This was the most cozy and home-like of the VRBOs we stayed in during our 2 week trek across AZ. We LOVED the location (but you should know that there are bars that are open until 2am just behind the house and you will hear it). We didn't mind because we knew we were staying next to the commercial zone. House was well stocked and the kitchen was fully equipped, including a big dining table. There is a gas franklin stove in the living room that put out enough heat to keep everyone toasty on the coldest nights. Would have been 5 stars but for the fact that the patio furniture is not in the condition shown online (No umbrella, string lights, only 3 chairs and they were falling apart and unusable). The water pressure in the home is really low too, but wasn't a deal killer to us.
This home had everything one would need. We loved how close we were to everything. We enjoyed the beautiful weather on the front patio. Place was very comfortable.

Quaint Bungalow in Downtown Flagstaff
Perfect three night getaway within walking distance to all the great restaurants and galleries in downtown Flagstaff. Dedicated parking space and a perfect courtyard to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Owners were great to work with and we can't wait to return soon!

You're welcome anytime Meghan, so glad you enjoyed our home:) Nik and Gina
Found this gem when trying to find a house within walking distance to NAU. Listing photos are accurate but we were surprised with the amount of space when we arrived. Lots of room and very comfortable. We loved that we could walk to the campus and all of our favorite coffee and restaurant spots. Will definitely book again.
We had a great time, some skiing and some just enjoying the snow and cold with walks. Very comfortable and host was very helpful with road conditions, checking for us multiple times. We did have trouble with the internet but that was due to the storm that had just passed through.

Close to Downtown
The location was great and easy to get to everything but somewhat loud due to the location. It was very warm and there weren’t any screens on the windows so we couldn’t get any cross ventilation, especially at night and only a few fans.

Spacious, great patio, clean, great location!
A great rental home in a great location! Renters were communicative and created a wonderful experience for us.
Our kids caught snowflakes on their tongues from the front patio....we have a great picture of them sitting on the swing together...Mexican, American, Thai, and a hot dog restaurants within a block or two....I walked a block to pick up wine...no train noise...everyone loved the Netflix...we cooked several meals in the kitchen...it was 30 degrees outside but we stayed toasty in the home...parked right outside making loading the car easy...

So glad you all enjoyed Mark:) Come stay again soon! Nik and Gina
My husband and I took our college aged daughter, high school aged son and two small dogs to stay for the long Memorial Day weekend. This house accommodated us all perfectly. The space itself is charming and well stocked with anything a person might need. Each kid had their own room, so plenty of privacy. The yard is fenced, which worked well for the dogs. Also, most nearby restaurants allowed dogs on the patio. Our kids seemed to really enjoy the lively nighttime atmosphere and my husband and I liked being able to walk to breakfast or a cup of coffee. Restaurants, bars, and shops are all a short distance from this house. There is also a climbing gym across the street and a yoga studio on the block. I went to yoga there one morning and it was a fun, challenging class. Also, the check-in, check-out process was easy and communication seemed simple with the owners. Without question we would stay here again. Thank you so much, Nik and Gina!
First off - would definitely stay here again, so don't let what I'm about to say detract from that. The location was great - downtown Flag was an easy 10 minute walk. Restaurants and bars all around this property. A few minuses that detracted from our experience:1. There was no welcome folder despite reaching out to owners about it. They responded quickly but we never did find it. Would've helped with wifi, check out instructions, etc.2. I'm not sure if it was the wifi or the TV, but using it was incredibly slow. Took forever for Netflix to boot up and then stalled several time during a show we were watching.3. Trash was overflowing. Leftover pizza and pizza boxes were all over the ground next to the bins. Not a great aesthetic walking on to the property and the stink kept us from using the front porch area. Maybe the people before us just had a killer party??Again, saying all this, I still give it 4 stars. It's a fun little house with lots of character and it's just so close to everything I can overlook some of these items. Would love to come back in the future and give it 5 stars!
We love this place and would like to return. For the price and location, it works great. It was only myself, my husband, and our dog while moving our daughter back into the dorms. There was a lot of space that would be perfect for a family or even two. Although we didn't need all of the space, we spent most of our time in the cozy living room. The couches were comfortable. The kitchen was just right with a nice size fridge dishes, and table. The bathroom was also great because it was large and updated with everything working great. There have been issues in other older houses with everything so old that water pressure is low, sinks leak, etc... This was not the case here. It was the antique feel and look, with a unique style - but everything working and without the worry that the floor or ceiling might fall through. There were only two things we didn't like that would be amazing if they fixed. The biggest is the lack of air conditioning. I know it's common in Flagstaff not to have a/c. But it was reallllly uncomfortable in this house during the day in August. Even when opening windows at night to let cool air in - it gets too hot during the day.
If they installed just one window unit in the living room, it wouldn't cost that much, and would provide relief from the heat in one room during the day. That would have made the trip way nicer for us. The other is the front patio. It was completely overgrown. If they had someone clean that up, it would be great.

