Lake Keowee: Lake front 7 mi from Clemson stadium

Comfortable, newly remodeled open plan house on Lake Keowee- south end -10 minute drive from Clemson's Death Valley or a paddle away from the Tiki Hut and Marina. Start your day with coffee on the spacious deck and end your day sipping a glass of wine watching the colors change on the lake. Great room opens to kitchen and dining room with wood burning fire place. Very large deck on main level accommodates a crowd and overlooks the lake. Gas grill on the deck. Master bedroom with king bed on main level opens to the deck. We love to wake up with sunlight, therefore the bedrooms have partly sheer curtains and are surrounded outside by trees. If you prefer windows totally covered for privacy or blackout shades for a good nights sleep- this might not be the house for you. Two bedrooms which share a large bath upstairs -each bedroom with private balconies. One guest room has two queen beds and the other guest room has a king bed. Full size game room on bottom floor equipped with TV and DVD, pool/ping pong table. Two single beds in the gameroom. Full bath and laundry facilities in the bottom floor/gameroom. No AC or heat in the gameroom but usually very comfortable temperature. Lake access by stairs- large open platform dock with assortment of floats. Nice quiet neighborhood!
The house is on a steep lot with many, many steps to get to the lake- this may not be ideal for elderly.

This house was perfect our a couples weekend at Clemson. It was about a ten/fifteen minute drive to moral stadium on game day! We hope to come back and stay for other Clemson games. I highly recommend this house!!

Funky lake house in a great location near Clemson. Listing is accurate. Would give 5 stars, but it was dirty when we checked in. Host was responsive and gave a small credit on cleaning fee, but it smelled pretty bad most of the weekend from the trash left by previous guests and half burned wood still in the fireplace from last winter I guess. Also, basement A/C doesn’t work. To be fair, this is stated in the listing. However, I recommend either getting it fixed or not advertising that space as available. It’s too hot down there to be usable for most people without A/C. Overall, good, spacious house in a really great location and our group of 6 had an awesome weekend for the Clemson/LSU game. Geaux Tigahs!

Football weekend

The stay was perfect for our guys football weekend. The house was great, view of the lake was amazing. It was nice to have the dock to hang out on and fish. Communication with the owner was great and responses were very prompt.

Idyllic spot

The house was an easy drive to Clemson, which was our #1 goal, but it was also so calming and peaceful on its own little cove m, everything was a described and the owners were a breeze to communicate with. We loved our time there!

Guys Football Trip

Great place with perfect location for Clemson game. Lots of space for multiple families and enough beds for a guys/gals trip! Patio overlooking the lake was perfect for drinks and conversation!

Perfect family house

Beautiful house in a beautiful surrounding on the lake!! The deck is very nice and we could use the kayaks from the owner. The owners were very nice and the communication went great. We had a fantastic stay and the house felt like home!!

Great Clemson Family Weekend Home

The location was perfect..a straight shot to campus and very convenient to great gas stations and the Publix shopping center. Really quiet and walkable neighborhood and community. The back deck was wonderful for when our Clemson student children came over for dinner. It was so lovely to sit out there and view the lake. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back for another weekend soon!

Perfect spot

This lake house is in a perfect location and quiet cove. It is a quick 10 minute drive to Clemson University. A Publix is located right outside of the neighborhood. Lyndon was easy to reach and communicate with. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect home for our families to come together and relax and play on the lake.

we had a great time staying here! The hosts were beyond accommodating and so sweet. Plenty to do just right in the cove with all the water toys and fishing equipment that was provided. Our children had a blast and we truly enjoyed the surroundings. The deck was great for dinners and relaxing. We definitely will rent again for summers to come. Thank you again.

Football game getaway

House was nice and the location is great!!!! Our biggest issue was the tv. Thank goodness we brought our own cables/connections so we could hook up our phone to watch football. Otherwise we would not have been able to watch any sports.

Another Wonder Weekend

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful lake house with our 2 daughters and their family. It was a great fit for the 10 of us and an easy drive to the Clemson football game. We have stayed here quite a few times in the past. The owners have recently completed renovations and lovely updates to their home, which makes it even more comfortable and special. The owners are easy to get in touch with and quick to respond to questions. We will be back.

Another Great Family Weekend

We had another great stay! The house is perfect for our 3 families with 4 boys 8 and under. The cove is a great place for them to swim, kayak and paddle board. We loved watching all the different birds at the feeders and the fish in the water. The owners have provided all the basics that we needed. As one 6 year old stated "This is my favorite house!" Great Family Weekend

We had a family of 6 adults and 4 children and had plenty of space. The house was very comfortable and well kept. The weather was perfect and everyone enjoyed the cove and the open water with the kayaks and paddle board. The grandsons, ages 2 1/2 to 7, loved paddling over to the bank and playing in the shallow water. I would definitely recommend this house and we plan on staying again. In addition we enjoyed a great Clemson win! We picked apples at a nearby orchard and enjoyed a hike to a waterfall.

