We really enjoyed our stay. The location is really beautiful. The house was as advertised. It would be nice to have a couple more fans, the upstairs and loft room get warm at night. If you have more than one vehicle, it takes time to get turned around in the driveway. My kids had a lot of fun and we would definitely return!
Brandon was an absolute gem to work with. Everything we needed was communicated thoroughly, he met with our employees to go over directions and details. He was willing to work with us during one of the busiest time of the year and helped us out in such a huge way. We will absolutely be working with Brandon in the future.
Our family spent a couple days at the lake, we were excited to have beach and a dock to play at during our stay. The initial impression was that the house was clean and had what we needed. Unfortunately, after staying there for one night we found that there were a ton of spiders (especially in the basement room where our kids slept). Also, the twin bed in the upstairs loft was not used because of how incredibly hot it was and the window had no screen. The basement bed is not listed correctly. It states it should be a queen size, instead it is more a full size (it’s a futon). There were two old fashioned cots in the closet that we used. There were also not enough blankets. The home doesn’t have air conditioning but 2 fans were provided (one of which was broken).
The screened in porch was awesome and we loved it! The stairs down to the lake were super steep and need to be used with caution. I would highly recommend only kids that are over 5yrs old use them.

Cheryl-thank you for your review. The cabin definitely has its positives and negatives like any property. I will install A/C as August temps have been 90+ daily and obviously you can't be in the water all the time. I was unaware of the fan being broken so I will replace that. The loft is super warm in August so I'm sorry if you were planning on utilizing that. Regarding the bed in basement I will see if I can switch that in the listing to full/futon. The cots are more for overflow but glad you were able to utilize them as needed. I haven't noticed or had any other spider/bug comments down there and cleaner was there so I'll address that also. Thanks again for staying-and leaving in good condition!
The pictures do not do this place justice! We stayed at this cabin for over a week and loved every moment. This place provided exactly what we think a lake experience should be. It’s rustic and nostalgic and so many aspects of the cabin made us smile with reminders of past eras. (Go check out the bathroom wall paper. It’s one of a kind and hilarious!) After boating around and looking at the other homes on Deer Lake we realized this particular cabin was perfect for us. It’s situated up in the trees which gives you a lot of privacy (many of the other cabins are jammed in very close to their neighbors) while also being close to the water. It feels like being in a tree house! There are a number of stairs down to the private dock, but it’s really not that bad at all to go up and down. We felt walking some stairs is a fair trade for privacy and space from neighbors. It also seems like all the best cabins on the lake have lots of stairs down to the water. The cabin’s private beach area is much bigger than expected, and this bay was pretty quiet the entire time. There’s a plethora of movies and 2 TVs which we used on a rainy day. There’s multiple refrigerators and a fully stocked kitchen, even a couple BBQs and fire pit. The screen porch is a huge plus! You could probably sleep a couple people or kids out there, and we took naps and ate dinner in the screen porch. This cabin also has beautiful views of sunsets, which also means the morning sun doesn’t blast into your bedroom. I’m going to run out of typing space before I can fully express how lovely this cabin is! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for letting us enjoy your adorable cabin!