Poor experience!
1. Very old house with only one fire place in the living area. The rooms take a long time to heat up. We stayed for one night here and most of us had to sleep in the living area to keep ourselves warm. There were a few space heaters provided but they did not do the job. We went to Flagstaff when it was pretty cold (-)
2. Gina, the owner was good to accommodate us half hour before check in time. (+)
3. Parking space is really limited - for a 3 BR house, you expect to have at least 3 parking spots. It had snowed when we were there and there was only 1 dedicated parking. The street parking was not allowed past 9 pm in the nearby streets. (-)
4. For the 3 bedroom house, there is only 1 bathroom. We were 6 adults and 4 kids in this house so it was a bit difficult to manage. (-)
5. The kitchen sink was draining very slow when we checked in and the next morning when we tried to clean up and ran the garbage disposal - the drains clogged. Later on, we were told that we had shoved in a wash cloth in the sink. (-)
6. The worst thing happened after we checked out - we were charged 150 dollars from our deposit and were accused of sneaking in a dog in the house. None of the 3 families that had used the house has ever owned a dog - in fact none of us have ever entered a pet store in our life :) (-)
Gina later told me that she had not looked at the house herself and had based her assessment on recommendation from her management company and suggested that I dispute the money through VRBO since she did not know how to do that. VRBO suggested that the best way to resolve this is by talking to her - however, she has not responded to my messages so I have currently asked my CC to dispute the amount. If that does not work, then VRBO has promised to return my money. Hopefully I get my money back :(
Overall, we had a good vacation in Flagstaff but very bad experience staying at this house.

Mannish, we are very sorry that you are still frustrated at the portion of your deposit held.. as I said before, we are also disappointed, as we have never before in our years as hosts had to make a report, and the overall experience for us as proud hosts and homeowners was quite a bummer. We did send the photographs and documentation on to vrbo, whom assured us that they would promptly handle appropriately, and we have only received resolution messages from them, nothing further from you.. As stated during our last contact, I feel best at keeping this matter within the professional realms of vrbo, as I am confident that they have best interests in both guest and host, and will ensure the matter is properly addressed. That said, please feel free to reach out with further communications via the vrbo site and messaging if desired. We are glad that you all seemed to enjoy your stay regardless. Best, Nik & Gina

Inside was good, but outside was a jungle
I booked this place since it was downtown, big enough to fit my family, and a nice patio so we can bbq. When we got there the neighbors dog was in the patio and it was full of weeds. You open the gate, and they smack you in the face. There isn’t any AC, so it got really hot in the rooms at night even with the windows open. Definitely not ADA friendly, so if you have someone who is, this is not the place to go to. Overall, it was a cute home, just wish we could have enjoyed being outside on the patio area so we could have bbq’d and had fresh air.
I wasn’t sure at first. It was a random connected house with a dark and an awkward bathroom but clean and decorated very nice. Weed removal would be nice for us and dogs. More lighting in bathroom as well. But it did have character. Location is great but there is also a homeless mission down the street and we had a lady sleeping for a day outside the gate. You can tell someone is trying to make it as nice as possible for guests. It was nice enough for our needs at the time.
We loved our stay here. It was so close to hiking and also to drowntown flagstaff. The house was comfortable and had everything needed to make meals (we did thanksgiving here!) and relax. The gas fireplace kept the house nice and warm and the decorations were charming.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!
We took our granddaughters to the NPX. This was the perfect spot for our family to stay so the young adults in the group could hit all the fun party spots with just a short (safe) walk. While the old folks (me) could stay back and not worry about them driving. The bedrooms are surprisingly quiet considering all the nightlife nearby. A fire pit in the courtyard would be a great touch but I can understand why they don’t have one. Overall we loved our choice.
The location of this home is great! We didn’t need our car at all. The home became better as the weekend went on and we figured out everything. It was comfortable and big enough for 6 although we did not have any meals there (except breakfast) thank you !
