while we would like to visit more often, it has been a wonderful refuge for the whole family, as well as our guests over the years.

We love the fact that it is on a private beach, allowing for the wonderful and captivating shelling experience unlike anywhere else - one of the top 3 shelling beaches in the world.

Julie found dozens of fossilized cats paws one beautiful shelling day a few years back, and she has them proudly displayed in her living room back home, as a constant reminder of the treasures that exist on the beaches of Sanibel Island!

What makes this property unique

We chose this unit in this complex for a number of reasons:
1- it's on Bowman's Beach - a wonderful central location and very private
2- the unit is in the building closest to the beach path
3- it was already pretty updated when we bought it, and we added some finishing touches
4- the condo association takes excellent care of the property and are extremely responsive
4- Mom loved it, and she has excellent taste (enough said! ;) )