Thank you and so glad you had a great experience!!
This is our 2nd summer spending vacation at this cabin. The scenery is fantastic. The cabin works well for our family of 4, and communication with Brandon has been great.
This was our second stay. Beautiful location, comfortable sleep, and tucked into a bay perfect for swimming and paddle boarding. Bald eagles and Milky Way viewing. We love it here!
Our family (ages 8-13 kids) had an awesome week at Deer Lake. The cabin is dated, but in a nostalgic way. It is clean, and everything functions like the day it was made. Our family played board games, swam and simply enjoyed the view. We even rented a boat (delivered right to the lake) for two days which was amazing to explore beyond our bay. The Country Store at Deer Lake Resort had yummy ice cream and essentials, and the drive out beyond it was beautiful. We loved escaping the busy lives we have and simply relaxing together! It is accurately portrayed in photos and communication.
Property was very relaxing with nice views of the lake. Nice bay location. Driveway was skinny and windy. 3 cars max and you have to back out. Dock and beach area were great. We enjoyed campfires by the lake. Dock is suited for boats under 21’. The owner was very friendly and easy to contact. Just as he said in the listing. The stairs down to the lake are steep. Not for the elderly, but easy enough for most people to walk.
I was looking for a nice secluded cabin for some rest and relaxation. This cabin could not have been more perfect! Combined with the Fall weather, the location of the cabin in a cove, and very few (if any) people on the lake, this was peaceful bliss at its finest.
As for the actual cabin: It was comfortable, clean, and just as described. As many of the other reviews state, it is rustic. It is not some fancy glam-cation retreat. It has everything you need, and nothing you don't. The kitchen was fully stocked, the living room was comfortable, the bed in the master was nice, and the shower had an abundance of hot water.. What more could you want?
As for the best part of the cabin? It had to be the view of the lake. I waked up each morning (even though 30ish degrees out) and had my coffee on the deck. Evergreen trees and Lake for as far as the eye could see.
This was obviously a review for mid October on a 4-5 day stretch of cold weather. However, I could easily see how great this cabin would be during the Summer months. I took a couple trips down to the dock, and it is surprisingly very large. The private beach area is also quite large. You can easily envision how a family could spend all day on the water!
I can't wait until next year when I return again to the secluded solitude in the woods. Thanks again Brandon!
See you next year cabin!!
We spent four nights here, and we were either on the upper deck or on the dock on the lake pretty much the whole time. Cabin is comfortable - it's a family cabin, not a corporate rental - but if you want a local lake experience and don't mind stairs, it's perfect! We brought everything we needed and didn't leave until checkout. Thanks to Brandon for sharing his place!
We love the A-frame. The location was great, and getting to play in the water while living in the trees with excellent views was perfect for us. We found the house very comfortable and loved the retro decor. Brandon was helpful and friendly. Deer lake is awesome in this property is great!
Based on all of the other reviews, my family knew we were in for a treat. However, when we got there, it was more beautiful than we could have imagined. The cabin itself is perfect!!! Beautiful view of the lake and comfortable and cozy inside. We spent all day jumping off the private dock and swimming around in the lake. The cabin is in a cove, which made it perfect for us to swim. No boats or jet skis going through. Brandon was easy to get ahold of and responded quickly to questions. Our family looks forward to a return stay.
Charming mix of old and new! Well stocked with daily necessities, To be able to fish off the dock, enjoy the clear lake, and take in the natural views was just what the doctor ordered! Don’t even need water toys! Friendly neighbors and owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Would rent again!
Very peaceful lakefront property. My children can't wait to come back. It was good for my adult soul.

A real get away
Wanted to get away from the "modern" world and the cabin was great. Its a family cabin, not fancy just cozy. Great views of the lake, hills and sunsets. Favorite part was the screened in porch with bbq. Could sit out there make s'mores and talk for hours. Caught some fish in the lake. Brandon was great to work with and very responsive. Thanks for everything!

Cozy Cabin
The cabin was well stocked with the essentials and then some. My only suggestions would be to add fans down stairs and more linens and towels for the kitchen. The couch was a little uncomfortable but the view and the peace and quite made up for the small discomforts.

Good location and view.
The cabin is quaint and has a beautiful view of the lake from decks on the upper and lower level. It was quite comfortable. There were only about 4 beach towels though and one bath towel. We never could find any kitchen towels. Stairs are quite steep both inside and out, so it would be good to keep that in mind depending on your fitness level.

Lake rental on Deer Lake, Washington
This was a great rental for us. Although a little difficult to get to, the location was extra quiet and had plenty of room and the amenities were perfect for us 2 adults an two 15 y.o teenage girls. We rented Tuesday - Saturday (depart) and hear hardly any boat noise until Saturday morning. This was a blessing. We want to rent this again next year. Brandon was great to work with. Thanks Brandon!
ps. Use the East Deer Lake road to approach the property. It is shortest with less dirt road and no pot holes! :)