Fantastic rental!

What a great weekend we had! The house is fantastic. Very well stocked and clean. The views are beautiful and we loved sitting down on the boat dock with a glass of wine. As the owner said, the bathrooms are dated, but they do the trick. And with views like this house has, who really cares that much about the bathrooms!! In addition, there was a really easy traffic pattern to and from Clemson for the football game. Go Tigers!!

Wonderful location, Plenty of room, Great Owners

This was our second stay at this lake house. It is a perfect fit for our 3 families. Two of the grandsons loved sleeping downstairs. The 3 full baths add to the comfort. We were able to enjoy the lake after Clemson's victory. The cove is perfect for paddle boarding, and kayaking. We had a cookout and enjoyed the deck in the evening. The owners were accessible and responded to any questions we had. This is a place that we would like to return to. Charleston & Wilmington Families.

Nicest People Ever

I can't explain what a great experience we had here. The owners were more than accommodating. We were so happy to get in our early afternoon walk to the Tiki Hut (which was daily) and throughout the day, we got our "steps" in between the dock and the house (for us, we loved it!) The cove was peaceful and anyone we ran into along the water was so friendly. Kayaking to the main open area was beautiful with mountain views and calm waters. The house had everything we needed for any convenience and the owners were always a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Thanks Neil and Lyndon for an amazing stay! We hope to be back soon!

Seneca Winter Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the home was very spacious for the 6 of us. The house could have easily fit 2-4 more people. The house had a great lake view and the owners had kayaks available for us to take out. This is a great location for the summer or even those looking for a place to stay during a Clemson football game. The basement had a ping pong and pool table which we enjoyed. The house was a bit dated but at the same time very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the house was dusty in the master bedroom, the oven had not been cleaned and the water heater was not maybe large enough for 6 people. The owners were readily available for contact when we needed anything.

DO NOT RUIN YOUR VACATION - WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER - THIS HOUSE IS FULL OF CRAP

** Please read this review that can safe your vacation - If you rent this property your vacation will be a disaster.** I was very foolish to rent this place that was not having any review, I was the second guest ever, THESE ARE THE DETAILS OF MY VERY - HORRIBLE - EXPERIENCE: This house was totally not prepare to have guest, the only reason why we stay is because I did not want to ruin my scheduled vacation, I was having two children very excited, a full car with food and cloths for the week. Upon arrival it was totally a shock, we almost cry to see the place not ready. I need to explain you what is wrong: - The house is full of owner's personal staff everywhere (clothes, shoes, books, food, papers,) - Walking closets full of items & clothes NOT PLACE TO PUT MY CLOTHES - Furniture drawers full of clothes & very personal items - Refrigerator full of owner's food – I DID NOT HAVE SPACE ON THE FREEZER FOR MY FOOD, I went to buy one small freezer – WHAT A INCONVENIENCE!!! - On the bathrooms personal items like toothbrush, soap, make-up, creams, cleaning supplies -The basement full of personal photo albums, loose pictures everywhere and filthy. - House was NOT CLEAN, smelling bad, spider webs everywhere and dust and dog hair under furniture's. - The house is listed for 8 people, how they pretend to accommodate 8 people if the WATER HEATER IS ONLY 30 GALLONS???, it will take hours to take a shower all of them. My family was needing to wait at least 45 minutes between showers!!! On the third night of our stay the water heater was not working at all, what a inconvenience not been able to take a shower, I contacted the owner by text, next morning she show up without notice on the door at 8:30am waking up my family and disturbing our privacy. The owner told me that they are new renting this house, so is obvious that they do not how to interact with guest. - TV on living room not working well, and the small TV on the basement is ridicules small (12" inches ) - In the kitchen cabinets very dirty, sink with gung, mold & rust on the faucet I did pay very high price but the house is not worthy the money. That nightly rate is too high when you got nothing. Olga

We are recently married and retired and travel! Neil's career has been as a finance professor at Clemson. Lyndon is a RN and works in oncology research- we are embracing the golden years! Neil is an avid white water kayaker in the summer and snow boarder in the winter! Lyndon takes it a little easy on her stand-up paddle board in the summer and moseying down the easy ski slopes in the winter. We love our lake home and look forward to sharing!

Why they chose this property

Neil bought the lake house in the mid-90's. Being a real estate/finance professor, he carefully watched the market and knew the area was primo! Lakefront, near grocery stores, 10 minutes from Clemson campus!

What makes this property unique

quiet cove with great neighbors- just a kayak paddle away to the Keowee Marina or exploring in neighboring coves! Very short drive to Clemson stadium - 7 miles/10 minutes!
